Pacifica Senior Living

I think it's a great place. I recommended it to many people. It's an older facility, but that is what makes it affordable. It's very cozy under all the shaded trees. I would live there myself.

We are very happy with this community, especially given the cost! My father is happy there and adjusting nicely. However, I would have liked to see a little more attention provided when he first moved in to help him settle in and get involved. Luckily, that has happened naturally and he is doing great. I love the outdoor space they have and they keep the grounds well maintained. This community is a great option for those on more limited budgets.

Pacifica Senior Living Palm Beach was fine for my mother in law, because she had dementia and was content to just sit and stare and occasionally talk to someone. The aides were nice to her. She really couldn't participate in the activities and I'm not sure that they had many. I don't know how the other cottages are if you are more mentally with it.

Moving my mom to The Park Lane was a huge decision for all of us, and so far so good! Mom is 85, healthy and independent. She has been welcomed into the community and is happy in her new surroundings. Everyone has been helpful and the staff is very kind. I will say it's a little rough around the edges, and the food is mediocre. It also feels like a majority of residents are struggling with mobility. It's an older crowd and not necessarily a vibrant and active community. That being said, people seem happy and there are lots of activities for people of all abilities. But ultimately we are happy with mom's new situation.

It is clean and most of the staff are warm and friendly. They are short staffed and do not have enough people and time to care for someone with significant needs. We have had to bring in private care. Also, they are very corporate and bill according to a point system, which is somewhat impersonal. The rate for care keeps going up and I have to make sure they are providing the care they charge for. Don't love the way the nursing program is run.

My review has decreased with the transition to Pacifica. Wood floors increase fall risks and increases noise with poor floor insulation. The odor of hallways has increased. Mold? Cleaners?

It is easy to sign in an a very smooth process. They need more staff to improve care. Food needs to be more creative it feels more like hospital food. I would recommend Hollywood Hills to others looking.

I would recommend Scottsdale Village Square to others. I think that it is well groomed and that the people are very nice and kind to my mother. Could there be better communication between the caretakers and the children taking care of parents? Yes. I think at least monthly phone calls should be made to update on if they're taking their showers, if they're going to meals, and things of that nature.

We would definitely recommend it.Lovely facility. The only drawback was the hilly location, which would have required us to get her a mobility scooter if she had had more interest in going outside very far.

4+. I have had a very good year here. Last year when I had to move, keeping my two little dogs was my first priority and in fact I found Pacific Grove Senior Living on the SPCA website on a list of dog friendly places. I have a nice little studio on the 55Plus level, which is just like living in an ordinary apartment. I do not pay for dining or housekeeping. I buy my own food at Grove Market and use my own vacuum and cleaning supplies. So I do not know first hand what all this bad publicity is about. I do know that the staff is friendly and hardworking and the activities are varied and enjoyable. The best part of living here is participating in the friendly, accepting and lively community of fellow residents.

I would recommend the facility. Mainly based on cost, small size of the memory care unit (=> good level of attention to patients), nice environment, responsive staff. The director of the memory care unit was particularly responsive and helpful. For the cost, we felt that we received very good care.

Management quickly accommodated husband’s physical needs in memory care. Because his dementia was intermittent, he mainly stayed in his room on his computer and listen to his jazz music. His biggest complaint was the food as he has always had a narrow food preference . We finally got the lines of communication opened which rectified the issue.

This is based on my experience of the fit for my husband. His needs for supervision were greater than this large facility could provide with less than ideal staffing ratio. He was not bathed consistently nor shaved daily. Everyone was very kind, though, but some caregivers were not intelligent and one made a bad decision to heat his food in the microwave on a styrofoam plate which melted the edge!!! For #6, my response of 3 is because there was too much stimulation. The day room was too noisy for him and he wasn't capable of participating in activities due to apathy and zero cognitive comprehension.

It’s a paradox. Staff and management are quite friendly. The staff is responsive to requests; management is not. Long-time residents report maintenance problems left unattended to for months or even years. They have grown accustomed to the lack of response. I asked four times for a connection to the free internet but got zero response. The Park Lane holds a monthly Maintenance Chat where residents can speak directly to the Maintenance Director. He promised a fast response (“probably tomorrow”) that never happened. In frustration, I ordered Comcast more than a week later. I find the food generally good. The delay between ordering a meal and its delivery is typically quite long.

I would definitely recommend Heritage Hills Pacifica. I believe they have good care. I wish there was more communication with the family rather than me having to ask. I wish I would have follow up on the hydration protocol and when she had lab work.

We find the staff to be pleasant and helpful when asked and that it is not a huge facility. The location is convenient for our family and the apartment is comfortable for my mother. The lack of outdoor space/ walking area and parking is unfortunate. Pacifica does the best they can to overcome those issues by providing nice, friendly, aesthetically pleasing community spaces, activities, outings and more.

Initial move in went well. No guidance regarding laundry services. No orientation. No buddy system. No response to voice messages. Friendly and helpful staff. Staff checks on resident during day and reminds about meal times. Staff very responsive when approached with questions. Facility recently had a high turnover in staff. Heard there may be care improvements soon.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are nice and rooms are a good size. What stands out is their services and facilities for the cost is a strong value.

They are great, but very busy. Over communicate. Don't wait for them to get back to you. There are also people there who have done very interesting DC things, although that is of course specific to this one location. It seems like the residents of the community are a very interesting mix of people (a few still work, for instance) which I thought was a good reflection on Pacifica and a nice experience for my Mom.

I found my true partner here after my divorce. Would prefer a bath tub, but I understand why there is a step-in shower. Local community centers. I enjoy the scrabble activity but hope to get more involved. I like my privacy and it works out just fine.
