Holiday Villa East provides good care to my loved one. Staff is friendly, they are very attentive, accommodating, and responsive. Management is wonderful.I viewed several places, and this one is the best place by far. I am satisfied with the services overall.

My mother previously lived at a large, expensive assisted living facility. Garden of Palms is a small community. The staff are nice and helpful. The chef makes delicious soups, which are served at lunch and dinner. The meals are small and are generally better than the meals at the expensive facility. There are a variety of activities My mother did not participate in anything at the other (fancy, expensive) place. Here, she participates more. The smaller environment is better for my mother. There is a lovely courtyard with a fountain, a small library area, and a movie room. The director, Murielle, is very caring and helpful. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is very pleasant and they always have beautiful fresh flowers. The rate is very fair and they do not try to stick you with additional costs, which is very nice.

I put my dad there after much searching and I was so pleased. He was very happy there (he has since passed) but they took very good care of him. I didn't worry. Room was clean, food was good. Staff was wonderful and caring! He emjoyed getting out to go shopping and the activities there. His room was big with a big easy to use bathroom. There wasn't one thing I was unhappy with. I wish I had done it sooner. He was happier there than he was alone most of the time in his little apartment. I came a rather long distance too and they were all so wonderful in helping him get settled.

Villa de Anza seems like a very nice place. I leased an apartment for my father who has not yet moved in. Staff was very helpful, pleasant and accommodating when I went to visit and signed the lease. My one complaint is that I was shown a model apartment and told that was the apartment I would be leasing. I did not record the apartment number. I signed the lease for apartment 237 and when I returned with the furniture, discovered that 237 was not the apartment I had been shown. It was not as nice and was also not ready for move-in as it had not been cleaned. The receptionist, Linda, contacted the salesperson, Stacie, and the manager, Christina, and we were able to switch to the apartment I had originally seen.

I was only there such a short time. I didn't really use a lot of their services because I was only there a couple of weeks. The only thing that bothered most of us is there were a lot of flies in the dining area. I don't think there was anything the could do about it, there were just a lot in the area. The food was quite good. I had the flu part of the time I was there so I was not very active.

The people that were there, the residents, they all seemed to be pretty happy. You didn't see a lot of mopey people sitting around and my father had just lost his significant other of 25 years so we were pretty worried about that happening with him. We didn't want him to be in an environment where people were sad. The workers, they always seemed to be really up. I visited it several times and the food was good. We tried out the food. It was pretty clean - one of the cleanest ones I'd ever seen. Stacie, their salesperson I guess, was just a gem.

We looked at a lot of properties and I think what my parents are getting for the cost is good here. The care services are okay. I know in the beginning they struggled a little bit. My mom had some kind of drops for her eyes and she wasn't getting them. I think they've resolved them all. They had my mom participate in the miss emeritus pageant and she came in second. That was nice. There were some mix ups taking them to church but that wasn't really their fault - the bus had issues. My parents were reluctant to move but they like it here. There is a nice lake with a fountain and ducks and a nice patio out back. It's not congested, it's easy to get to, parking is adequate and it's little things like that, that to me make a big difference.

The people are very helpful; The staff is very kind and friendly with the clients. The facility is clean and well cared for. The food is good.

We love [name removed] at the front desk, [name removed] and [name removed] are nurses they are great!! We would recommend Savant of Santa Monica to other families who may need a place for their loved ones

My father passed away on [date removed]while he was at Pacifica Senior Living. I was lucky to be with him at the very end. I appreciate all the guidance, education and compassion A Place for Mom provided me during this challenging time in my life. Everyone at Pacifica Senior Living was so kind to my father and incredibly helpful to me as I navigated this unfamiliar path of helping my father in his last days. I felt we were treated with respect and compassion across all the coverage shifts. When I left my father at the end of each day, I knew the staff was going to do their best to keep him safe and taken care of. It gave me peace-of-mind knowing someone else was invested in the my father's care as much me.

The people staff at Pacifica are very friendly and helpful. However, there are simply not enough of them. Also, the business office seems very disorganized - especially regarding billing and electronic communications. Overall, Pacifica has been helpful but my father often has to wait a long time for assistance.

There was a huge gap in communication which left my brother with zero care for a week. The care that he received from hospice was very satisfactory, even though he was not the most pleasant and did not want company, but I think his family needed to know more about his care than we were told. There were things we could have been doing for him that we were not aware of. I ended up trimming his toenails giving him lifting him off of his bed and onto his wheelchair and onto the toilet and back again which I'm 75 years old and that was very very difficult for me so I don't know whose fault that was it could've been his fault because he did not want anybody a stranger to touch him.

the facility has wonderful caretakers who get to know each residents. The activities director really tries to bring the residents together. The ladies at the front are always very helpful and professional.

It's absolutely perfect for my dad and he is super happy there. Not perfect for everyone. It's a bit run down but he doesn't care: our family is not into fancy stuff. We love the fact that there are so many Chinese people and who speak different dialects and have varied backgrounds. Staff are wonderful. Location is perfect with great restaurants and resources nearby.

We had a great tour experience with Villa De Anza, this facility came in to a close second place for us. The facility itself was very clean and nice, but it was more expensive. As far as long term care goes, it did seem like they were better equipped for additional care if my loved one were to go downhill.

I would recommended it, to family/friends.

Comfortable and pleasant the Holiday Villa East has a spacious dining room service three meals a day-nothing fancy, but tasty and nutritious with yummy desserts. The upper floor living quarters have balconies, central air, ceiling light and fan, and private bathrooms with attractive, generous cabinetry. Beds are made every morning and wastebaskets are emptied daily. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Coin-operated washers and dryers are available on property and staff members are available to do laundry for a small fee. Medication dispersion is available for an additional fee.

Compared to the big, corporate assisted living facilities, Garden of Palms is much better. We've experienced both, and Garden Palms provides more attentive and focused care. Definitely the environment is smaller, so they have time to pay more attention to each resident. And they just seem to be more effective. The building is not super fancy, but when you walk in, they've done a really nice job of making the lobby very welcoming. It's very neat, clean, and organized. Nothing opulent, but still lovely and satisfactory.
