Peregrine Senior Living

This would be my number one recommendation. This is a memory care facility. They are top notch they have someithing goining on everyday they have a volunteer pool they have musicians coming in and people from the school. The food is excellent, the care is outstanding. The staff is great! Very reasonably priced, with an on-site doctor and an onsite psychiatrist. This is so convenient. They can monitor her every two weeks. They have a computerized medication management system. The communication between everyone that works and lives there is great!! It's like a resort, it's beautiful! They split the two sections into two wings so there is only twenty to twenty five people on each wings and they open up the courtyard during the days so everyone can mingle and socialize. The furniture is beautiful. I did a lot of research when looking around and no one touches this one. Multiple courtyards to go in. They take people on trips and outings in the summer and family events. I have peace of mind knowing my mom is there.

We are very happy with it! We ate there and the food is very good, it's home made. My father is very happy, and anytime he needs anything they are there to help, and just the the care that he is getting. Everybody treats him with respect. No complaints at all. It's very homey. A little smaller environment. They always call him by name.

They were the least expensive of the communities I looked at and I was concerned about the service. My only very mild complaint is that the director of activities,who is wonderful and the residents really like him, but there seems to be an awful lot of emphasis on religious activities and my parents are not terribly so religious. They do offer other activities though and my parents really enjoy the musical activities and they are a number of those. They offer memory care. They do try to plan outings but as far as I know they have fallen through. I chose this community because they had a lot of integrity and followed through with what they said they were going to do, without any promises not kept. We had heard that the food was not very good but it seems fine. We came for Thanksgiving dinner and the food was really quite decent. They offer snacks, my mother is a nibbler and they always provide her with that. They don't have companion rooms so they had to take two rooms, but they gave us a discount on that. They have the most caring people, incredible care, really, really good. I have not seen anyone even get grumpy with the residents.

We toured Beacon Pointe because there are only two communities in town that have both assisted living and memory care. We really like Beacon Pointe, but decided to move my brother to another community. It was very nice and the people were very friendly, but they wouldn't have taken my brother to his doctor's appointments, which was very important to me.

They're at the high end as far as cost but I do think they've got a great product. My mom's pretty happy with the quality of the care. The activities are wonderful. We went through a fairly exhaustive process, looking at places. Mom really wanted to live in the community that she was currently in. We looked others and this just seemed to be the best. We're really happy with where she is. The woman that's there has been around for a while. She's an RN and she's the real deal. She's high energy and I very impressed with them. We were vetting them but hey were vetting us too. I was impressed by the questions they asked. They were making sure we weren't just trying to get rid of our mother, you know? The whole thing was pretty professional.

We have had a very positive experience thus far. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. Mom is settling in very well, is happy and well cared for.

We chose Atria Salisbury because it is a nice, clean facility, full of friendly people. When we toured Atria the residents were out and about happily doing their thing. This place seemed like the best fit for my grandmother to enjoy her independence as long as she can.

This place looks delightful. Clean, protective, varied venues (town square, meeting rooms, TV corners, lots of activities, music, attentive care). Location was also important for us.

Wonderful place, and is on my keeper list. Everyone was helpful in my visit.

It's a safe clean environment for my mother, and people treat the residents very well. I feel they could do better getting her involved in daily activities since she can't remember what's going on. It's been a blessing for her, and us.

It's a really nice place to put someone that you love; we feel that our parents are cared for there. Some of their activities include cooking, physical activity games, pets, live music, memory games, outings, etc.. Although my loved one doesn't participate in much, I do see these things going on within the community. Communication is primarily through email; but I know that if ever and whenever I have a question, I can feel free to call them. They have open communication and are willing to communicate with us. Overall I would recommend Peregrine Senior Living at Onondaga Hill to others.

I would recommend Atria Salisbury to others for their loved ones. The staff is very friendly, caring, and willing to assist the family and residents. The community works well with hospice, and the care they have been able to provide has been good. Due to the pandemic the community didn't allow for family to visit during meal times. Some of the activities that are available are arts and crafts, games, and more for the residents in memory care.

Our loved one hasn't complained about the meals and dining service so we assume that is pretty good, and they do have a lot of activities. The staff has been wonderful, and one thing we saw right away that we liked was how engaged and interactive the residents are.

We went with Atria because it was convenient as far as the location and they provided transportation necessary at the time he needed to the hospital for treatment. The facility met his needs and my brother liked it here. We had no complaints and I would recommend to others looking.

We liked them a lot, although it was very expensive. The community was very nice and the staff were very good. My mother can be difficult at times and requires memory care and Atria was really good with her. One thing they could improve on is the food. They were always doing something with the residents to keep them occupied. The building was also very secure and were good about having visitors sign in. Overall, a good experience.

My mom had been there for 3 months & we couldn't be more pleased. Sure, there are some things that could improve, but all profit facilities have their flaws. I feel as though the activities could use a majoroverhaul. The activities girl is sweet, but I feel like a great deal of the clients appear bored. Every time I come to visit, especially on the weekends all there is is puzzles and coloring. My mom personally loves the bus trips, and music entertainment but I dont think puzzles are something she has ever done. The care staff for the most part is top notch. The nurses and medication people are knowledgable, and if I have a question or concern. The response is prompt. Some of the clients are more confused than others and the staff has patience of saints. They handle each client with individuality and such csre. Is it perfect? As I said, not always. However, the peace of mind you receive knowing your loved one is safe is worth seeing past the flaws. I recommend peregrine to anyone going through the process of watching someone you love, fade away.

I am surprised at the negative reviews because we have had a good experience so far. My mother in law has been at Peregrine for 3 months. We haven't had any issues. Everytime I go there the staff is friendly and the place is clean. I find it hard to believe that someone would keep a family member in a place for 7 months without being showered. That sounds more like a disgruntled employee to me.

Dad, 82 yrs old, stayed at Atria Guilderland for about 1.5months. Although not "home" he enjoyed the activities and staff. Active & friendly community. Dad was a tier 3 payment, most expensive due to him needing help. Staff went out of their ways to make his time memorable & very helpful to our family.

The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food is very good. They offer a calendar of daily activities and my aunt seems to enjoy some of them. I do have to pay for an outside service for some of her care so I would suggest asking a lot of questions in regard to the care your loved one needs. The community is clean and I would recommend it.
