Resident and family are very tired of going through hoops and hollars to get the nurse to do her job. Every concern I bring up with the Executive Director she seems genuine but she sweeps it under the rug and forgotten about. Her demeanor makes me question if she just took some pills before she came into work. The staff are not highly skilled and have been trained by staff that are new to this job as well. I am utterly at a loss. The snacks that are given 24/7 are only available wfrom 9 to 5. As an Assisted Living Facility, my mother should not be watching a few people that have memory issues with dementia sk advanced that staff chooses not to deal with them.

They have had inoperative air conditioning for over a year. Residents refer to themselves as inmates. Residents can get out at anytime of the day or night but don't have a key to get in at night. Residents try to garden but mgmt locks the hoses. Residents have had all activities cancelled because the air conditioning in their van is broken. Caution caution. - don't move here

My loved one used to live in the Regency, and we did not have a good experience there. It always seemed to me that they were short staffed there and there wasn't enough caretakers for all the residents. The final straw was when my loved one fell and was left alone for the entire evening until the day staff came in the next morning. Of course after that, I did not feel secure having my loved one there.

Again, this focuses on assisted living.

Good Samaritan is the worst nursing home in the valley. They don't care about their clients at all. Everyone in there is inept, and unable to care for anyone but themselves. My grandfather has been in their "care" for about 6 months and his health has done nothing but decline. They stopped doing physical therapy because it's too "risky" with Covid. Now he can't even stand up on his own, or hardly feed himself thanks to their garbage help. If you want your loved one to go in to a nursing home to watch them deteriorate while you're powerless to do anything about it, or watch them put your loved one in their bed like a rag doll, then Good Samaritan is the perfect fit for you and you're loved one.

Horrible place. I had a horrible experience with this place in which my grandmother was a resident. She died here as well and I have had nothing but a nightmarish experience dealing with these people.

Please keep your loved ones as far from this place as possible. Truly one of the worst facilities in Corvallis. From feces covered mattresses to abusive staff, investigated by the State. You are promised the moon and given the bare minimum. The caregivers are in competition for popularity with Admin. The RCC has also been reprimanded for bad behavior in the past. The administrator is fake and is only interested in the asthmatics, not the care of her residents and the facility. Please look elsewhere before coming to this facility.

Facility is very out-dated & run-down. Facility has a large amount of rooms; however, the decor and walls are showing extreme signs of age. The staff is rarely found in the building. Activities are unorganized, as well as the structure of the facility provided by the management team. Great place if you want to rarely visit your family member. I would suggest going somewhere with more genuine care & a modern take on senior living. After one tour, I knew Golden Sands has work to be done.

My Grandmother lived here for 2 months and was absolutely miserable the entire time. They charged her so much money for the amount of time she was there and charged her for everything. They even charged her for her meals, or to bring them to her, when they originally told us it was included in the price. The way the facility was run was more like a nursing home rather than assisted living. The man in the apartment next to my Grandma would scream at all hours of the night. A lot of the people that lived there weren’t ambulatory or able to hold a conversation. She said she felt like she had just got out of the institution when she left. I went there once to see her for dinner and the staff was very rude and very pushy to the other residents. My Grandmother is very alert for her age and does everything on her own and she was just miserable. When we first went on the tour, it didn’t look like a nursing home and no one acted like it either. It all looked so nice. While she was there, it was the complete opposite from what they had shown us.

My Mom lives in this Facility and has grown to love living there, due the connections she has made with the residents. They do have a lot of activities going on, that is because they have an amazing activities director that puts a lot of work into what she does, & truly cares for the people. Some of the employees that have went above and beyond to make it a home for my Mom, now have been fired, they have a big turn over in staff in this facility (not sure why). The past administrators always knew you, greeted you EVERYTIME we came in, I've been introduced to the new and she doesn't know me! They are always nice and friendly when someone new is moving into a new room that needs to be filled! If that place isn't full, they loose their jobs! it's not about the residents. It's very sad, it is a beautiful new remodeled place too. If your family member has any kind of memory problems, investigate deeper on how they are being cared for. They advertise for this care service but they don't provide it once they are in the facility.

The assisted living facility is beyond wonderful and the staff is even better. They always took the best care of my grandma. There was nothing negative to say until she was moved to the memory care unit. Horrible care from the beginning. [removed]. They don't brush her hair or even bother putting a bra on her. When asked to make sure she's ready to be picked up at a specific time for an appointment, not once has she been ready. I question what services we are paying [removed] a month for.
