Savant Senior Living

Overall it's been a very positive experience. I think the people that work there are just terrific and really care about the residents. They're actually in the process of renovating so it's kind of hectic but I saw some of what they're doing and it's going to be even nicer than it is. This is our first experience with assited living or independent living. My mother complains that the meal time is too short and too early but otherwise, her room is really very nice and the facility is nice. The staff is incredibly helpful so overall it's been very positive. Part of why we chose this is the location is very close to the UCLA medical facilities so my mom can walk to a lot of her doctors and in terms of what you can get in Santa Monica it's a tremendous value, very affordable.

Nice staff, helpful, new director is personable, well-run facility with good communication between staff and resident's family. Food is boring and repetitive.

Absolutely Wonderful! I think that they're trying hard to satisfy their guests and it's just a very positive place to be. There is an activities director that lead exercises and games and they do outings. My mom is in a wheelchair so she doesn't get on the bus much but they also provide the bus to take them to the doctor or whatever. They have religious people come in and do services or read the bible which my mom appreciates. My mom likes it pretty well. She's much happier than the last place and she's more communicative.

They're pretty good and everybody is very nice. I think it's worth the cost; can you really put a cost on taking care of your mom? They've got 36 people doing what I've been doing for the past two years by myself so I think it's worth it. My mom doesn't do what they ask her to do so it's not that they don't offer things. They do a good job of taking care of her physical needs. I can say that they offer activities but my mom hasn't participated yet because she's busy being mad about being there. They have stuff for her to do from after breakfast all the way to dinner. I saw the calender and they have bingo, knitting, crafts, exercise classes - a reasonable amount of stuff for her to do.

This would have been a great place for them......but again, they are not licensed correctly to take my parent's long term care policy....

we looked at this residence last year and were very impressed. It was my first choice, very clean, friendly and the attitude of the manager was very elder sensitive.

just right for her but no evening activities....still not sure if she can manage without one to one care at night.

Very Helpful, possibility

Liked the owner and long term employee I met very much. Like the location. Rooms/bathrooms were best I've seen in first couple days. Extremely active building, possibly overwhelming to a newcomer.

Beautiful, grounds, filled with light. Wonderful rooms. Next to state of art Senior Center, park, library. Director former student, will work with me as much as possible on price if get two units. Only issue is if need add on services like dressing bathing must privately contract with health worker, not provided by staff. Although can combine with other residents to control cost. A PLACE TO CONSIDER.

Friendly and dedicated staff. Seemed to provide the most value of the places seen so far. If more advanced dementia care is needed, the transition is easy. A one month trial visit is available.

This is very nice. It is being completely remodeled.

Very nice location, but not for my Aunt. Food was ok, but the kitchen remodel is a week away from reopening so the catering is out-sourced. Friendly staff, pretty suburban crowd.Super nice staff!

very nice. a lot like the Paso location. location for dad to have to go smoke a concern but overall very nice has small man made lake and lots of activities.

We had a nice tour at Villa de Anza. There weren’t as many options available regarding types of rooms. But the admissions person was really friendly and helpful.

This community was okay but it did not compare with another community that I was looking at. The tour was great and they were able to answer all of my questions.

This community reminded me more of skilled nursing. Everyone was very pleasant but felt more like skilled nursing than assisted living.

I toured this facility while I was looking for a place for my loved one. Brookdale has two locations in the area and I prefer the other one. This community has a beautiful balcony but it’s not landscaped at all. The staff member who gave me the tour was fairly young and they tried very hard but they didn’t know much. They didn’t reach out to me after the tour to guide me through paperwork. The building itself didn’t seem as safe and the residents would just walk around outside. It needs to be more secure
