Really liked the Sony studio film decour and it was clean and spacious. Very close to the senior center for more activities. Rooms larger and nice.

We haven't had any problems, whenever we address an issue they handle it right away. When you walk by they say hi and ask if anyone needs help. They were at first overcharging but they re-evaluated her care needs and pro-rated her stay. They have little trips on thursdays, games and, exercise programs. I would give the food a four. They could do a little better at keeping the food hot through all the services of meals. They make sure everyone is out at their meals and do a good job getting people to participate. This community was close to us and the price wasn't bad and when we went in there there were people out moving around on the porch and the patio.

Things are wonderful, theyre doing great, this is her 5th month there and she loves it. She's pretty much to herself because she has early dementia so I think she's afraid she's going to forget but she gets out and does things; for the most part she enjoys it there and she's making friends. The communication with the staff is fine, everything seems to be pretty good right now. She hasn't had any complaints, we haven't had any complaints. They take really good care of her, her whole demeanor is happier and whenever we pick her up she asks when she can go back home. She has peace and quiet there. Before, she was living with my sister and that was too much for her so this is good for her. We liked that they took care of them and did everything for them.

Super clean, super professional, grounds are green, maintained well. very nice floor plans of total layout of the property.

Friendly, professional, knowledgeable staff; Stacie was a delight; She shared a lot of time with me answering questions. Facility clean, spacious, open; a good variety of activities to choose from; Facility close to community shopping. Could benefit from shade trees, to cool the walks around the building down; but today was extremely hot in Riverside!

Holiday Villa East is pretty diverse in term of ages. There are people from 65 and up. Some of the residents here are very active and that is what we were looking for. Our loved one is very active and we wanted a place where he would be able to makes friends and stay active. The staff here is extremely friendly and extremely accommodating. We are very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone.

I really like Sudio Royale. My mom seems to be really happy there. She just went from a semi private to a private room. She's keeping really active - exercising 45 minutes a day, paying cards and bingo. They sometimes have people come in an play music and sing. I looked into quite a few places and I think she feels comfortable in a place like this. There are a lot more luxurious places but that's not my mom. These are just really nice, friendly people. It feels like quite a bit that she is paying but nothing is cheap today. It's affordable compared to other places. She loves the food. The portions are really large and they serve meat with practically every meal which she has to cut down on. She asked for more salads and now they're giving her salads so that's good.

(Activities Not Rated) The condition of community really made it one of the top communities on our list. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. They really tried to help whenever they could. It was a good community.

It was recommended by A Place for Mom and when we went to visit the community we just liked it. The community was very nice and it just seemed like it was the right fit for our situation. We are pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone.

I picked Garden of Palms becuase everyone has worked there for a really long time. There is no one inexperienced there. The person that has worked there the least amount of time has been there for 5 years - that's the chef. They know what they're doing and really care. I don't know a lot about the activities because my mom doesn't really participate, but it seems like they have a lot to offer.

(Activities Not Rated) The geographical location of this community is one reason we chose it. The staff seemed very nice and the apartments were a good size. We really do not have anything to complain about with Emeritus. In the area they are the best combination of staff, price, food and size. When you put it all together it is just the overall best value. We are paying $2,700 a month plus any add on for additional care services.

We chose Emeritus because the community and staff really impressed us. When people ask me about it I tell them that it can be compared to a “Las Vegas hotel” The staff is really friendly and try to help as best as they can. I looked at about 3 other communities at asked about several others and Emeritus was the best price compared to the other. We really like this place and it’s really nice. “I’m sold!” If I could afford to put my husband and me in this community I would move in too.

2/13: Yahoo ... I believe this is it. Put $500 down to hold a room (refundable). About 15-20 minute drive. The facility and management team were nice, and the cost right in our budget. In a nice neighborhood. Mom will not be able to smoke in the room or on the patio/balcony; they have smoking available in the courtyard. There is a pond with ducks and fish; they have live fishing in the summer with a fish [removed] The studio is small but suitable; and we can upgrade to the deluxe if she wants a larger room. She can bring pics/figurines to put on walls. Personal and linen are laundered once a week; individual rooms and not with other residents so don't have to worry about clothes getting mixed up; or she can use free non-coin op machines to wash her own. Room is located on 2nd floor, next to exit; around the corner from the elevator ... hall is shorter (less walking) and close to office/diner/activities when she gets off the elevator. Rental increases are 3%-6%; did not see one in January (adjust budget for increase in 2014).

Clean. Lots of activities. Friendly/kind staff. $200 deposit. Allows pets. Nice size rooms. Clean and sunny. Love the santa monica location.

Loved this place right up Glenoaks. Very pleasant and comfortable. Nice dining room pretty lobby. Rooms were very nice size. A single $1800.00 double $2300.00. Brochure is $1900.00 but a double for $1800.00. To divide room long dresser with mirror divided room.

What helped us make our decision to pick Studio Royale for our loved one is when we spoke to the staff and the residents living there they told us just how much they liked it. Based on our current experience we would absolutely recommend the Studio Royale community to other families.
