There is no doctor on staff. Some of the staff members are right on top of things. There are always some type of activity going on for the residents to participate in, if they choose to. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. During the initial tour I had a good feeling about the community. The staff are responsive to questions or concerns that the family has about our loved one.

The Westmont at Short Pump was a very nice, brand new facility that looked like a resort. I think this would be a great fit for someone who is more active because they had a lot going on. I just felt my loved one needed more care.

Offer a real peace of mind
We moved my loved one from another facility and they worked with us and were able to get the move done very quickly. For what they do and what we pay for, I think that they do an excellent job. She is in the memory care unit and it is a very attractive area. It is small enough to where she does not have to go far to get to her meals and things like that. They have activities going on at least twice a day and they really try to keep the residents engaged and maintain their memory. They have provided all of the services that were promised to us very well and we have been pleased. I would recommend Bay Lake Community to others looking.

Nice Facility in Short Pump
Westmont is a brand new facility in short pump that just opened in april 2021. I was looking to find pricing and more pictures on the website, but it was honestly lacking. Thankfully I connected with someone on the phone and they were able to give me more of the information I was looking for. When it's time for my parents to make a move I think I'll bring them to tour westmont.

Our tour experience
Our family had an in person tour and they had a tremendous amount of amenities and the facility itself was very nice. They were a little unprepared when we came because the person who scheduled our tour had left, however they were still very nice and helpful but we just did not see a lot of interaction with the residents.

The people are very friendly and kind. They're helpful and go out of their way to make sure you have everything that you need. The facility is very nice, and her apartment is very nice. We're still getting a feel for everything, but the food is good, and it looks like they have a lot of activities.
