Staff seemed professional, but not overly friendly. Wasn't overly impressed with the director. They don't do respite care.

Reminded me of a remodeled high-end hotel. They could provide whatever you like, for a fee. Smaller community - max of 66 residents. In nice neighborhood. Close to shopping, entertainment and hospitals. No kitchenettes, only medium sized refrigerator in room.

Nice place. Not sure if my dad will like the studio size of the apartments

Legacy Ridge at Peachtree was okay, except there was not enough diversity. I was shocked by the conversations we were trying to have with the director, who didn’t have any information on diversity/inclusion of black/brown people in the facility when we asked about it. They just need to be more educated, especially somebody at the director level.

The staff is nice but are overworked, they aren't able to keep up with everything but they are doing best they can to attend to the residents, however the aids were very good to our loved one. The food served at this community was fine. The layout was okay, and the rooms were about adequate in size.

My Mother was a resident here for 22 days. It is a very nice facility but terribly understaffed and not always as clean as it should be. Residents roam in and out of the rooms . Several items belonging to my Mother disappeared and were never returned.

It was a very rushed procedure as the rehab facility cut him loose faster than we thought and wanted him to have 24 hr care. But Forest heights assisted living doesn't provide that. At the last minute they told me I'd have to hire someone or stay with him. I had already paid [amount removed] for entry fee plus one month. There was no way I could hire someone with a few hours notice. So I had to bring him home instead. They would only refund half the monthly fee. And it was 2 weeks before they would do that. No one bothered to call back or see how they could help. It's a lovely facility but just not for him at this time.

The facility is newly renovated and nice. They will need to have an active presence to hold people accountable for services they are paying for..

My best friend is in the Oaks and has been there for 4 days when I got there her bag had not been unpacked. She came from the hospital. Which meant none of her personal hygiene stuff had been used. There were no signs of a tooth brush, toothpaste, hair brush, lotion, lip moisturizer, cell phone! Nothing had been used! No signs of her being turned. The lady in her room said no one had come in to turn her! She can’t roll over, feed herself or walk! The place smelled terrible of urine!!! And the floors were filthy!!! If we could afford to go somewhere else we would. I work and wasn’t able to accompany her on her move from the hospital. The staff seemed overwhelmed.

I am very disappointed in Pruitt Place. They changed directors three times in three months therefore the staff has no leadership. If a resident is not self sufficient, it is very dangerous for them to live at Pruitt. There is little to no assistance. Most of the CNAs remaining are really good people that are extremely over worked.

My loved one was previously a resident at Legacy Ridge at Sandy Plains and our experience at this facility was not very good. The cleanliness, care services, activities and value for cost were poor. The friendliness was okay. The food was good. My main concern was the staff, they had A LOT of turnover with the staff. I would not recommend Legacy Ridge at Sandy Plains to others.

We picked this community because, one being the fact that the L/C fee was independent of the Med fee. My loved one is not on any medication so therefore she's not paying for medication to be administered and that lowers the cost. The second reason is that the community is very close to where I live. I have visited to check on things almost every day. That's how I know how poorly things are being handled there.

Our family had an in person tour with Legacy Ridge at Sandy Plains and the community smelled of pee and we knew it was not going to be the place for our loved one.

I would say not to go there for others. The administrative staff are not open, truthful, they don't keep you up-to-date on what is going on. The administrator has not taken proper COVID precautions for herself. The top two administrators are not friendly at all. The nursing staff is great to work with.

Dark and dreary. Staff not present in all areas. All residents placed in same area regardless of stage and needs.

Have the people that have written previous reviews ever been in this facility or had a loved one living here? The attitude of the administration and staff is one of apathy. No one is accountable for their actions except for the residents and their families. The photos that appear on this website do not tell the true story. Meals in the dining room look nothing like what is advertised or taste as good. This facility's administrator is not receptive to concerns and is not willing to see that this becomes the facility that is advertised. Management at Five Star seems to have no interest in fixing the problems at this facility either. Advise anyone looking at Forest Heights to talk to families that have someone living at this facility.

There are a lot of issues here. The staff doesn't seem to be getting all of the training they need. There is some block in the system somewhere. It is my sense that it's very disorganized. There was a change in ownership recently, and most of the key positions, the executive director and such, are new, and that is a big part of the problem. I feel like if I hadn't been there as often as I am there would have been a lot of things that went unnoticed. When I bring things up they give me the appropriate answer that they think I want to hear, but afterwards I either don't see the change, or whoever has been talked to and had to make a change gives me attitude. They put too much responsibility on me to take care of things, like they will call me when he is agitated to calm him down but they don't want to keep me in the chain of command when it comes to keeping me informed. I shouldn't have to ask them to mop, or why other things haven't been done. Things go missing, I know they aren't responsible for them, but when I bring them up, I just get a blank look. I would say ask a lot of questions before you go here, and just hang out, I know nobody thinks that they have the time for that, but do it anyway. There was a lot of turnover here. I feel that I got persuaded verbally, that the care would be so much more hands on and personal than it turned out to be. They also told me that they would have many stimulating activities, and that didn't really turn out to be the case either. They would have things on the activities calendar that didn't match what they were doing that day, and the same for the food, it wouldn't match what they were actually eating. The food was about average, maybe a three, not terrible, but not great either.

This one is ok, but I wasn't too crazy about the staff. They wanted to take additional info from me, whic made me feel they were unorganized.

I moved my mother from assisted living to Emeritus, which is a memory care facility. They advertise that as their forte adn she got more simulation and interaction in assisted living than she even comes close to at Emeritus and the price was $1700 less a month so we're paying for things that we're not getting. The people are like ones you'd encounter in an asylum. One of them came into my mother's room and spit on her cat. It's distressing for my mother that some of the people cry all the time. Theft has been a problem even though everything she has, has her name on it. Once we moved in, it was not as advertised.

Maybe their Assisted Living side is OK, BUT their Memory Care has been absolutely terrible for my loved one. He comes up with bruises all the time. He exhibits 'typical' late stage dementia/Alzheimer's behavior that they have now told us after just a few months they are "not equipped" to handle. However, we explained my dad's condition before choosing them and of course they said everything would be 'great', they had no problems with his wandering, incontinence, impatience, etc. But, now, they "can't handle" it. He "escaped" from their "Secure" Memory Care Unit right through their front door entrance. Numerous issues, poor management, frequent turnovers in staff, un-trained staff, understaffed, etc. - at least for the "Memory Care" Unit, which maybe should be called the "Forgetful Seniors" unit, because they can't deal with true Dementia/Alzheimer's victims.
