Madison Pointe is a very unprofessional and bad place. The care was terrible. They gave the wrong dosage of insulin to my loved one. They refused him prescribed medications. They didn't attend to him at all. He was only there a week before I got him out of there. When you interview them initially, they answer all of the questions correctly. But when we got into the facility, what we experienced was the exact opposite. They also surprised me with significant charges that I was never informed about beforehand. Overall it was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend it for anyone.

Don't take your loved ones here. They were mean to my loved one, not physically but mentally. They broke her down pretty bad, and she's still not the same. They wouldn't return any phone calls. We had an activated POA, but they let her sign for hospice and for a doctor and never notified us. I personally heard a few things that went on there. My loved one is not a crier, and she cried and sobbed every day begging me to get her out of there. This wasn't her first experience with assisted living either. She had been at another one for a year and had been fine. But she had to leave there due to decreased mobility.

I didn’t have a love one that stayed there but I had a dear friend, that her husband just passed away last Thursday and they wouldn’t let the funeral home in to pick up his body. You don’t want to know what happened next and it continues to happen to her.

People in wheelchairs should not be on the 2nd floor. Especially when only 2 chairs will fit in elevator. And flyer posted to stay in your room in case theirs a fire and staff will get to you. This place changes the rules consistently. The conduct of the staff r not qualified nor professional. The director has some drinking issues besides being on a power trip. i would not send my worse enemy to Sherwood village check out fellowship square night and day difference.

The company who owns the facility is only interested in money. The food quality is low. The staff is paid the bare minimum. Also, training is lacking. Employees are expected to perform tasks outside of their hired position. All staff is part time, so no benefits are given. Residents aren't watched closely, because care staff is spread so thin. No activities to keep residents active. Bare minimum of care. Untrained & under appreciated staff.

This is all so sad for the people living here but all very true. First of all let me start by showing you the frauds here [name removed] is the worst of them all she states here that she has an aunt and and uncle here. This is all lies. She is the executive director of desert springs assisted Living and the boss to all the other executive's in Las Vegas. I had the displeasure of meeting her when pacifica was bought out. She is manipulative and money hungry. The lives of these people you love are in the wrong hands. [Name removed] is the executive director here and has been there about six months now and is following in her bosses footsteps. This is really sad my family members has been here for a while and everything is getting worse by the minute. She doesn't speak to us family members regarding room rates we just get the new invoice in the mail with no heads up or regard. So my bill is going up $800 for crappy service. The food is horrible they just brought in a new person and bless his soul he is trying but it's hard to fix a nasty mess. The maintenance has improved by 90% since [name removed] arrived he is always very attentive and helps my family member without thinking twice. The Wellness director was just changed what a shame the changes she promised were actually happening.Now the person who was her assistant is in charge. This is sad because the person you look to for assistance should seem like they want to help not have an attitude and not want to hear you out good luck with that one. Now the staff, there are a few who you can count on getting your family members up and cleaned in a timely fashion.Now for the rest of them... Check your family for bruises they like to rough handle people. The scream and talk down to them. Refuse to assist them or tell them to wait that they will be back and no one does. I can sit here all day naming things that I have personally seen and witnessed with my own two eyes but I made sure to mention what's most crucial.

My mother in law lived here and I would not reccomend this place to anyone. The food is not up to the standards as they brag about. The rooms are not kept up by the housekeepers. The staff is rude, lazy and is seen more on there cell phones than caring for residents. If you go to management about anything they just blow you off or say they will do something, but it never happens. Don't trust these people, because they don't care!

My father hated it there. He said the staff would stand outside his room and talk about him, that they were very rough when changing his clothes or pushing him in his wheelchair. I walked into his room and it reeked of urine. I saw the lady across the hall laying on the floor waiting for over 10 minutes for someone to come help her up. The woman who runs the place has very good intentions, just doesn't have the caring staff she needs.

Wow what a really nice place. But the staff is not good St all. Even the management. I saw things with the resident. Were not being care for. I will never put my mom or deaf in this place. It need to be shut down! !!! Do sad the way they treat the people your family.

The staff constinantky changes. They do not read patient info on n charts The residents do not stay long either Over the past 9 months my mother has had maybe 3 showers I moved her chair to make her bed & the filth was discusting I turned the facility into the state 3!times 2 weeks ago the state was therevaceeek & they received 5 citations In retaliation......at 545 Yesterday I was told my mother was An elopement risk ( she’s never left the facility or tried)& must be moved to memory care ( which she was deemed too high functioning for previously ) or have 24:7 1;1 care. Neither of which she’s needs or be discharge.please avoid this ppace

I recently helped a friend of mine move out of this place. Initially the head staff lady denied my friend his medications. After threatening a law suit 20 minutes later she agreed to give him his paid for medications. I asked the head staff lady if they had a cart to aid in the moving process and she said "we don't have any carts" then after 90 minutes of moving large items out another staff member provided a cart for the very last item to be moved. She said they were instructed not to provide any assistance in the move out. Also while I was helping my friend move out over 2 hrs an alarm buzzer would go off every 15 minutes that rang out through the entire facility which my friend said happens 24 hrs a day making a restful quiet sleep impossible for all of the residence. The staff just lets the alarm ring for over 10 minutes befor they shut it off. This place looks nice but the staff don't seem to care much about the people they are paid to serve and if you move out they don't lift a hand to make it an easy tranisition out as your no a money maker for them.

