My loved one is currently a resident at Senior Suites of Washington Heights and the overall experience has been mostly good. However, the hallway carpet on my loved one's floor is filthy. It has not been shampooed. I've spoken to management but there has been no resolution. The staff and the friendliness has been great. The care services have been good.

My mom loves it here. She's very happy which is all that matters to me. The carpet in the hallways can be a little cleaner (needs to be replaced). The office staff is friendly and responsive, especially if you establish your own relationship with them. Make sure you always advocate for your senior loved ones! They generally handle service requests pretty quickly, as well as medical emergencies. There are lots of activities and outings, which fosters friendships and community. It's not cheap to live here. If your senior is lucky enough to get into one of the reduced units, then its pretty affordable. I think the rent can certainly be lowered to be more in line with the reality of senior incomes. Overall, a lovely place. My mom experiences lots of joy here.
