Pacifica Senior Living

Like all assisted living facilities it's difficult to move a love one into someone else's care. But sometimes has to be done! The staff is great at Chesapeake place- sometimes the communication is not the greatest - leaving messages and nobody calls back! The move in process was great. [Name removed] was more than accommodating during the move in! The meals, I'm hearing from a few of the residents, are too salty- which concerns me with residents who have high blood pressure! I would recommend Chesapeake place, just be careful of the level of care that the new resident is coming in under- I wasn't expecting to pay over 1k more than the previous location!

Pacifica, Rancho Penasquitos. They are very caring, friendly, kind people who take their jobs seriously. The facility is clean, affordable, and they offer activities throughout the day to appeal to to a wide range of interests. They typically offer three outings a week, so that residence can do some light shopping, go out to lunch, or take a scenic drive. The food is good, and the menu is flexible so that residents have choices. My dad is getting more exercise, socialization, and mental activities to keep him engaged throughout the day. We are so thankful to the staff at Pacifica for all that they do!

Overall, the staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean. The move in process was smooth. The communication is lacking, it's been hard to get in touch with the Director about questions that I've had. The food is good so far. I would recommend the facility, my dad seems to like it there.

Staff and residents are very friendly and helpful. Staff is responsive to the needs of the residents. Elevators are a problem. Breaks down often. Not a good thing for a 14-story building with residents that have mobility issues. An overhaul of the elevator is needed. The first floor area would benefit from a hotel-grade air freshener system to combat overflow kitchen smells. 12-hour dining would be ideal. Spot shampoo carpet in hallway on floors that need it. We've been informed that there's going to be a rent increase of up to 10%. Very high increase for residents that are on a fixed income.

They are very helpful and caring. They offer a studio, 1bd, 2bd. Nice but very small closets, only independent living has kitchenettes. They are in process of remodeling them. Housekeeping, laundry and trash pick up weekly.

The staff at Pacifica care truly about the facility and its residents. My loved one is in the memory care unit, and he has been thriving and enjoying his time there. [name removed] has been so helpful, kind and transparent during this whole process and supported our family to ensure the needs were met accordingly. There have been times during visiting that the areas don't appear as clean, but my loved one has been cleaned and well groomed. Staff care deeply and don't hesitate to jump in out of their traditional roles to help and offer support. Pacifica allows for our family to feel safe and secure.

[name removed] is the reason why we went with Pacifica. She was transparent, kind and did her best to make things work for us as she understood our situation for my dad's care. She was flexible and made things easy from the start. She supported us through the move in process and ensured the rooms were to standard. When a curtain was dirty within 24 hours it was replaced. There have been some challenges with communication after my dad moved in, but you can tell the community cares about its residents and goes above and beyond.

They tried very hard to make Mom happy. I would highly recommend. West Park is a lovely community with very nice employees. The facility is very well maintained.

My loved one is a resident at Pacifica Senior Living Fresno. The staff is AMAZING! However, it's the new owners that are failing. The carpets are nasty and should be replaced like we were told at the time of our sign up. Their staff is way over worked. The new owners don't treat them very well and staff are leaving and they aren't hiring more people to replace them. The food quality and portion sizes are going down hill FAST! They no longer have a chef, only 1 cook and it shows! It takes way too long to get food and we were told by the cook that all of the meals are now pre-made meals that they just warm up as they are ordered. They don't have any activities, except for bingo or cards after every meal and also an art class. Overall, for the cost, they need to do better.

My father in law has been there for 10 months although he's declining the staff there is good and redirects him when he wants to leave or find his car. He seems happy, well fed, and safe.

We are VERY disappointed with the fact that they will be quitting the making up of beds after washing the linens in March! My mother is 92 and on a walker. She is unable to do this on her own. This should be considered a basic service. Shame on them!

My mother has been a resident for 6 years and I am impressed with the good care she has received. This institution has continually upgraded each year and my mother is very happy living here.

I have lived at Gold Country for 14 years and happy with my living conditions. Staff is friendly and supportive.

What our family likes most about the Kenmore Senior Living community is the location. Overall it is a nice place and we would recommend them to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

Staff has been helpful and friendly during out move. At times staff feels a little short handed but overall great to work with . We like the way staff knows are names and talk with us. Feels very personable.

I like the independence I have to do what I wish. The facility provides games and puzzles that keep the mind active. My living quarters are adequate and I have cable tv, microwave, oven, and refrigerator.

Sure could use a couple of simple microwaves to heat cold coffees and cold foods. We were told it is a health concern!? Also we have very large restaurant with time schedules for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Waiters are assigned to numbered tables. As a result, they are required to take orders at their tables only. Thus so often people are asking who is our waiter! Why cant waiters take orders on a first come basis?! They would still have table numbers. What is happenings, late comers are often fed first.

The location is clean and bright. It feels comfortable the moment you come in the front gate. The staff was very helpful and answered all of my questions honestly
