Super clean, super professional, grounds are green, maintained well. very nice floor plans of total layout of the property.

Friendly, professional, knowledgeable staff; Stacie was a delight; She shared a lot of time with me answering questions. Facility clean, spacious, open; a good variety of activities to choose from; Facility close to community shopping. Could benefit from shade trees, to cool the walks around the building down; but today was extremely hot in Riverside!

Holiday Villa East is pretty diverse in term of ages. There are people from 65 and up. Some of the residents here are very active and that is what we were looking for. Our loved one is very active and we wanted a place where he would be able to makes friends and stay active. The staff here is extremely friendly and extremely accommodating. We are very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone.

(Activities Not Rated) The condition of community really made it one of the top communities on our list. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. They really tried to help whenever they could. It was a good community.

It was recommended by A Place for Mom and when we went to visit the community we just liked it. The community was very nice and it just seemed like it was the right fit for our situation. We are pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone.

I picked Garden of Palms becuase everyone has worked there for a really long time. There is no one inexperienced there. The person that has worked there the least amount of time has been there for 5 years - that's the chef. They know what they're doing and really care. I don't know a lot about the activities because my mom doesn't really participate, but it seems like they have a lot to offer.

We chose Emeritus because the community and staff really impressed us. When people ask me about it I tell them that it can be compared to a “Las Vegas hotel” The staff is really friendly and try to help as best as they can. I looked at about 3 other communities at asked about several others and Emeritus was the best price compared to the other. We really like this place and it’s really nice. “I’m sold!” If I could afford to put my husband and me in this community I would move in too.

2/13: Yahoo ... I believe this is it. Put $500 down to hold a room (refundable). About 15-20 minute drive. The facility and management team were nice, and the cost right in our budget. In a nice neighborhood. Mom will not be able to smoke in the room or on the patio/balcony; they have smoking available in the courtyard. There is a pond with ducks and fish; they have live fishing in the summer with a fish [removed] The studio is small but suitable; and we can upgrade to the deluxe if she wants a larger room. She can bring pics/figurines to put on walls. Personal and linen are laundered once a week; individual rooms and not with other residents so don't have to worry about clothes getting mixed up; or she can use free non-coin op machines to wash her own. Room is located on 2nd floor, next to exit; around the corner from the elevator ... hall is shorter (less walking) and close to office/diner/activities when she gets off the elevator. Rental increases are 3%-6%; did not see one in January (adjust budget for increase in 2014).

Loved this place right up Glenoaks. Very pleasant and comfortable. Nice dining room pretty lobby. Rooms were very nice size. A single $1800.00 double $2300.00. Brochure is $1900.00 but a double for $1800.00. To divide room long dresser with mirror divided room.

Pacifica South Coast is expansive, exhibiting a relaxed area for visitors and residents. When I visited, it was a really quaint and tranquil nursing facility that I would want my family to stay at.

We have been here for a few months and couldn't be happier. The amenities are wonderful especially the pool area. The staff is fantastic and helpful, and the building is secure. We are close to everything we care about - shopping and dining! Nothing bad to say!

AMAZING STAFF AND RESIDENTS HERE! WE WERE REFERRED BY KAISER WHICH DOWN THE STREET. CALLED IN TO BOOK A TOUR AND THEY WERE ABLE TO BOOK US IN FOR TOUR EVEN IF IT WAS A LAST MIN BOOK. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL AND PROVIDED RATES AND DETAILS REGARDING CARE SERVICES. THE PLACE IS VERY WELCOMING AND FRIENDLY PLACE. THE LOBBY IS BEAUTIFUL AND SO AS THEIR OTHER COMMON ROOMS. THEY ALSO HAVE A GAME ROOM AND FITNESS ROOM TOO. MY SISTER AND I HAVE A GOOD FEELING ABOUT THIS PLACE AND LEFT A DEPOSIT!

less than 3 weeks ago, we were referred by Kaiser. My dad, brother and I went in for a tour and so far the place is great! Very clean and no odor. Common areas are beautiful and there is a game room with a pool table and mini bowling ally for the residents. I wanted to add in that this place is down from Kaiser, across from Downey Landing and the Promenade. During the tour, I asked one of the resident nearby about her experience. She told us that she enjoyed the activities and the care services is wonderful. In the end, we decided that this is the place we are comfortable with and feel safe to know dad is going to be taken care of. We moved our dad in and so far, he is happy camper. He made new friends and is more active and social than before.

My Mom & I recently toured this lovely establishment. [name removed], the current manager, was very courteous & friendly. It is an independant living community, which provides entertainment, physical activities & short trips to their residents. The building has been recently renovated, giving it a lively & youngish feel to it. We were treated to both a delicious breakfast & lunch. The rooms were airy & bright. The visit was very enjoyable & when mom decides, I'm sure she will pick Holiday Villa East.

When I toured this place the staff was nice and answered all my questions. It looked clean and kept up. The parking sucked here. I did get a warm feeling there. I observed a caregiver singing to the resident which was nice. The price just wasn't right for us and we had to go elsewhere.

Perhaps a little understaffed, as respond times when requested can be a little long for an elderly person. Price was amazing, so if more staff was hired, price would certainly go up. Mom is very happy there and so are we.

When I toured I liked all of the people there and the price was right. My mother seems to be doing okay, it was definitely a difficult transition for her, going from independent living to assisted living. The place is clean and the staff are very friendly, we have no complaints so far.
