Looks most like Thunderbird, but has two levels of memory care. Private pay only. Both levels of memory care are closed environements so she cannot wander off the floor she is on. Laundry would be included, but if she wanted she could still do her own or just on occasion. Long term staff who get to know the resident and her personal needs. One-bedroom or studio style apartments in first level of memory care. Studio in higher level. Had a few openings.

The Director is very informative about Alzheimers. Have alzheimers doctor on staff. Tell her that Dr. has told her not able to live independent any longer. His idea not ours. Need to work with staff for best transition. Well trained staff engages and works through this stage.

Independent & assisted living mixed. No cooking, but sm frig & microwave. All meals provided. 400-600 sq.ft. Most w/ balcony. Emergency cords in BR & bath. 6 scheduled activities daily. Transp. w/in 10 mi radius incl. Weekly housekeeping & one load of personal laundry. No pool.

Lovely setting & I loved the place. Lots of activities, friendly staff. 67 residents, most of whom are smiling and happy. The rooms are clean, and, airy. Nice park across the street & Burlingame Ave is a couple of blocks away. My tour guide spent alot of time going over Mom's needs, and, I felt she had a good understanding of the situation and offered alot of advise on how to try to get Mom re-engage in life. No question in my mind, if a move needs to be made, this is the place for my Mom.

This is a nice facility, convient to our location, and with a nice staff. It is a very open facility as far as family visits and interaction. The halls are narrow and do leave one with a more of an instituational feeling. The appartments are also quite a bit smaller than what my mother currently has which could make it harder for my mother to accept. The meals are also a bit more limited than what she is use to having today. The area for thosse with more limited mental facilities is a bit larger and a bit of a better set-up than the Oakmont facility.

Loved the facility. The food was great. The apts were small with not too much closet space. Requested upgrades like the model 1 bedroom but have not received ans. yet. One 2 bedroom available at this time but all 2 bedroom are facing the main st. Considering whether one bedroom would work but concerned that Meridian is too far from us and mom's friends.
