My mom's been a resident for a little less than a month, but so far we're very happy we chose The Breakers. The 1-bedroom apartment is roomy, clean, recently updated... and has a beautiful view. The staff is great and they've obviously made a point to make Mom feel welcome and chat with her by name. This is the first time our mom's ever lived alone, so that makes a huge difference. Also, the residents at Breakers are really friendly and active They seem to be connected to each other and the lakeshore community around them. Its a lovely residence facility.

Our mother (88 y.o., w/moderate dementia, moved to North Shore Place only a month ago, after living independently in her condo for 12 years. However, based only upon this short time, my 2 brothers and I are confident that our choice of NSP was a good one. When a vulnerable loved one lives far from family members, it's critical that one can trust an assisted living facility to have the best interests of residents in mind, since personal observation and monitoring is impossible. While we knew that our mother valued her privacy and autonomy, we increasingly worried about her ability to live safely on her own - she no longer drove, compliance with medication regimens and appropriate nutrition was deteriorating, and, most importantly, self-awareness of her condition and need to recognize when she needed help was rapidly vanishing. Now that she lives at NSP, we know that she receives her medication as ordered, enjoys (really! not just consumes) 3 meals a day in a dining room that resembles a pleasant restaurant, is surrounded by universally-friendly nursing assistants and other staff, and spends most of her free time in a comfortable, one-bedroom apartment that we have decorated with family photographs and other personal items. Activities are readily available, although Mom usually does not participate, while acknowledging that she might "at some time". Maintaining her important relationships with friends and synagogue were of primary importance to us when choosing a facility, and NSP is literally minutes from her previous home and primary shopping area. When we visit, a Marriott hotel is across the street (altho NSP also has a guest room). A car and driver is usually available on a first-come, first-served basis; however, to date, transportation has been provided by ourselves when visiting or friends. More than anything, however, is the positive and welcoming attitude of the staff. Everyone knew Mom's name within days of her arrival. When we are away, she is seated with other residents so that she can feel a part of the community; if she isn't in her apartment when medications are due, the CNA will come looking for her; her forgetfulness is recognized and accommodated. While Mom acknowledges that, while she wishes that her condition did not required she leave her independent life-style, she is glad to be in a place such as North Short Place, and so are we.

My father is doing well since moving in. it seems like they are taking good care of him. He is enjoying the meals and they offer a variety of activities for when he is ready to join. We have no complaints.

We were happy with the care at this community. the staff were outstanding and careing. The community was always clean and well taken care of. The meals had a nice variety. We like the care and the value that we given here and would recommend other families to this outstanding care and value

Everything seems well suited for my mother. The community seems to be well-kept.

We toured this nice community and we liked the tour The staff was able to answer the questions we had on the beautiful community. This community is on the lake and a park close by. The menu is nice and the variety is outstanding. The other residents also seemed to be active. We highly recommend this community to other families for great care.

My parents seem to be adjusting well at Courtyard Fountains. They haven't joined in on activities but they are available to them.They make their meals in their apartment and eat out so they haven't tried the food in the dining room.One thing Courtyard Fountains could improve is having emergency buttons or cords. My father fell in the laundry room and there was no way for him to alert anyone. One thing that impressed me is [Removed], the Head of Maintenance drove my mother to her pain doctor and picked her up free of charge on a day they don't normally offer transport services.

I like the look of the community and how much the staff do for the residents. I like everything, they have top notch care and really try to get the residents involved with activities. They helped me out so much, it is an amazing gift for us and I am so thrilled they are caring for my dad. He is getting care he needs and in safe environment. The staff are great, helpful, attentive, and giving me updates. The meals and activities have been good and suitable. I would recommend them to anyone.

My mother was having a difficult time adjusting at The Sheridan but the last three weeks have been very good for us. The staff is adequate and meets her care needs. I feel they could encourage her more to participate in activities. We chose The Sheridan because it newly built, modern and offered a large apartment with full size appliances. The atmosphere is very uplifting and the staff is so friendly.

This is a nice community for good care. The staff are very nice and caring to my mom's needs. They do offer nice activies for her to participate. The meals could use some improvements. The community is clean and we would recommend this community for the care of a love one and a good value for others.

I just wanted to say thank you for the Great care I received at Wellspring during my rehab stay. The therapy services were really good. I felt I was treated with respect and dignity from all personnel. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a great place to provide excellent care.

On the tour here I got to see a very nice community and the apartment that was shown to me looked like a small room. The price was pretty good but I didn't choose them.

I had taken a lot of tours of all the different communities for my mother and this one was by far the cleanliest and best for your dollar out of all of the facilities we had looked at. The staff has been very friendly and welcoming to her as well as trying to accommodate her needs as best as possible. The food and activities are impressive as well as the amenities they have throughout the building.

Great services, activities, and meals at a good price. My dad loves the look of the building, the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, and the taste and variety of the food. He has internet service and cable tv with his favorite channels.

My mother is a resident here and things seem to be going well. I've visited her a few times and it has been clean.I am comfortable with the care she's getting here. She is not involved in activities because she is still getting acclimated.

I am happy with the community. The staff is caring and helpful with their needs. The meals are outstanding and they are enjoyed. They do have a lot of activities that are the offer to my parents, but at this time they are not wanting to participate. I do like knowing that they are in good care in this community and I recommend other families to this community for care.

I have been a resident for seven months. I have no complaints. I find the staff excellent. I recommend Lincolnwood Place.

We really enjoyed touring Barrington with [Removed]. We ended up at another closer location, but the apartments here are beautiful. Nice architectural details and welcoming staff.
