Peregrine Senior Living

I have been happy to have my mother at Peregrine. She’s been there for 8 months so far. The staff have been wonderful, the place is very clean, and they have activities going on all the time, including excursions in the summer. They are careful to keep Covid out. The only caveat I have is that there doesn’t seem to be a mechanism for communication, so I don’t know how my mother is doing. She seems fine when I visit, but it would be nice to have confirmation and a little detail.

They offer activites daily. It would be nice if they got the reseidents, more engaged in the activites. We picked this community, because of the friendliness of the people and price.

They gave us a good tour, but the facility really needs to be updated. We were not impressed, it felt dark and dingy. There was really no open spaces, it was just hallways and rooms.

My impression of Peregrine Salisbury was very favorable overall. It was a multi-level facility though, which I personally didn’t care for as it would not have been easy for my loved one with dementia to navigate.

Overall Peregine Senior Living has been a great place, it is expensive but it seems to really be right in line with other communities in the area. We have not had experience with the meals ourselves but when we talk to our loved one she says the are good. We are not sure what activities our loved one has participated in but we do see a different activities calendar every month. The community is very clean, and the staff to patient ratio is good. We do come at different times on different days and our loved one always seems to have the same aid.

We've had a relatively positive experience. Some of the staff is VERY good. They have a lot of activities and interact with the residents quite a bit. They make a real effort in a difficult job. Sometimes they're short on staff, which I understand is a common situation in these times. And once they're able to get staffing levels up, they'll be even better.

I would recommend Peregrine of Clifton Park. As a matter of fact, I have twice already.

Seemed like a nice community, but ended up choosing one that was closer for the immediate family.

This is a very nice place for our loved one. They have friendly and professional staff here. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The aides and nurses truly care about the residents and it shows. The staff communication with the family is very good. They are willing to talk about my loved one and answer any questions I have. Corn Hole, arts and crafts, board games, parachutes, walks around the building, outings, and more are some of the activities offered for the residents to participate in.

My mother has been at Delmar Place for 2 1/2 years. It was hard for her to adjust at first, and it was challenging for me, one of her daughters, to feel trusting and comfortable. She has been hospitalized twice since she's been there, and it was after this most recent hospitalization that I truly realized the value of her living at Delmar Place. Familiar staff were waiting for her at the door as we brought her back from the hospital. She was assured that they would help her make the adjustment back to being in her own apartment again, and they have! Today we held a family meeting that included my two sisters (by phone), my mother, the executive director, and the interim social worker. Their commitment to her comfort and care is absolutely clear. They treat her as an individual with her own wishes and habits being respected. They also had very good suggestions on what she could add to her diet to get her weight back up a little. I highly recommend Delmar Place Assisted Living!

Our tour at Peregrine was fine. We didn’t have any concerns and thought things looked well done.

The only problem that I find is that they seem slow to respond to request at this community. This is a good community but it is a bit expensive. My interactions with the staff they seem nice and friendly and are willing to try and help the residents as well as us.

They're very welcoming. And they get the patients involved in a lot of activities. I like the care they give to my loved one overall. We have had some challenges with her in memory care. She'll say she doesn't want them to do things like wash her hair, and I wish they would work harder at getting those things done when she says no. But the food service is great. They have two choices at each meal, and the staff walks around during meals to make sure the resident is eating. If they notice they're not, they'll ask if they want the other choice. They'll prompt the resident if they set down the fork and forget to keep taking bites. I appreciate that they keep a good eye on them and make sure they're eating.

The community is alright, and better than others I have heard about. The staff has been good to work with the family and residents. There is a new chef on staff and the meals are improving for the residents, with more variety.

We chose Peregrine Senior Living because it is strictly a memory care facility and it is close to my home. Sometimes we have a hard time with communications so they could use some improvement on that. I do appreciate how they are dealing with covid, they send an update weekly by email or newsletter to families. Overall, I would recommend them to others looking.

We're pretty happy with Peregrine. The place is spotless. We appreciate the staff that is there. I think they do the best they can given the attitude of the person living there. Communication is a little bit of an issue as far as getting responses. I don't expect a response right away, but it would go a couple of days before we would hear back. So just keep on top of communication. We looked at several other facilities, and we're very happy with where she's at.

It is very pricey and they do not have a regular medical check up unless you get sick or need a doctor so we wish that would change. Other than that the community is very clean, the staff we do know are wonderful, our loved one enjoys the meals especially the salads. The activities are still pretty limited.

I thought it was a good place. I was there quite a bit, and it was clean. The staff was very helpful, cooperative, and supportive. Occupational and physical therapy were on point and quite informative when things changed. My loved one was only there for about a month, so it was difficult for her to make the transition, but everybody did what they could to help her out.
