I was not impressed by our tour. The staff to resident ratio seemed very low even for a smaller facility. It was not very clean. The person who runs it was fantastic and very sweet, they are just very understaffed.

It is not worth the value, everything they told us they could handle, and do was a lie. They never followed through with any of their promises. It was a nightmare in itself and the administrator is extremely rude.

Overall it is a good community. However, there are some issues in communicating with the family. My loved one thinks the food is okay. There are a lot of activities for the residents to choose from.

The community recently lost their activities director and they don't have a lot of activities going on for the residents. They have lost the head nurse, and director at the same time as they lost the activities director. The community has smell in the memory care area. Due to these inconsistences I wouldn't recommend you place your loved one in the community.

older facility that appeared fairly well maintained but was looking a little tired. Respite room was tucked in a far corner that was not manageable for my mother in law with her health problems. Facility has odiferous. Tour guide did not seem knowledgeable and offered little information. staff and residents were friendly

If your loved one is fully functional this could be a good place. If your loved one needs additional care I would go elsewhere. Communication was average but the staff was friendly. The food was not the best

The staff never did what they said they were going to do. They were friendly, but it felt like they were putting on a show. My loved one had just lost her husband, and had a daughter who was dying of cancer. And they wouldn't allow her daughter to come in to visit her. Their Covid restrictions were terrible - absolutely no visitors, and they did so many Covid tests. My loved had about 15, and had to be quarantined to her room so often. I think they went above and beyond what the state said they had to. I do understand they did what they felt they needed to do. It was just hard. The food sucked there. It was just terrible. My loved one would tell me she saw residents standing there at the door, 10 at a day, waiting to get their food delivered because they couldn't eat the food there.

We were not pleased with the their treatment after a medical episode or their plan for the future.

I know trying to get a hold of my loved one hard. It is really hard to rate due to the pandemic. I know that my loved one is safe.

My sister loves the room, it is great size and all of her things fit in here. But, I get the billing for Villa Court. It has been late and I have had to call and ask them to send it. My sister has not been there for 2 months as she has been in the hospital and they have been billing us for the care when she is not even there. They are making the adjustments, but that should not have been overlooked. She asks questions and the management staff ignores her, there have also have been complaints about them from other residents as well. I would not recommend this facility to anybody, look elsewhere.

We put my father in this place when it was owned by another company, Brookdale. We loved it as we could see he was getting all the things he needed: good food, activities and social interaction. Then it changed management and became "Capital Hill". The change was subtle but many of the people that were so friendly and helpful were gone almost overnight. The few people that were left looked strained and unable to have time to say hi as they did before the Capital Hill management had taken over. The food quality went down. The servers for the meals had trouble remembering what was asked for and there was scanty amounts of vegetables. My father gained a lot of weight on low quality food and he had been previously active now needed a walker - all within 6 months. He was going downhill fast. His health declined as did the food quality and the help and assistance to him. He was very sick one evening with throwing up and diarrhea. My brother was called and took him to the hospital with the thought that he was dehydrated. Well, they did tests and found that he had an infection. He was in the hospital for over a week. The people at Capital Hill did not call one time to see how he was doing during that time, Then when going back to his room it was a terrible mess a week later and not even the laundry was done. There was old food left in his room, put there after my father was gone to the hospital. It didn't make sense. We tried to call but trying to get in touch with people at Capital Hill is very difficult. They did not have humans answering the phone, everything was automated. That would have never happened when he was at Brookdale. After a week in the hospital, he had to be in a skilled nursing center for additional recovery. When he was ready to get out of the skilled nursing center we found a better place for him, A different assisted living center. This past week, he has made drastic improvement and is already using his walker less and getting back to great improvement. Being at Capital Hill was a very traumatic experience for my father and our whole family. Never again will we go to Capital Hill. I hope your experience is better than ours was.

decent place but no way for residents to adjust their own room temps - too far from me - out of consideration

Placed my mother here. It seemed like a very nice place. I soon had a very nasty call from the manager telling me to immediately hire a 24 hour service to watch my mom or he would move her out of the facility. What did she do you ask. She has dementia and walked out of the front door. No one stopped her so they had to call the police. I did not feel this should result in a nasty call. This had not happened before. The Manager never did apologize for the rude call. I moved within a couple of days and now she and I are both happy with her new place.

When. I first moved here it had positive attributes. With the new company, Ensign, this facility has been declaiming. Vast turnover, and specially in critical positions. Care staff can be lazy with eyes in phones and not on residents. Common sense can be hard to find displayed. Poor thinking of staff is leading to dangerous situations; after the recent earthquake the person in charge didn't think it necessary to check each of the residnt's rooms for their wellbeing. Residents very commonly say that this company cares only about money and not the residents. Residents have given up going to the Director for solving problems, as his words are empty (according to what I hear). People say they have given up trying to offer suggestions for improvement. Activities are far fewer and poorly attended as caregivers do not help them to get to the activity room.

Cannot be trusted to be safe. I experienced very poor medical follow ups, with no care about their ommissions. Poorly managed with little conscience towards all lacks. Staff had to fill in support in other areas as poor constancy in staffing. Turnover is ongoing. Out of desperation to fill rooms people with great needs get accepted, even those with mental health requirements. These people pies a threat to other residents. It is all money and barely any heart. Attitude of msnagement is apathy. Reception area is lacking, as the front person is also business manager and has her mind preoccupied. Staff is undervalued and so any person is taken on board. No one is to be trusted.

Didn't have kitchenette. Appeared that they forget out appointment. Started ta;ling about activities should have started on room.. They didn't seem very friendly

This facility does not offer any of the amenties it lists on the page. I have a family member who lives here, there is definitely no salad bar or food to order. The cook is only on staff in the morning, so lunch and dinner are usually cold sandwiches or hot dogs. Since the change in activity director, there has been little to no activities for the past 6 months. Very frustrating as some of the staff go out of their way to care for the residents, unfortunately there are too few of them to go around. The management has really neglected the staffing issues and the quality of care of their residents. We are actively looking for new home.

Not that good. Some maintenance and cleaning issues. It wold require a lot of walking outside in weather. Rooms ok.

I want to check into long term skilled nursing care, just in case. So, I scheduled a 10am tour of facility, now under different ownership/management than was when my aunt had stayed there after shoulder surgery, for Monday at 10am.

I toured this community and was just shocked. The staff really rushed through the tour and I just didn't get a good feeling about this place. It was dark and depressing. To me it felt like an old prison. The people did seem happy here.
