On Vacation Every Day Mom and Dad have been at Robinwood for about four months and they love it. Mom says she feels like she is on vacation every day. They started looking for a place after they decided their home was getting too much to manage. Mom wanted a place that had prepared meals and Dad was looking for a place that was comfortable, friendly and convenient to family. When they visited Robinwood they knew right away it was for them. They had already put a deposit down at another Senior Housing establishment but there was limited parking and they just didn’t feel right moving there. Robinwood offered valet parking and garages in addition to abundant parking for guests. The staff was very welcoming and after four months they still are. It was not just a sales pitch, it was genuine hospitality. They have made new friends and are really enjoying their new life style there.

The facility is beautiful. The staff is very attentive. The food is outstanding, the activities are varied. Each apartment has a washer and dryer hookup, refrigerator and stove in the kitchen. Onsite exercise room Beauty Shop, game room and Library. Opportunity for church services on Sunday. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available daily. Overall a great place to live.

I have had a very positive experience with them. To be a retirement place, and not assisted living, the memory issues are not an issue, with the home health aides coming in. They facilitate a lot of the assistance for us. They are very open and accommodating. They have been awesome about calling us. We have never been scolded or told this is the last time we are going to do this, for anything. They are really good about communication with us. For the transition, we just could not feel any better about how things have been handled. They do not overstep any family boundry. They have light dining and a formal dining area. Theatres, and a workout gym, an interior pond, the room is like a little apartment. The whole center is open and there is a huge waterfall. You can reserve an area and they can curtain it off and have a private family dinner, for a little extra. The food is wonderful! They have church night and movie night with popcorn.

It is a pretty good value, but I don't get any care services. They do housekeeping and three meals a day. There's all kinds of activities but I don't do very many of them because I'm taking it easy. They could improve on meals according to me, but I am sort of a cranky eater. It's a lot better because it's a lot closer to my family, and the people are very friendly.

This place was very very nice. It was a beautiful community, and everyone was very friendly during the tour. I would have loved to be able to have Mom here, but it was just too big for her to be able to navigate easily, as she is physically frail and unwilling to use some form of scooter.

On site managers were very friendly. Nice sized apartment, but didn't have one on the first floor at the time. just off a busy business district. Valet parking. Met a ladly when getting the car light fixed and she has been there over 2 years and is very positive as were a couple eresidents we met on tour.

It is exceptional. I love that the residents have the choice to cook or not, to do their own laundry or not, options. I love the valet service, because Mom gets winded quickly, and would have difficulty parking a distance away.

My parents are very happy here. The quality of the food is very good. The friendliness of the staff is great. They cater to the residents all the way from the director to the bus driver to the chef. They really listen to the residents and try their best to provide what they desire. I would highly recommend Robinwood to anyone.

They're fantastic! One thing that they did that was really good was they furnihsed the apartment that my dad moved into until we were able to go and shop and purchase things that he wanted. They were able to put a couch and a bed and dresser that was nice so that was great. He loves it and is doing great. He does love the food. There is a little ice cream facility down there that he thinks is awesome. The whole experience has been awesome.

Met with Esther Tuggle. Beautiful facility, like being in a resort community; price reflects that somewhat. Apartments were new, spacious, granite counter tops, nice kitchen area with full size appliances and built-ins, room for dining table. Amenities included hot tub and movie theatre. Garage space was available, good location. No assisted living, may build that in the future. All rooms had washer-dryer hookups.

We really liked this place. It was somewhere that we could picture ourselves living someday. It had a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The apartments were beautiful.

Absolutely loved it!!

This facility is almost a year old and beautiful. I loved everything about it, from the 1st floor cruise-like feel with shops on each side including a bank, salon, fitness center, etc to the dining room with buffet or sit-down dining. The rooms were very nice although they put too much of the space in the kitchens which encroached on the living area. The bathrooms were great with a large seat and detachable spray showerhead. Closet space was good and there is space for your own washer & dryer. In our case, my aunt sold her W&D, but there is a great laundry room on 2nd & 3rd floors. The movie theatre was to die for. I would hesitate to move in there myself and it did look like a younger group of individuals were there as well as much older. What can I say, it was awesome, but the price wasn't. The smallest 1 bedroom was approx $2900 while a little big larger 1 bedroom was around $3200. They require the equivalent of 1 month's rent down along with your 1st month although he did say they would work with you on that. That's a hefty amount. There is shopping across the street and Grimes seems to be a slow traffic road during thet day. Really a beautiful facility. Just wish the price was a little cheaper.

We have experienced a lot of friendliness from the staff. They're very good about cleanliness. There are plenty of activities. Overall things have been good. They've had some problems keeping kitchen and dining staff, so the food service has been inconsistent. I think the food is good overall though, and they offer lots of options if you don't like what they're serving. They've also gone through multiple changes in managers in different departments within a year or so, which has been challenging for my loved one to navigate. But living there is like living on a cruise ship, and he is very happy there. The apartments are beautiful - probably the most beautiful we've seen - brand new, and very livable. I wouldn't mind living there myself!

It's been a very positive experience. The food here is great, but the menu needs to be tweaked. For example: they had a Spanish meal the other day that had broccoli, but you typically don't see broccoli with traditional Spanish meals. They have an older clientele and they need to be concerned about their health, salt intake, and how they're eating overall. Emerald oaks shouldn't be responsible for that, but the resident themselves should take more of an initiative. Some of their activities include different card games like hearts & bridge, as well as bingo. My apartment is one of the smaller apartments, but we do have a front room, a kitchen, and a bedroom. If and when we have visitors, they have common areas where we can sit and talk, like the library. They have couches and chairs that are out of the way from everyone else. The community allows pets; they also offer transportation to appointments and their weekly store runs with a 24hr notice, as the bus only holds 14. I would certainly recommend Emerald Oaks to others, it's one of the best.
