My mother looked at Desert Springs while we were exploring different living options for her. It was a nice community, but it seemed a step down from some of the other places we visited, and overall, we just didn’t find that it felt as welcoming, accommodating, and comfortable as we would have liked.

The staff are very caring and friendly and tend to the needs of each and every resident; However, the food is subpar. We are having to bring food from home. Our mom, who has been there since April. Right now, the second time, there is no chef. She will only eat cottage cheese and fruit at dinner time. The rice is so dry she cannot eat it. The price we pay for her living here should include decent food. Breakfast is not, at times, what she orders. We are very pleased with all other aspects and would hate to depart because of the food.

I drove by this community and it looked nice. The people I spoke to over the phone were nice and knowledgable about the community. The community we chose was in a better location for us

The staff that helped me with my tour did a great job, they took their time showing me around and answering my questions. There were a lot of amenities for the residents but what I noticed was that my mother who was using a walker at the time would probably have trouble walking the long hallways so I did not feel that this would be the best fit for her.

I did not like Lexington Assisted Living when I toured. The rooms were extremely small, they were only about 200 feet which are the size of a large closet. Everyone there was nice, but it seemed like a place for people who needed a higher level of care than my father, so it was not going to be a good fit.

concern with troubles with lack of enough staff. Rooms are sometimes [Removed]. Breakfast in room is troublesome. A few times my mother did not get breakfast until she called to complain. Once she did not get her medication. Over all it is a great place.

This community is a little less expensive than the community we chose. They do not offer the same type of activities as the other community. The staff are nice. You get more of a hospital vibe from this community.

I like this community for the care of my mom.She really liked that staff that we very kind and helpful . The food seems to be good, but it is sometimes served and it seems to take a long time to get the meal. My mom did like the activities when she was there. We would recommend the care of this clean and care received to other families.

The director at this community was just lovely to my loved one and I during our tour. I could not have asked for a better person to give us a tour, she was very detailed and made sure to answer any questions my husband and I had for her. I just did not think it was the right fit for him.

This community is very nice and seemed to be very well maintained. The staff is very friendly and the gentleman who took me on the tour was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The community offered a variety of activities. Overall looked like a nice place.

We had a pretty good tour of this community. It was a good experience, and everything went well. The community looked nice, everything appeared to be well-kept. The staff was kind and informative. Everybody was very welcoming, They treated my husband and I very well.

My mother lives here. We have been pretty happy with Citrus Hills the past several months. We tried one other home before this and we are much happier with CH! The facility is older, but we are happier with the staff here than we were at a "fancier" facility. The staff has great communication with us and they seem to take good care of the residents and to really care about their well being. They call us if there are any issues and when we come to visit they give us detailed updates. The floor staff are helpful and responsive. It is also reasonably priced. My only negative comment would be with the maintenance-they have not fixed several things that need to be fixed in her room.

This community was not the right place for us as it is more like an assisted living nursing home. The pricing was ok. They specialize in memory care. The community was clean. They only offered one dining option. The staff I met were nice.

My mom enjoyed the visit here. She liked the meals that were served and liked the activities there. The staff and caregivers were just fine for us. Everything went very good for the time she was there but my mom just wanted to be home. It was a nice experience for her.

I found that a list of what a person should bring with them would be help the confusion.

My Mom resides at Carrington & she increasingly has required a higher level of care due to her dementia. She is there for just over 2 years now. The staff is very friendly & attentive to her. The Administrator is awesome & very helpful. She cares deeply for every patient there. The staff does the absolute very best that they can in meeting everyone's needs, but at times, I feel they could use an additional person especially in the evening hours. There are 20 residents to care for with a limited amount of staff. It usually is not a problem though. Hope this review is helpful.

The staff and cook have been taking very good care of my mother in law and she is also like my mother. We have had a few problems with the in house Dr., whom my mother in law dislikes very much. Hospice has taken over, and at this time the staff is very cooperative. She has not been out of her recliner since she arrived there so not involvement in activities. She also had stopped eatting for 3 wks. But the cook always made her a small plate just in case. Dean the cook is wonderful to all the residence and staff. Samatha the manager or I guess I'm not sure of her title. But my mother in laws eyes just light up when Sam comes in. She is GREAT. That's all I have for now

It's pretty clean, and the staff is friendly. I think the internal communication could be improved, there have been a few instances where the right hand didn't know what the left one was doing. The food seems to be okay for my mom, but my dad is a meat and potatoes guy, and it's not the best for him.

We've had a fairly good experience with the California Mission Inn! They do a good job keeping the facility clean and well kept, and the staff have always been very friendly. They also do an excellent job with the food, it is good and there is always plenty for everyone to eat. There are a few things I would like to see them improve, however. The biggest thing is that they always seem very short staffed for the number of people they are looking after. The residents don't seem to get a lot of individual attention, although they are good about making sure everyone's basic assistance needs are met. The facility also just looks a bit old and worn down, although they told me they are planning to remodel soon.

Initial tour of the facility was very pleasant. At first, I felt it was too good to be true. Went back again with another family member to get their opinion; it was favorable. Also a close friend visited they liked the smallness of the community. The residents were friendly and had a sense of caring for the others. There seem to be no seperate of race - good feature because once you reach that age and share the same ailments and situations...everybody is the same. So far the staff has been helpful and supportative to me. In my situation, I had to relocate a dementive relative from California to Texas alone an extremely hard task. Sterling House - Desoto staff has been GREAT.
