Very informative staff! Excellent area.

My mother is at Pelican Bay and loving it. She said she is being treated like Royalty. The fact that the Manager speaks Spanish is an added treat for her as she doesn't get to practice her Spanish very often.

Mom is loving being at this lovely facility and the food is delicious. Folks have been warm and welcoming. Seems to be a great fit for all of us since the family is also very welcome there. The Court at Round Rock is wonderful and we are so pleased that it's where Mom chose to live. She's busy walking the hallways for her exercise, since she could not walk where she was due to gravel driveway and busy roads!

We're very pleased with Pelican Bay! It's a well run, clean, and friendly community. It's a very new building, and I like that the entire facility is a single story. They're great about staying in touch with the families, which is especially important for those who don't live close to their loved ones. Our loved one was not on board with the idea of moving in to a community, but after just a short time here she really settled in and started to enjoy herself! They've got a lot to offer here, the care is good, and they have all sorts of entertainment, trips, and activities.

Gae made all the difference in the facility! She was nice, informative, helpful, genuine and knew all the residents by name! She knew that we were on a fact finding mission in regards to what is available in care centers in Corpus Christi. If our mom needed to go to a center today, Garden Estates would be our first choice. We greatly enjoyed a tour of Garden Estates!

I really liked Gae. I think she did an excellent job of selling the place. I feel like my mom would enjoy living here.

It's actually lower priced than some of the other places around. They have a whole list of activities, they put it on the dining room table. It's really good food, they have best hamburgers that you've ever had. It would be nice to have someone be able to accompany them places like doctors appointment, for lab work, or they could come visit. The staff is just wonderful they know all of the residents by name, they know the stuff they like, it's a little bit personalized.

We’ve been very happy. The community is pretty good value. My loved is still in the process of adjusting. IT’s a very clean place. The food is very good, for the most part. That was one of our big concerns was finding a good diet for my loved one. The staff is very friendly.

I only wish I had found Regal Estates back in September when we placed my parents in another facility. I think they would have thrived here instead of going down. It is a place that is full of life with all ranges of people in it. The staff seems very caring & helpful. Mom & Dad like the food. There is always something going on that they can participate in, or they can just sit in one of the courtyards. The price is halve the price of the other facility we had them in & there is absolutely no comparison. Thank God for Regal Estates! Way to go staff.

We have no complaints. Everyone is just so nice and helpful. I haven’t been able to try the food yet, but she loves it so far. She is doing way better at this home. We had her at another community but she’s doing much better here. There is a place for residents to go outside. We’re real happy with it.

They were just amazing through the whole process, they were very compassionate. They were very down to Earth, they weren't uppity, the residents were very happy. A lot of the places we visited, the residents were very snobbish.

My 89 year old mother has always been very independent but her safety is now a concern. She can no longer drive and she needs help with meals, light housekeeping and medication. Therefore, my sisters and I have been searching for a suitable retirement community where she will be supported and, more importantly, happy and safe. We found Garden Estates online and made an appointment with Gae Strenge to visit the complex and, wow! What a fabulous facility! It is beautiful, bright, and clean! Residents are active, smiling and seemingly very happy! In fact, residents approached me to say how happy they are, how great the food is, and they raved about the wonderful facilities. And Gae? She is outstanding! She is very knowledgeable, patient, supportive, very warm and absolutely wonderful. We visited a number of facilities and, while we have not yet made a decision about where Mom eventually will live, Garden Estates is at the very top of the list. The only drawback to our situation is that Garden Estates is farther away than we would like for Mom to be.

We were so fortunate and blessed to have found this wonderful place. I have been extremely pleased with the entire staff of Garden Estates Of Tyler and this, I'm sad to say, is not our first "rodeo" (this will be the 3rd facility my mom has lived at, here in Tyler). They were so inviting, welcoming, friendly, helpful, caring, and warm, at Garden Estates of Tyler, that I must admit, my husband and I were a little envious of my mother actually getting to live there. We chose them not only because of her tight budget, but because of their eagerness to help us, to help my mom feel comfortable and right at home. Their genuine care and concern for their residents was evident each time we paid a visit...it was told in the happy, smiling faces of, not only their employees, but better still told in the faces of their residents. We didn't just see it in their faces, we heard it straight from their lips! They eagerly jumped at the chance to tell us and my mom what a wonderful place it was and how happy they were to be there! And it wasn't just one or two residents...one or two times that we were there...it was nearly EVERY resident we came across, EVERY time we were there! Now that was impressive and couldn't be faked and couldn't be bought! If the residents living there went out of their way to meet my mom (and us) just to tell her how happy they were to be there, to welcome her, and to advise her "it would be the best decision she ever made to move there." Well, it became a no brainer on our part! A clean well cared for and up-kept facility, reasonable pricing, a great friendly, caring staff, lots of activities, great food, outings, happy and well cared for residents treated with respect and dignity, and lots and lots of smiling faces everywhere you look...what's not to love about Garden Estates of Tyler! Like I said...it's a no brainer!

I'd give them top marks across the board. They have a very personal touch here, they're warm and seem to genuinely care about the residents, and they work hard to help new people settle in and alleviate the stress of the whole moving situation.

They're doing a great job here. It's a nice looking facility and the staff are all very friendly and professional. One of the major factors when we selected it was that we saw it received a 100% rating during a state examination, so we knew they were a high quality community.

My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the whole package. Our mother/mother-in-law is very pleased with her accomodations, and treatment by management and staff. Victoria Bryant and Judy Grayson have been a real pleasure to work with, and the staff is friendly, alert, and comforting. We have recommended the facility to several people.

We first visited Garden Estates of Corpus Christi on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014. It had became evident to my husband and me that [removed] a longtime dear friend should consider moving into a Sr. Retirement facility. She was very much opposed and felt that she could continue living alone in her home. After church She agreed to go with us and visit a few communities. After visiting 3 facilities she was still opposed to moving, but we decided to visit one more, Garden Estates, before calling it quits for the day. It was late afternoon on Sunday and we doubted that anyone would be available to show us around and answer all of our questions, We walked in and asked for a tour. The next hour was one of the most delightful experiences that we've had lately! Gae Strenge greeted us and sat down to get to know Nancy before showing us an apartment. In 3 minutes we all felt like we had known her all of our lives. She showed us several apartments and explained everything about the facility. As we walked through the main lobby and the halls we saw many residents who's faces lit up when they saw Gae. She knew them all by name and introduced us. Gae, Janet at the front desk, as well as the residents, made us feel quite welcome. We stayed 2 hours, and were served coffee and scones. Gae invited us to come back on Monday and have lunch and discuss any necessary details. As we got in the car to leave, Nancy said, "I like THIS place!" When we asked her what she liked best, she said, "Gae Strenge!" I'm sure that you already know that Gae Strenge is a SUPERSTAR! My husband is a retired hospital administrator and he said if he was still working he would hire Gae away from there to work for him. Bottom line: in less than 2 weeks Nancy had moved in and was settled in her apartment. She has been there 7 days and is comfortable and happy. It has been a smooth transition and the staff has done everything they can to make her feel welcome. She is participating in the planned activities and enjoying the pleasant surroundings and the awesome meals.

We liked this facility very much and it is our first choice for independent assisted living partially due to location and cost. We are currently wait listed at this facility.

They are doing a good job, they are clean and friendly. I can't really think of anything that could be improved. The staff were probably the main deciding factor for us.

I cannot say enough good things about Pelican Bay. I think the facility inside looks like a high end resort. The staff are so kind and caring. And my aunts needs are met promptly. We are very pleased.
