Senior Lifestyle - Suites

My father has lived at Senior Suites for over a year now and is very happy. The facility is safe, clean, affordable and in a good location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is a great facility for independent living. Highly recommend it!

I chose this community because when I went for a visit the staff was really friendly and the atmosphere is really nice. The environment is beautiful and there is lots of green around. This community is right across the street from a city park. The buildings are very well maintained and the overall cleanliness of the community is great.

Really liked the "vibe." Meals $1.50 at the Senior Center next door. Great location.

I meet with Director she was a very pleasant person. The only thing is I just put my name on the waiting list. I feel things went well.

I am living here almost 3 months. The residents are very friendly. The community staff is friendly and courteous. They provide lots of activities for the residents. When I applied for the apartment I was shown a 5th floor apartment. About 3 weeks before moving in I was shown an apartment on the 3rd floor, next to the elevators and laundry room. I wanted the other apartment on the 5th floor. I had spent a lot of time waiting to move. The rooms are nice, but the noise is about to drive me crazy. The residents slam their doors ALL NIGHT AND DAY. They use the laundry room ALL NIGHT AND DAY. Sound like someone is throwing furniture around over my head constantly. I complained to management a few times and was promised it would be taken care of. Nothing has changed. I wish I had gotten the other apartment. I like it here. I just can't stand the noise. It is making me very nervous. Can't rest. Can't sleep well.

The staff is awesome([name removed])! Could be a bit cleaner and possibly more diverse.

Overall, I was pleased with Senior Suites while my Mother was there. I did feel the prices were high for Seniors living on a fixed income, and there could have been more activites as well. There were a few personell problems with mangers quitting, but the property was kept up, and my Mother enjoyed her time there.

They offer excercise equipment...but only on 1 flr in a community room and it is all old or broken cannot use Asked for a treadmill which is more beneficial towards seniors and we were told no but they keep bikes there that don't work and they say we have exercise equipment and a lot of people can't use it at all. Ppl on the most part of 1 or 2 are friendly. Office staff, maintenance are all very nice. Downside.... Hallway walls need to be painted,carpet cleaned as well as ALL community rooms, cameras on all floors by elevators... Patio area nice but to be able to have a electric grill fir u to use n the summer more parking 2entrances/ exits for the parking it would be nice instead of only 1 onto Harlem Ave.. Pet friendly NO POOP STATIONS..BLINDS in community rooms replaced outside windows washed...looking out them is like looking into a fog or snow storm...some windows don't open or super hard to open.

The kitchen layout is to small to accommodate handicapped individuals using a wheelchair. Also, the young receptionist at the entrance was not accommodating when I went to visit my friend. I couldn't remember the apt #.

[names removed] is the best part of staying at Senior Suites of Joliet for my mother. They seem to always make her feel special, like family is always around.

Parking spaces are too little for those with disabilities. The 2 handicap ?? spaces are for visitors only. Which does not make sense. Today I tried to get in my space pulling in Forward and then backwards and Was unable to open my driver's door to get out. Something has to be done to accommodate the people who live here. I would recommend them because of my neighbors. Everyone looks out for each other.

I am currently a resident at Senior Suites of Bellwood and the overall experience at this facility has been okay for me, so far. The cleanliness and friendliness are good. The staff, activities and meals are okay. I would recommend Senior Suites of Bellwood to others.

I was previously a resident at Senior Suites of Rainbow Beach and I had a bad time while living there. The cleanliness was great. The staff was good. The overall experience was just okay. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Senior Suites of Rainbow Beach to any of my friends or anyone. They dig too much into your business and, to me, they are not fair.

Appears clean, friendly people

We were greeted with kindness and competence to see the facility. Although we were not able to see the 1 bdrm we saw the studio that is very spacious. The unit did not have the stove and the refrigerator was old and unprepared for a viewing. I am glad to see the seniors in the lobby enjoying each others company and dancing.

My apartment is nice inside. There is many safety issues. They don't paint that often, and a few tenants had issues. You need cameras these days. Please let every Senior know to get some kind of camera for their safety. Peace is what most Seniors need.

They couldn't keep a director. Not aware of who their client is....disabilities, medical, former employment. Activity coordinator who talks to all the residents, food service needs to be provided as an option. Too much smoking in building. If they match the need of the client, then sure I would recommend them to others.

The staff is very friendly and professional. The apartments are fine. I would refer this facility. They always call me back, when I have questions or concerns.
