So far, The Barrington at Hioaks has been a good place for my dad. The staff has been great for him and our family is grateful that he is safe and cared for.

The only thing that didn't right is that I was waived the first month. Free rent plus memory care. My Mom didn't get to moved in until [date removed] because they didn't get Doctor paperwork done correctly. Still had to pay her memory care for almost half of January. Didn't get any credit for February. Was told since I signed the lease agreement at the end if December that basically her free rent started [date removed]. Everything else seems pretty good so far. Need more time to evaluate. Thank you.

[name removed], the doctor that cares for the residents is outstanding, she has great communication and is genuine in her care. The weekly cleaning of the residents rooms is unfortunately lacking in effort. I wish more time was spent on the floors and bathrooms. Overall, our mom feels safe and likes the space she has in independent living. The staff is kind to residents and families. Our family does appreciate the effort made at Woodland Hills to create a sense of home and home community.

Facility is clean, spacious, friendly staff.

Their food program is excellent. Issues we're having are around lack of staff (lots of turnover) and issues with their buildings (elevators continue periods of being out of service for repairs). They are excellent at managing prescriptions and seem to care about their quality of service.

Staff stability has been outstanding. This is extremely helpful for our mom and for us in terms of continuity. Mom likes the food and [name removed] does a really thoughtful job with activities.

My loved one is currently a resident at Heatherwood Community and most everything has been very good for her so far. The care services have been very good, the nurses have responded to my loved one's needs/requests. The value for cost has been good. My loved one has not participated in the activities unfortunately, so I am not sure about those. Overall, Heatherwood Community is a good residence with responsive staff- especially in the dining room.

I am very pleased with the Hidenwood. The caregivers are loving, gentle, and discrete.

I picked this community because of the staff and the comfort they give my parents. Everyone treats my parents with respect and love.

I would say overall we are very satisfied with our choice of Heatherwood. We choose it because of its location, so close to family, the lower cost to other communities we reviewed, and that it checked off many of our desired requirements.

The staff (aides, dining room, and receptionist) are extremely kind and patient with my mother. The administrative staff is very slow to respond to emails, so questions sometimes go unanswered, or require multiple interactions. My mother is enjoying the food and the portions are large. My mother has gotten involved with Bible study, goes to exercise and craft classes. She looks forward to getting out and being with others.

The nursing team has some wonderful people that help us. I sometimes have problems getting my medications re-ordered. Overall, I like it here.

My mother was a resident at The Barrington at Hioaks and overall things were good at this facility. The staff was friendly and caring. The food wasn't good. My mother suddenly required oxygen, but the doctor on staff did not order any tests to determine why. She was taken to the hospital a week later and passed.

Very nice went to visit for my mom lots of different options for residents

We picked this community because, it had the best design set-up in the apartment. They are very good. They could improve on their communication, between shifts. They are really nice on the evening shift. They have muscians, speakers, Bingo, and other activities availabe for the residents. I would highly recommend to other families.

I would recommend you consider this community for your loved one. They have a nice layout of the community. In addition the apartments have nice amenities. The community is close to shopping and restaurants for the residents to take advantage of. The service in the dining room could use improvement. There are times the residents are waiting more than an hour for their meals. There are three meals a day served and there are choices for the residents to choose from on a menu.

A comprehensive tour. My concern is the mixing of independent residents with assisted living residents - it seems to age the independents more rapidly.

Very nice new facility and informative tour - answered all our questions. Smaller rooms are the only concern for our family members needs.
