I love living here and all the people are great to be with. The employees are the most.

Those of us who live in the Prairie Rose retirement home spend a good part of everyday eating -- about six hours a day. Trip to the dining room, finding a table, getting something to drink, checking the menu, ordering, eating and then trip back to the apartment. It is apparent whoever designed the serving process knew a lot about food preparation and delivery. I am impressed with how the serving process works. Starting times are essential, everything else feeds from that. Meals are served in courses (like the French). First comes drinks, then appetizers, next is the main meal followed by dessert. They have two menus, one changes every day, the other is “always available.” I occasionally order from the changing menu but prefer the always menu for a couple of reasons. One, I have tried everything on the always menu and all are good. Second, after many years in the military, I understand that anything cooked specifically for me instead of for a group is going to be fresher, if not better. Regardless, whichever menu you choose from I think you will be satisfied. They also have a procedure where on even calendar days they start taking orders at one end of the room, odd days at the other end. Food is very good, if you leave hungry, it is your fault. My “Patience of Job” title is in reference to our management, kitchen and young wait staff. I am a people watcher and have yet to see the wait staff get frustrated or annoyed. Management constantly moving through the dining area keeping everything cool. Is everything perfect – no! Do meals get mixed up – yes! However, if something is wrong with your meal, they will quickly fix it or replace it. I am impressed!

Social Butterfly or Loner a Retirement Home can work for you I am a little bit of a loner, give me a computer with internet access, an e-reader, a quiet spot and I am happy. My wife on the other hand is a real social butterfly, she loves to mingle, play bingo and just do some old fashion socializing. I had some concern that there would be enough activity to keep her happy in a retirement home. That fear vanished quickly. If you like a lot of activity or just be by yourself, Prairie Rose has it – your choice. Bingo (3 times each week) Play cards Play Dominoes Vendors sit up in the lobby several times a month Musical performances weekly. Everything from solo musicians to country/western groups Church services and choirs Trips to stores, events and restaurants That is just scratching the surface. If activity is one of your concerns, at least in this retirement home it shouldn’t be.

Mom has been there and ALL the memory care folks do an outstanding job. [Name removed], the hairstylist, has been great, too!

As people explore retirement living [name removed] educates you on the full community experience. She's outgoing and will introduce you to other residents who know best what life is like at her community. She also introduces you to health and wellness professionals and invites you to experience first hand the recreational and dining services.

Adante Assisted Living provides a friendly, nurturing environment and the location can’t be beat! The administrative staff are always available and provide help in any given situation and the assistance staff are friendly, caring and efficient!

Activities are the best. Something for everyone!

Moved my mother here recently after 2 years at another A/L place - the contrast is remarkable! Big and bright, staff and care partners seem skilled and kind. Beautiful access to the outdoors (large, well-kept courtyard for sunshine and flowers), which is huge for her. Meals are not always their strong suit; but she stays busy all day with bingo and other activities. I sleep better, believing she's now in a dedicated, safe environment.

I think my father will enjoy their patio area, as well as the pleasant atmosphere inthe entire building. I have a few more questions for [name removed], but I think he will enjoy this setting most at this point.

My mother lives at Heritage Oaks and she is treated with respect and love by the caregivers. I am so pleased that we found such a good place for my Mom.

If you are searching for a place for your loved one(s) that is safe and friendly, please consider this community. When we were researching a place for my mother-in-law, we took a tour and had lunch with the residents. It was the best thing we could have done. The residents and staff were so welcoming and accommodating. She immediately felt a connection with the people she met and the food was delicious! It has been a couple of months since she moved in and she is the happiest I’ve seen her in a long time. She’s always telling us how glad she is that we found this community and how her life is now full and joyful. I hope you find what you are looking for and hope you consider Heritage Oaks. It’s the best decision we made.

When choosing a community for a loved one, the most important question to be asking is about leadership. Adante Assisted Living and Memory Care has outstanding leadership in its Executive Director, [name removed] , and the Directors of our Resident Services, [name removed] and of our Memory Care, [name removed]. The other directors also show fantastic commitment to their divisions. I have been able to dine in the formal dining room several times, and the food is wonderful. The associates who work with the residents are thoughtful, kind and attentive.
