DELIGHTED

We are so delighted! From the time we interviewed the staff to the last diaper change of our Papita, this place is top notch. Staff is kind, attentive, and supportive. Common areas are bright and clean and appealing to Papita. Couldn't recommend a better place in the area.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff, spaciousness of the Memory Care area, engaging and friendly atmosphere and scheduled activities for the clientele. The facility and gardens were well maintained and inviting. Because of it's size it was able to integrate all levels of those suffering the ravages of dementia/Alzehemers while maintaining a high level of personal attention to detail in programming to suit individual wants and needs .

The reviews I read did not do justice. I almost did not tour, and now I have my mother here. We are very pleased with all the help that we received.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

A Loving Sanctuary

Mom and Dad were determined to stay at home. Eventually it was clear they needed assisted living help. Luckily I had started my search months earlier; and with the help of a referral from A Place for Mom, I found Barrington Terrace of Naples. Georgie, in the marketing department, provided information to both me and my parents 3-months prior to their final decision to move in. She had the patience of a saint while Mom and Dad were in decision/acceptance mode, thoroughly answered all my questions, and helped me with contact information to verify technical information with the State of Florida. Once my parents decided it was time to leave home, Georgie and the entire Barrington Terrace team handled my parents admittance with utmost professionalism and compassion. Mom was very particular. I was so pleased when she said, "this is a really nice place: pretty, clean, the food is good, and everyone is so nice -- staff and residents." Within a week of their move-in, I could see the difference in Mom and Dad -- their stress was gone, Dad was joking with folks, they were comfortable in Barrington with its attentive staff, and they could relax knowing they were in competent hands. Little did we all know that God would call them both so soon. Within weeks of their admittance, they both passed away. I recall the day hospice called to let me know my mother had only 24 hours left. I called the apartment; Dad answered the phone and said, "we're just sitting here holding hands, honey. We're okay. " Later that day Dad died and the next day Mom. Jennifer, of Barrington's nursing staff, cared for both of them with the compassion of an angel and the utmost nursing professionalism providing both medical and comfort care. I especially appreciated Jennifer calling me from their apartment so that I could say my final good-bye to Mom just before she died. After 63 years of marriage, Barrington provided the caring environment for Mom and Dad to die together in peace and comfort just as they had prayed they would. To anyone considering Barrington Terrace of Naples, I highly recommend it. You will find their regulatory record to be impeccable, and their care to meet your highest expectations. When it is my time to make a choice, I hope I am blessed with such a lovely place.

A Beautiful Experience

Our experience with Barrington Terrace was short but beautiful. My mother was only there for 3 weeks before she passed away but she received loving care and our family were treated as though we were family members of the staff. Some of the attendants even hugged us when Mom passed. It seemed the staff felt they had lost someone meaningful as well. This was a very positive experience and our entire family felt supported by everyone at this lovely facility. Thank you all

Helpful And Responsive

Overall organization is very helpful and responsive. Little confusion with clothes getting hung up upon admission. Administration needs some organization and this was the best one of three facilities looked at. The value is above all with care and staff is very experienced. Numerous activities that patient can join.

Glad we chose Barrington Terrace

They have some of the most caring people I could ask for. The nursing staff is beyond good, especially Phyllis. They cater to the family as well as the residence without hesitation. They immediately contact the family if there is a problem, such as fall, or worse. I am totally satisfied as the daughter of a residence.

Good Community

The activities my parents took part in were really great. The minute you walk through the door you are family and you have nothing to worry about – your loved ones are cared for. The food declined after a personnel change, but it’s recovering. This is a good community.

caring and dedicated staff

I think it’s a very caring and dedicated staff. The staff has the good of the residents at heart. My loved is younger and sometimes it’s a little hard to be near persons completing the life process. I think it’s a very good community.

Barrington Terrace was a great choice.

I looked at many places for my Dad and the Barrington Terrace fit our needs the best. Jeannette was our contact there and she could not have been more personal, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We must have met with her at least 4 or 5 times with our family to answer our questions and to guide us through our decision making process. Dad has been there for about 2 months now and we are glad we chose the Barrington. He is too. He is getting excellent care and service - much better than he could get at home. Easy access to in-house physical therapy with a staff that encourages independence with assistance has made a big difference in Dad's physical as well as mental outlook. To go into assisted living was a difficult decision at the time, but now we think we all (including Dad) should have made it earlier. Thank you to the Barrington Terrace for being there for us.