My mothers care was neglected by management. Staff was very friendly and helpful but they were understaffed most of the time for the number of needy residents. A few times this past spring my mother had no hot water for showers. There is windows in puzzle area that are rotted so they cant be opened as well as a horribe smell of sewage that occurs in the back wing. Ive seen trails of what looked like feces going down the hallways. One visit i had there was a man sitting with a puddle of pee under him while the girl passed meds ignoring him. My mother akways complained to me how arrogant the management was and that they never went out of their way to ask or address any concerns. The head girl in charge of the office is very rude and unprofessional. My mother and others hear her curse often. I do not reccomend puting a loved one here. There are great staff here but unfortunately the bad ones ruin it for this facility.

This place is HORRIBLE. Dirty, hallways strong urine it for often, bathrooms old dirty, laundry terrible, no one cleans windows. Landscape No gardener. Residents complain to directors, worst each year. I know by experience this is the TRUTH.

The clean facility maybe five star but the care given is substandard lights are on forever before anyone responds. The therapy dept the actual workers do a great job the head of them and the social worker are all talk and chart things untrue to pass things off with medicare etc. they are not for the patient its about money and keep that five star unearned rating.. If your loved one will depend on them find another place....

My Mother and Dad have been at Brookdale for three weeks and we have had different negative problems. My Mother was put to bed in her dirty street clothes and not feed dinner when she is a diabetic, this has happened twice . I entered her room and it smelled horrible because a dirty Depends with diarrhea was just left in the bathroom waste basket by a CNA. I have called numerous times to check up on my Mother with no return phone calls. Once I noticed that my Mother had a UTI and called to report it to the floor nurse and I was told that the last time I told them this she did not have one and two weeks later her occupational nurse called to tell me that she thought my Mother had a UTI - So this took them two weeks to get her medication for it. I have taken my Mother to her Neurologist two weeks ago for her Parkinsons and she still does not have any medication for it yet. I have been there when she is not feeling well and pushed her necklace call button and when no one showed up for 10 minutes I had to go to another floor to find a CNA to help her . One evening when I was asking the front desk for help with concerns - leaving a message for a Nurse a restaurant employee came up and asked for the T.V. remote to turn up the sound for a couple watching a movie and she yelled at him in front of me saying she can wait she is so demanding.

A Bad experience for my poor mom. From the first two weeks. Any complaints all you hear is ok will take care of it. My mom lived there 7 months. I should have seen how she changed not even eating she just died lookilooking like she weighed less then 60 lbs. Hate that place I could still have my mom.

My mom lived there for almost 7 months. When we first went there my mom liked it they showed us a single room which was just a nice fixed up room just for show. My mom shared a room they told us her room mate was a nice person. The dining area was nice and clean said they had a bingo game room things for them to do. Her roommate was not at all nice she would [Removed] and leave her dirty [Removed] underwear in the bathroom. She was in a wheelchair I seen her in her wheelchair trying to get in the restroom. I asked her roommate you need help she was crying saying I pushed my alert button for close to an hour I knew it was true cause I was visiting my mom through that time. They had to transfer my poor mom three times to different rooms. When I complained about how my mom was mistreated by roommate all they said was will take care of it. Her last roommate was big compared to my mom only 4'10 my mom was say I'm scared to be here she makes me turn off my tv or tells me I have to take some of my stuff back home cause there's no room. My mom paid a lot of money to have a room where she had her bed and only about 4 feet her dresser. Her roommate had the rest of the room. My beautiful mom was 92 she was there 7 months. Every time I would look at her I seen her getting thinner and thinner. I visit her her at least 3 times a week to take her food cause she complain how nasty there food was sometimes ok. Sad but my mom died there. They said staff turned there back on her for a second and she feel. Her roomate said she seen it all staff lost there grip and that was how she fell. She had a stroke the next day and passed 4 days later. If you love your parents be sure you know where you place them. For the rest of my life I will regret having her there. Just because a place looks nice doest mean they will be treated right.. It's all about the money.... The best thing to do is ask other seniors you see how they like Whittier Glen. And I was [Removed] because A tenant told me before we signed the paperwork it's awful and the food is nasty. I should of listened. But the director was so sweet telling us how nice And friendly the people were and how delicious the food was. Anybody rating it a five must not visit there loved ones often

I just did not feel comfortable with the whole thing here. The place was old and out dated and there were no private rooms, they had 4 residents per room. This was not the place for my mother.

Look at the details check the actual meals see how often they shower your love one in our case they didn't .Changing bed sheets just didn't happen cleaning the room and laundry services are a joke.Look elsewhere for quality care!

I don't even know where to begin with this. My Mom has lived here for almost 4 years and it has been one problem after the other. She has frequently gone over a week without a shower, sat in the dining room for 30 minutes without being acknowledged, had her medication just left out in the open by the staff, and waited upwards of 45 minutes for a response when she fell. When I spoke with the nurse about all this, I got a lot of lies from her as well as her trying to convince me that my Mom is wrong and most likely senile. With all the issues my Mom has (paralyzed on one side, a little slow mobility) the one thing she is NOT is senile. She has all her mental capacities in place. The care staff here really just does not care about resident care at all. Now, there are a few far and between that seem to care, but they aren't around for very long as they see what is going on and go work elsewhere. I have filed formal complaints with the company that owns this facility and supposedly things were supposed to get better. Nope. They have not. I am currently looking for somewhere else to move my Mom to. This is an honest review and I just want to save someone else from having to go through what our family has gone through in dealing with this facility.
