I did not like the this community and the environment. My loved one needed more attention felt more like a nursing home.

The lady we toured with had only been here about [date removed] but we found her sales pitch to be very aggressive. The facility is absolutely beautiful. The room sizes were much smaller. It is not in the safest neighborhood, but it is gated.

This is an older building and the doorways are not wide enough for an automated scooter or wheelchair to get through.

This community is in a hidden back area where you had to go through a neighborhood. It looked run down and the price changed with the level of care. The style of the room was also a quad with a joint living space and I did not want this for my loved one. They did not seem as friendly as another community we went with either. The residents also did not seem very energetic.

Overall, the staff is very friendly. They struggle with getting their billing correct. I've had multiple issues with trying to get the billing fixed and solidified. Overall, when it came to the care of my loved one, they identified key areas they were going to focus on and took the initiative to correct those things. With the condition that he was in coming into their facility, they had some obstacles to overcome. But they did the best they could in overcoming those obstacles. However, he had a significant fall in their care, and I believe that was due to lack of staff. And they seem to have some staffing issues - not necessarily disgruntled employees, but employees with perhaps not the right mindset for the job.

This community was further away than I wanted my loved one to be.

This community was not as clean, inviting, open or lively as the community we chose. Just overall not a good fit for my loved one.

I would tell others to be very careful when you talk to the administrative staff about what you are looking for. They are not upfront about what you will truly get once you move in. They are protective of themselves as for what you can and cannot do. But if you are not getting what you should get, that is a whole different story. The front office staff are very rude. Communication has been a big issue for us as well.

When my loved one went in here the staff were very pleasant and personable and were extremely helpful. They told us he would be able to be there until end of life and that they have skilled nursing and hospice available if needed. He was here a couple of days and had to go to the hospital. When he returned, they told us that he would not be able to stay there anymore since he was bed ridden. It was a good experience in the beginning, but a bad experience towards the end. We felt they misrepresented the care they could handle in the beginning, they could have been more upfront with us.

I think they were in change of ownership, so they were still working things out. They definitely were trying and working on things though. My loved one was there for a short respite stay. For the most part she enjoyed the food. Move-in and move-out didn't go perfectly smoothly. There were some little miscommunications. And our final bill included some charges that we were not told about initially. We had to kind of fight to get that resolved, but they did refund us eventually.

Our family had an in person tour and it was very sales forward, it felt very heavy with all the pitching and number talk. The assisted living side was beautiful, but we felt the memory care side was more separated and dreary.

Initially I had severe doubts. Its hard to let go of a beloved husband. But in time it is improving. I'd like the aides to stay longer so the know them.

During our tour a resident spilled their water and needed help but the tour guide just kept going instead of helping and that just kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

The facility itself is clean, but the house keeping that comes to do the light cleaning could use a little more consistency. The food so far is okay but the portion sizes could be a little bit better and the staff members are extremely friendly. They focus a lot on the exercise which is nice, but they do not have a big variety of things to do during and throughout the entire day for the residents.

At the time that we toured, they were just about to start a major renovation. The dining area was already under construction, so residents were having to eat in their rooms. And we just didn’t want to deal with that.

The people we met on our tour were very nice. They just wanted to put us into assisted living, and independent living is a better fit for us. We are both younger, still in our 70s, and I thought their pool was inadequate. And the activities were nice, but they were geared toward people who were more handicapped.

I did not like this community. I seen another community first and it made it hard. It just couldn't compare to the community that I already had as my number one.

The staff are constantly changing, we are not sure exactly what the problem is but some of the office staff has left and the head of maintenance has left. However based on our experience we would still recommend this community to others. We visited several other communities and right away we liked Pacifica because they have cottages where they have only 16 per cottage. This allowed them to have more freedom, and more one on one attention. The residents can walk outside, talk and mingle with each other, they can participate in activities like bingo, or hang out in their rooms. The staff take them on small outings like to the park where they can sit on benches by the water.

My tour here was really nice. However, I was not impressed with the facility. It was definitely outdated, and it wasn't clean in the common areas. But the people who led the tour were very nice and very accommodating. No complaints with them!