It's been great, they've been very acommodating.

It's been great, they've been very acommodating. Most of them were friendly. I thought the value was good. They had a lot of wonderful variety of activities and a very full schedule everybody seemed very busy there. He was very picky but what he ate he did like, I would give the food a four. He had a very hard time understanding the Haitian accent of a lot of the workers and a lot of them had a hard time understanding him they didn't speak very good English. So the communication was a little hard, the accents made it difficult. They didn't cut up his food like they were supposed to because he was blind and sometimes wouldn't identify themselves right away when they walked into his room.

Where I want to be put when the time comes!

I found Belfair Gardens a beautiful almost fairytale step back in time to the youthful years of my father. The staff is some of the most alive, vibrant and creative that I have ever met. Although my father's condition dramatically worsened preventing him from remaining at that facility, I hope that one day I might be put in such a wonderland of stimulation and joy as I found there. If you were looking for a locked ward as my father needed, this facility has a true secure set up that left me knowing with confidence that he was there and safe without question. I wish he had been able to enjoy a longer time there before his condition made him in need of a different facility but I strongly and highly recommend it.

Wayman Place

Our experience with Wayman Place has been so far, so good; I have no real complaints. I do think that more information should be given to new people, like how to find and ask for things. They could have a more detailed tour or a thorough orientation that includes a listing of things and services. Otherwise they're great, I know they have been busy with the hurricane. The community is clean, my loved one loves it so far and my grandparent does too, but if they didn't ask for things like schedules, they wouldn't know. They need a little help brushing up on that, but other than that, it's good.

Highly recommend

We did have an incident with someone stealing my loved ones expensive mattress pad and they were not able to find it. I had to buy another one and the office said that they will reimburse me for it so that was very nice of them. I do think they could use some improvements with the laundry. I would absolutely recommend Barrington Terrace of Naples to others looking.

Room for improvement in family engagement, but overall a good place.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, especially if it's your first time going down this road. If I had a second go-around, I would have more specific follow-up questions after their general presentation. For example, do they have a la carte care services you can add on, manicure/pedicure, etc. The term "all-inclusive" includes only what they provide, not necessarily what you would like to see them provide. Middle management has been very cooperative, supportive and understanding, and very much in compliance. They're very receptive if you contact them with a concern. The caregivers, it depends. Some are exceptionally good, and some just do their job. But I recognize that it's a very difficult job to do, and I have tremendous empathy for them. I think the staff to resident ratio is unrealistic, even though theirs is better than the minimum required ratio. I haven't tasted the food, but it appears to be well presented, and I see no issue with portions or things of that nature. They have weekly off-campus bus trips where they go out to lunch or visit museums and a variety of places. I would like to see them do more of that, but they seem to keep the residents pretty well engaged. I just wish that some of the field trips weren't at an additional charge but instead were included in the monthly fee as part of the services. The value is good, but I would pay even more for them to do more.

Our time at Barrington Terrace was amazing. The staff was incredible! Very caring and attentive. The communication from the staff was constant. I feel very comfortable recommending Barrington Terrace in East Naples to everyone. My Dad was very happy in the Memory Care unit. [name removed], in charge of the unit, has an excellent team and is excellent with the guest, patients, and family.

Mom is happy

The staff at this community are very attentive and caring. They welcomed mom's niece by name when she came to visit for the first time. They invited her to play bingo with mom. Mom says the food is excellent. The community is clean and I would highly recommend it. It is an older community but you look past that when you see the staff.

A Wonderful Place

My mother is in Bloom at Belfair. The personnel is extremely competent and extremely friendly. They have made my mother feel right at home. During the evacuation for the Hurricane Matthew they did an unbelievable job transporting the residents to safety and during the entire stay they made this time so much fun for all. My mom said it was a great vacation. We moved from out of state and it was a difficult adjustment for my mom. In a short time they have welcomed her and she likes it there better than her previous place in Maryland. Thank you so much The Bloom at Belfair.
