Phoebe Ministries

One of the nurses did a good job and kept us informed. The social worker was also good with updates. I think they took too long to start therapy but they said it is slow getting started. We would like more therapy.

I have nothing bad to say about the whole organization, they're really, really good. They have some really great people working there. The nursing care has been good but right now they have my mom in a setting where they're not allowing her any kind of independence at all, so that's difficult for her. Overall, she's not loving the dining experience. She can't manage to eat by herself very well anymore. I get occasional calls but the communication with the last move wasn't great. It was really time-compressed and really took us by surprise at how fast they wanted to move her. I've got a meeting with Phoebe this afternoon to talk about my concerns.

So far, so good! The therapists have my mom up and moving around and that is good. Everyone is nice and helpful. There is one aide who is very friendly and helpful with mom. It is very nice and clean. She does not have a problem with the meals and she is not going hungry. I spoke with the nurse but not a doctor yet but the communication has been good.

Everyone is thorough and friendly. There are no worries with my loved one being there. The therapists are helping her with her mobility. She raves about the food and it is her favorite thing. They have a variety of food. The cleanliness is not bad but there is room for improvement. She was there last year and they are good with their follow-up. They provide all of the necessary follow up. The staff care is great but sometimes we have to wait a little too long for help because they are busy.

Overall it has been such a great experience with Phoebe. This is not my father's first time at the facility and despite his condition, he seems to always be happy when he knows he is returning. This time has been a complete turn around for him at Pheobe. He is never in his room! He is really enjoying himself now and all over the place. I can barely find him when I go to see him because he is having such a good time. This whole process has been difficult on me but I am relieved to have my father here and he is doing amazing with the therapy. He is gaining weight here which we want! In fact, he is ordering everything! The communication has been excellent! There is only one concern I have at this time. The staff is putting really large diapers on him at this point which are different than what he normally wears. I know it is easier for the staff to use these but I think he finds them to be a bit humiliating.

It seems to be going well so far. The communication to me has been fine. My loved one is not wild about the meals and she feels the meals are lacking flavor. There is room for improvement when it comes to communication between the shifts. There was an error with one of her medications because of this.

They have good service there and the nurses were good with no issues.

I would recommend Phoebe Allentown!

My wife's stay was good but I think that they could improve on the meal varieties.

The staff was welcoming and delightful. It was clean. They were great in therapy. My loved one's PT person was phenomenal.

It is very clean. My mom is not a big eater to begin with. The communication has not been the greatest.

Everything was good but they bring my loved one her medications and then leave. I think that they're understaffed. They've all been very nice.

My loved one has made a lot of progress with the therapy! He rings the bell, they come, and do whatever they can. They help him during dinner. Everyone is nice and friendly. In the beginning, we had some issues with his medication, but it's been good. It's always clean and neat! His bed is always made, his room is always clean. It's an older building, but it's always clean. He seems to like the food! They call me on my cell phone, and I always find out what's going on.

My loved one is happy there and she likes the people. Everybody is nice and friendly. They always smile and say hello to her. It is very clean. She enjoys the meals.

Overall, it was good but there were some minor hiccups getting the meds straightened out.

I like the staff and the atmosphere. The food is good too. They are all kind and friendly. I have not gotten too many updates.

Everything was good except the communication.
