I like that there is a lot of friendly people. I like most of the things they do for us.

Decor and cleanliness is good. Residents are happy. However, billing is not detailed. We have been charged for services not performed. They were removed once discussed with billing dept

Had we not gone with the facility closer to us, my dad-in-law probably would have gone here. [Name removed] was very helpful in explaining the assessment process and getting a nurse out to assess him at his nursing home prior to his unexpectedly fast discharge. What keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that they are still in transition to a new company, so at the time, the lake that is nearby them was not yet owned by them and had a little too much algae. Once cleaned up, it will look nicer. It was still a very peaceful and scenic spot. The one-bedroom we saw was fairly spacious, although in the model we saw, the air conditioning unit was a little close to the bed. It is an older property, but other than the lake, looks mostly well-maintained and is priced at a good value compared with other communities of its size.

We returned with my wife's parents and the staff and [name removed] were exceptionally hospitable (the welcome sign at the front and greeting by many staff members as well as Lunch on the outdoor patio was Excellent!!!)

This senior living option provides many amenities we are seeking for my mom, but I think 2 nurses handling 173 residents is not enough for that large a population. We are looking for an assisted living facility with a smaller residential population: something more personal and intimate for my mom, so she gets the individual attention she needs, at this point. [Name removed] was professional, but I found her energy a bit cold and disinterested once we ascertained that my mom had been outpriced on her monthly budget due to the care level she requires.

We strongly considered this for my mother. [Name removed] was wonderful. Our reason for not choosing it boiled down to the room layout we were looking at, the location - Ventura Blvd. in the front and the freeway in back - and the fact that they didn't have a quiet outdoor area. I wasn't aware of the outside noise inside the facility, but I just preferred a quieter location.

II really liked the executive director and the staff I met. I liked the activities and how active and involved the residents were. Disappointed in the age of the building and the location and parking. I called the front desk and was quickly let into their parking structure, but there is very little street parking and their structure is not very big. The garden courtyard is nice, but I wish there were more trees and more outdoor space- on busy, loud Reseda Blvd. I will go back and visit again

Mom liked the large rooms and closet space. Some concerns with food, but interested in a 2nd visit with a meal

My guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. She showed a great deal of interest in my mother and made several good suggestions about her care. She was very impressive and kind. Overall the facility seemed well run and residents were happy.

Friendly and cooperative staff. Caregivers make a point to get to know the residents and their family.

A. Nice community. It was clean, nice grounds with flowers and plants. a nice pool and jacuzzi. Overall, a nice homey setting.

My aunt is here and she is happy now and settling in. It is a very clean community and housekeeping will clean her apartment and do the laundry 1x a week.The staff is friendly and helpful. They engage her to join the daily activities. They have a movie room. There is a little center courtyard that is nice. The dining decor is nice and has the cloth tablecloths. The food is good just sometimes it isn't hot enough. The admissions and the director were great to work with. In her studio apartment she has a little fridge and microwave. I would recommend this community.

I love it here at Holiday Villa East. This is an independent living community, and I find it is like a hotel for seniors with meals included. The staff at Holiday Villas do an exceptionally good job, and they are all very nice. The food here is some of the best I've had in these kind of facilities, however, they do not serve food between mealtimes unless requested. I've met a lot of new people here, and I have one friend in particular that I meet with quite often for games of Rummy Cube and Mahjong. I'm very comfortable here, and I couldn't be more pleased.

I talked with [Removed], very helpful and pleasant. Need to schedule an appointment to look at the place. I hope it looks as good as it sounds? I took a tour and the place was clean. Just seemed a bit small, however, the rooms were large and spacious.

Overall, things have been pretty well. My dad and I toured here (before deciding to move him in) and at first glance, the tour did not go well. I think it was mainly because the girl that gave us the tour was a little bit inexperienced. I’ve had a few growing pains with them that we’re still trying to work through. They’re a little slow going to get things done maintenance wise, I have to tell them a couple of times to get things done, but overall the people are nice and the place is nice. The food seems to be pretty decent and the dining area resembles a restaurant, but the food tends to be a little on the soft side. They give you a menu and you have 4 choices for each meal to choose from, except breakfast – for breakfast, you just tell them what you want, even if it isn’t on the menu, and they’ll make it for you. And if you don’t like the options that you’re given, they’re more than willing to make you something else. The staff is easy to communicate with and very, very pleasant. When I take my dad out and bring him back, they always greet him like they’re excited that he’s back. It’s very sweet. They’ve always addressed him by his name and he doesn’t walk past anybody that doesn’t greet him. The medication room, I think, needs a bit of up training. There doesn’t seem to be good communication, things seem to be a bit outdated, and they definitely need to work on that because it feels like anytime something is new or changing, they can’t keep up. Whenever he pushes a button for help, they seem to respond pretty quickly. I timed it once and it took someone 4 minutes to get to him and he lives on the second floor. The cleanliness is great and the grounds itself are immaculate. They clean his room once a week on Thursdays and I’ve never gone into his room and had any complaints. There’s a general pricing for rent for the room and then small extra charges for things that might be needed like helping with medicine. Overall, I’m fairly pleased with it and I would recommend them with the caveat that the medication room really does need some help.

The staff take good care of mom. They are encouraging, attentive and they are open to making changes to keep her happy. They offer a lot of activities including a spelling bee. There are people from a church that come in on Wednesday and Sunday. The food is really good. The community is clean and they have a patio with a fountain. She has a nice room that feels like a small apartment with a full bath and a refrigerator. This community is a good value and I would recommend it.

This is a very nice community with lots of amenities for their residents. The staff did a great job with our tour and they answered all our questions. Unfortunately, they are not licensed for memory care. I would recommend taking a tour here though.

My dad is doing okay and he is enjoying the community very much. It is kept clean and well set up for the residents. I have had some very good meals with my dad and he likes the meals too.

My mom seems to have adjusted well since being relocated here. She was in a nice community prior but it was too far away and this one was a little closer to me so I moved here. So far everything seems to be going well. The staff is friendly and attentive to her. I am assuming she is liking the food she really hasn't said in regards to that. She hasn't mentioned whether or not she is doing any of the activities or social events.
