The tour confirmed my impressions gained from their website and brochures, that this is a first class facility on a par with world-class cruise ships. Every detail has been well-thought out, from the Main Street public areas to the closets in each apartment. The menu indicated a great variety of meal options. The residents seemed really comfortable and happy with their surroundings, activities and conversations. Our guide knew every resident's name and was pleasant and knowledgeable at all times. The amenities are vast in number and again top notch in quality. I have traveled extensively and would feel very much at home in this environment. The cost is even quite reasonable for all that it offers to each resident. Definitely worth the 5 star rating.

This is one of the best places to be for your final years, so long as you can live semi-independently. Great facilities, wonderful room options very good dining facilities and meals, lots of activities, etc. etc. We looked at a lot of places in Raleigh, and this one is the best in our opinion.

Wonderful place, for both residents and visitors. Everything you could need all in one. Location - store, bank, beauty parlor, movie theater, workout room, game room, and much more. They treat my sister like a princess.

The best so far. Very clean and new, (1 year old). Good mix of standard and extra services available.Nice rooms, most with balconies. Also, a little less $.

My husband and I have lived here for over a year and are very pleased with it. The staff is very friendly and helpful, lots of our friends have visited and always enjoy the food and fellowship. We also like the entertainment and things that are offered.

I love it here - the food is great, I especially enjoy Joel in the kitchen. So friendly and very helpful. We seen to loose employees frequently, causing a shortage of service in the kitchen. Perhaps the pay is not the most adequate or is the head of the kitchen ti hard to work with? I don't know the managers are on top of everything.

Love my apt - would like employees longer. They quit too soon - is it wages?

Excellent in all areas! Well cleaned each week. Food is always good with several choices. Activities planned each day - sometimes in house or visit to local interesting places in SA and local nearby towns. Employees are friendly and helpful for any need.

My 95 yr old father has resided at Capital Oaks since May, 2016. We have been very pleased with facility. We have years of experience with assisted living for my husband's mother. My father moved to Capital oaks from another facility. This is the best place we have seen. Food is excellent, healthy and available by served buffet or free snack bar. If you want desire a different meal, whatever you want, kitchen will prepare for you. If resident unable to go to dining hall, then meal will be delivered to room. Housekeepers use hospital grade equipment & cleansers for each room & do not use "rags" from one room to the next. Staff & residents very friendly. If a resident needs add'l care, then this is available thru Right at Home an inhouse nursing service. Add'l hourly fee that can be broken into 15 mins increments. Ideal if you have parent who may have cold & you want nurse to check on resident's well being. This is a lot less than assisted living prices. Yes, there are staff changes but we have always been pleased with standards in all areas.

Oak Park is phenomenal!. I’m speaking as one who has a loved one in the facility, and I have researched until I was blue in the face to find somewhere that was a mix of the things she needed, and what she could afford. Katy area senior living is very very expensive. Hands down, this place has the most bang for the buck in the Katy area, and if you are considering a home for yourself or for a senior in your life, PLEASE go see for yourself how nice it is. Although they do not provide nursing assistance, the residents are able to bring in their own helpers, or can use the company that the apartments work with. A lot of the residents use helpers to provide safety with bathing, ext. First off, the staff is also exceptional, all of them. They are all extremely caring, talkative, and accommodating to all the residents and their guests alike. I’m there a lot, as my mom is in a wheelchair, and I take care of all her needs. She has lived there 8 months now, and I have never had a interaction than was anything less than top notch. Second, it’s all bills paid, and all meals are included, and prepared by an actual chef! They are REALLY good, and they encourage other family members to come eat with the residents (it’s only $8, less than the cost of a fast food lunch!) There is also weekly housekeeping and bed linen changes, transportation to doctor appointments twice a week, and ACTIVITIES every day. The activity director is full of energy, and she works her tail off to keep things interesting. My mother has made so many new friends, and again, the residents that live there embrace newcomers with open arms. Everyone is genuinely friendly, not “fake friendly”, as I have seen at other places. The bottom line is this, once you have most of your daily needs taken care of, and you are in a stimulating environment with people that you come to call family, life is happy! There is so much more that I am not mentioning, you really have to see for yourself, take a tour, and find out the abundance of “extras” for yourself.

Great place. This is a sister location to Walnut Grove. Based on location, we prefer Walnut Grove. Will continue looking at other places as time permits. Two year goal right now. Thank you
