I would recommend you run the opposite direction and don't give this community a penny. They are supposed to be trained to handle any situation that arises with a resident, and this doesn't happen. They end up sending the resident to the ER due to behavioral issues they have and then refuse to allow the resident back into the community afterwards.

My loved one had really high care needs. They just didn't have enough staff to begin with, and then they kept taking on more residents. If he didn't need as much help, maybe I would rate them differently. I don't want to take a way from the nice and compassionate people who were there, but some of the staff were not compassionate, and management tended to be unresponsive and unbothered by our concerns to meet our loved one's needs. He had no control over the temperature in his room, which negatively affected his particular health condition. It was just a very unfortunate situation. I was told they could meet his needs, and that he could use the van to go to physical therapy. I would say about 90% of the things I was told were not true.

I don't’ know what the independent and assisted living is like, but the memory care wing was a horrid place. It's a locked wing on the 2nd floor. Any residents who weren't in their rooms were sitting in wheelchairs hanging over the side of them at the nurse’s station. There was nowhere to walk around or do anything. Some doors led out onto a balcony/patio, but there was no real outdoor space to move around in. It felt like they were in jail. I wouldn’t even consider that for my loved one. The room itself was really nice, and when you first walk in the main doors to the building, it's very nice and very clean. But there was no way we would place our loved in a memory care unit like this one.

I couldn't get into the community. Some of the problems I have seen are: them removing my loved on going to the hospital multiple times. The community wouldn't let me get my loved one's belongings out of the community. They continued to bill me as if my loved one was there. They stated the furniture belonged to them.

the community is short on staff and you're loved ones don't get the attention needed. Communication

Don't be fooled by the nice building and good sales job. Nursing is either understaffed or doesn't care, either way it results in very poor service. Typically response time to the call button was 15 to 30 mins and this was in the high acuity unit. Numerous other issues, such as her falling when they were helping her into bed, leaving her in the bathroom for extended periods, no bathing for almost a week. This was all in a three week period. Sent letter to the CEO advising him of the situation and culture at that facility.. never heard back. If you want top care for a loved one, find a different company.

I loved this place for mom up until she started to run out of money, then it all went bad. To make it short, they transferred my mother to a facility with active Covid cases- why? I believe it was to lessen their workload of sending referrals out to other facilities (in a COVID environment this is a difficult process, especially when the majority of facilities were not sent the necessary referral package). Yes, we were desperately trying a find a place, but a decent place. After PSL sent a referral package to a location that we did not select/was not on our list, we did start talking to the location and letting them see if they would accept her (since the process was so difficult at this point due to COVID). We were still looking at facilities and spending hours talking to other facilities and sending the referral package from PSL ourselves - and we had three in process of consideration. Then they transferred mom, without verbal or written permission/approval for the transfer, into a facility that had just had active COVID cases (in total 109 patients and 40 employees since July)! They also sent her Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to the wrong email account. I have also heard that staff turnover is high at this location. With all of this, I can only give this place a one star.

My loved one has been threatened by one of the workers there. Her caretaker has been banned from several rooms on the 1st floor and second floor. She has spoken to the sorry DON and her assistant and they haven't done anything. Her care aide has a bad attitude and works evening shift. I have never experienced this kind of personal care ever. High rate of employee turnover. It was not like this a few years ago under the other DON.

I would NOT RECOMMEND paramount Baldwin!!! My father stayed on the respite care side for 3 days... they would not help him to the bathroom after he hit the nurses button several times and attempted to do so himself, as a result he fell and was hurt and went to the hospital. I paid them 1,000.00 dollars deposit prior to his stay..... because he did not clear the room completely of his clothes they kept the entire 1,000.00 dollars even though he was only there for 3 days! They also said we still owe 400.00 dollars. They explained that my dad signed the contract agreeing to this but they did not explain that to my brother, and when I asked why, things were not clear, and they kept saying that my dad knew even though I said he was in the hospital and how could he possibly be aware when he re-fractured his femur because they were fused to help him out of bed!!! They said that they called many times but my brother only has record of them reaching out on the last day my dads room was contracted for. NEVER use this company they are a complete scam and liars who clearly take advantage of elderly people!

My family member was often not getting in the shower, filth under nails, clothes were dirty,clothes missing along with many personal items. No inventory was taken of their items. Staff turnover is horrific so your loved one has no stability as far as familiar faces of workers. Staff was caught in lies by a family member and it gets swept under the rug. Our family could go on forever on issues...but a waste of time. Just doing this as a warning to others.Nice looking facility, many promises...but please don't be fooled. If you can find another place please do. Some place maybe not as "fancy"...but look for established places...

Dark and dreary, no staff visible. No activity in the memory care unit at all. One resident walking up and down the hall looking for her daughter.

Things were okay in the beginning, and then things went downhill fast. The meals were horrible, and I would have to bring my loved one meals to support them. I believe the allotment for meals was monetarily minimal. The aides were nice in the beginning, and then they became snippy towards my loved one and family. My loved one was left in the Hoyer lift and then my loved one became numb and had trouble breathing. It was one thing after another while my loved one was here. One of the nurses was fired due to them spending extra time caring for my loved one. I felt there was no professional assistance with the staff in the community. Paramount hospice wasn't willing to allow the breathing machine due to it being part of assistance in life saving measures. Someone in the community took some of my loved one's belongings right after my loved one passed away without permission from the family.

My mom was a resident there for three years. They tell you anything to get you to move in. My mom was abused, robbed and worst of all when admitted to the hospital she was septic, and dehydrated just to mention a few. Think twice. Nice to look at, but just a fancy [language removed].

If you want your love one abused, robbed and neglected this is the place for you.

Stay away! Memory care unit poorly staffed, poorly trained, poor communication! UNSAFE, my parent fell within less than 48 hours of admission.

My Moms been there for 3 months and I have had it... I am getting her out of there... Please think twice before putting any on in there...
