The value for the dollar is good. There's a lot of red tape that can make simple things difficult, so you have to just be really careful and clear with them and make sure you're being an advocate for your loved one. It's a really good place, but make sure you know what's going on, particularly around medications. It's an amazing place, and the staff has been really good the majority of the time. My loved one has been very happy with the food. The overall quality is consistently good, and much better than another place where she used to live. She also likes the activities, especially bingo. But they offer so many other things, including jewelry making and video bowling.

We chose Peregrine Senior Living at Colonie because of the location and it was a very nice facility, it really impressed me. The room sizes here are not bad, but they could be a little bit bigger. The bathrooms are huge, but the bedrooms are on the small side. Overall, I would recommend it.

This was a short visit for my loved one due to needing to help my loved one move to another community. The staff was great, the lady in charge of the staff was wonderful. The room was very nice for my loved one and it was a private room for them.

The community for the most part was clean, however there were some instances where we noticed a distinct odor. All the staff were all very polite and respectful. Generally, our mom is treated with respect and they do a good job keeping up with her hygiene. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they have done a good job making sure we are still able to talk with her on the phone and through video conferencing. She seems happy and well cared for, overall. Sometimes it can be difficult to coordinate communication between the in-house physician outside doctors.

I thought overall, the cleanliness was pretty good. There were some staff that really went out of their way to make my dad comfortable when we could not be there. My dad was an enhanced care resident and I did feel like they were not quite able to meet his high level of needs. They did their best, however it did seem like he was a little bit beyond their level of care. The activities were lacking and didn't seem like they were designed to engage the residents enough and it didn't seem like they tried to encourage the residents to participate in those activities much either.

The common areas of the community were very well maintained. They only came in to clean the resident rooms once a week and I didn't feel like they did a very good job with that; it seemed like they were doing the bare minimum. The staff was friendly, however when my mother needed medical assistance, they seemed quick to determine that she was no longer a good fit for the community. Until the Covid-19 pandemic, mother was enjoying the activities they had to offer and the food from the dinning room. Atria is pretty expensive, however it seems comparable to other communities in the area.

Three family members went to tour this facility for my uncle's continued care Enhanced Assisted Living. We were very impressed with the facility and it's amenities, esp. as the Community Sales Director, [name removed] gave us incredible feedback on their care services. Great tour with view of different levels of accommodations.

My mother has been living at Atria Shaker for about 8 months and so far it has gone quite well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is good and the medicine she needs is delivered timely. All seems to be running smoothly. One of the big surprises was figuring out that the nurses on staff there are not allowed to do anything medically except provide prescription medicines. My mother fell once and had a big bruise with a small cut. They were unable to provide even an ice pack or neosporin without her doctors orders. It seems that some things should be able to be done such as the basic things you would do if you were home.

My mother has been at Peregrine since April. In spite of other bad reviews, I am very satisfied with the care she receives. Nice people work there and it is always clean and bright. Plenty of activities.

Peregrine Colonie is always bright and clean. Staff is friendly and seems to really care. They also take them on trips from time to time. A broad range of abilities of the residents makes the community better I believe.

Peregrine is a wonderful place. I have the privilege of observing the staff caring for our loved ones numerous times a week. They are caring and compassionate with a strong focus on the comfort of our family members. I would recommend this facility to everyone. The only issues are staffing levels and training. Administration needs to step up hiring as they sometimes lack coverage if someone calls out but those girls get things done. The memory care unit needs more individuals who are trained to handle the unique behaviors of the dementia and alzheimer inflicted individuals. I appreciate the staff as they work very hard to provide a homey and loving environment for our family members. Staff is friendly and easy to talk with and I have no reservations when I have to walk out the door.

My father needed this place for a recovery type period after two major surgeries and cancer diagnosis. The staff was very good. The food was excellent. The facility was always clean. His room was very comfortable. There were a lot of activities, but our dad didn't opt for them. But I was very impressed by the list and variety. The administration went above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition and welcome into the facility. He was there about two months and was able to go back to his home. We really appreciate the support Peregrines gave to us at that critical time for our dad. It was a relief to know he was in a good facility.

A wonderful community but they just raised their prices and are now beyond our price range and the assets my Mother has left.

Atria is a good place for my mother in law. She is wheelchair bound due to Parkinson's. She is also in the beginning stages of dementia. The staff ratio to residents is perfect because they are able to be there for them quickly if needed. Their rooms are cleaned twice a week as well as laundry. She loves playing bingo and scrabble and rummy which they have quite often. She has only been there about 10 days but seems to enjoy it.

Atria is a nice senior living facility. The staff was warm and welcoming. There is an obvious level of personal care that I experienced from every person that I met with. Atria offers many ammenities and activities. The facility was clean and comfortable.

We had a very nice tour of this community. It is a very nice facility with kind people. The tour went well, we did not have any problems. The community looked great, everything was very well-kept. The staff was very kind, and helpful. They treated us well, and all our questions were answered. It was not the right fit for my aunt, but we had a good tour overall.
