This is in regard to secure Memory Care floor upstairs: - nice size apartment -Max of 18 residents -excellent food/meals - same food residents in assisted and independent - activities they can choose to participate in (even off floor and in other areas on campus) - apartment has a small kitchen like area which helps to make it feel like an apartment, and two rooms, not just a bed. - most staff are caring but nights and weekends can sometimes seem like one more worker would be helpful. Overall would definitely recommend- toured most in WH and Lake Wales. It is a stand out. Please note - Waters Edge is strictly private pay and quite costly.

Tuscan Gardens is perfect for my husband who needs memory care. The unit is bright and cheery (just redid all common spaces) with a number of comfortable gathering spots for residents as well as family. Staff are always encouraging residents to join in activities & to mix and mingle with other residents. But, as with all institutions, sometimes things fall through the cracks. Eating utensils left off a tray, bed linens not changed as scheduled, allowing residents to skip hygiene or changing clothes. All in all the administration is very supportive of residents and their families. They are also easily accessible. Even my husband has expressed feeling comfortable with his new environment and the people he interacts with.

We recently had a scheduled visit with Grand Villa in Clearwater. After viewing other places, we weren't as impressed. The rooms were smaller but the facility is clean. Only small coffee area. No bar area for seniors to interact with each other. Veterans area outdated games. Only one dining area. The staff and residents were very friendly.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Grand Villa East, where my mother has been living since [Date Removed]. From the moment she arrived, we felt a genuine sense of warmth and comfort. The staff is incredibly caring, attentive, and truly supportive—they treat residents like family. The director, [Name Removed], is exceptional. She is always on top of everything and addresses any need or concern quickly and thoughtfully, which gives our family great peace of mind. There is also a strong sense of community here. The residents are friendly and welcoming, making it a lovely place to live and visit. I’m so grateful my mother is in such a positive, caring environment., is exceptional. The two gentlemen that my husband and I spoke with were professional. The tour of the facilities was impressive however, the two week minimum respite was not to my satisfaction since I would be requesting only four to five days for my 89 year old mother.

The first time my father stayed at Grand Villa, was for a respite stay in late [Date Removed]. He expressed he enjoyed his stay and contemplated the idea of becoming a resident. [Name removed] was our main point of contact and communication during his short-term stay. In mid [Date Removed] my dad moved in! We like his room and just installed a TV and got him a mini fridge for snacks. Grand Villa offers game night and other activities, which my father enjoys. They also provide 3 healthy meals per day. One thing though, is the staff/nurses response care. My dad has expressed that when needing assistance to get around to the restroom, help has taken longer than expected. Overall, my dad likes his residence so far.

I am a resident and have lived at grand Villa for five years. I feel very safe especially after meeting my best friend [name removed] year ago. I feel that all of our needs are met. The staff are very nice.

I have been a resident at Grand Villa for a little over 1 year after living alone for four years after my wife passed. After moving in I had the opportunity to meet and make new friends. I am completely independent requiring no assistance. However if I did. The staff are readily available and generally very attentive.

As far as the facility goes, I would highly recommend it to families whose loved ones are social and need support with some activities of daily living, but are largely independent. Cost wise we found it competitive with other facilities that didn't offer as large of apartments or near the opportunities for exercise and social interaction. [Name Removed], one of the Leasing Coordinators, "was a gem" and extremely intentional and helpful in getting to know my Mom's personality and interests, and connecting her with events she would enjoy. There were many opportunities for social interaction at mealtimes and numerous planned events. My Mother, was very social, loved simply sitting in the lobby and watching all the hustle and bustle of people coming and going. She also loved music and found lots scheduled events with music, including a choir! There was a great support system among other residents and they welcomed my Mother enthusiastically. Resident ambassadors helped Mom find her way around and acclimate to life there. My only negative was that as my Mother declined and fell several times in one day, our communication with staff and leadership broke down. Response times from HHA staff seemed slow when Mom had a bad episode of vertigo one Saturday. Mom reported to me that she fell twice and pulled the emergency chain in the bathroom each time that morning. The electronic record verified this and response times were 9 minutes and 5 minutes respectively. Family was not notified. Though my Mother described her experiences in great detail and call system verified Mom's account of times, the floor staff did not report any falls to Nursing, Management or to us. Management did not get back to us after their inquiry report as promised. I happened to be in FL that weekend and took Mom to ER. She was hospitalized for symptoms of vertigo. After discharge, Mom required a higher level of PT and care than available at GV in assisted living and had to go to a Nursing Home. Falls happen in the elderly. It's difficult for families as try to balance care decisions with so many factors and as in our case from a distance in another state. Overall Grand Villa, Clearwater was a great experience for Mom. I wish she could have lived there earlier when she had more strength and could have enjoyed all that was offered.

I am very happy with Waters Edge of Bradenton! Great staff! They do a lot of activities with their residents! I would recommend to others!

[name removed] was very welcoming on a Sunday afternoon for my tour. The grounds were dry and shabby, maybe because of the drought. Inside was clean and nice.

After visiting several assisted living places, we chose this one. The staff was very friendly and professional. The apartments were new and clean. They had nice-sized kitchens and more closet space than other places. The dining area looked like fine dining. And there are activities all day long for the residents.

My tour was very nice. The woman who showed me around was very informative and helpful in answering my questions. Very nice place and I liked the idea it is located near downtown. It will be awhile to make a decision to make the move.

The community is well kept, updated. The only complaint from my mom is that the food needs to be better. Yes, I would recommend it to others.

The tour was good the only drawback one bathroom in a two-bedroom apartment. It would be so difficult sharing as although we need to downsize and find a place for my husband with his declining health and the process is over whelming for us it is a real deal breaker.

It was terrific. They just couldn't accommodate her needs after a fall, she needed full nursing at that point. Otherwise, a wonderful place. I would absolutely recommend them to others who are searching for care for their loved one.

I found them short of staff for weekends. Staff was stretched. We were there less than 2 weeks. They could not handle [name removed] as declined rapidly and had to be sent to a skilled nursing facility where he passed on [date removed].

I was told that I do not qualify for your facilities. Was looking forward to it, from what I could see, however I need to be in a nursing facility.

Met with management and had a great tour. There are minor concerns but it is only because my wife and I are looking for a bigger apartment with washer dryer plus a larger kitchen area. However, their dining facilities are impressive and the surrounding areas are well kept.

The staff took really good care of my mom! She liked them a lot.
