I am still here and enjoying my stay . I am hoping to continue increasing my independence. the staff here always greet you by name, smile and ask how you are and keep you posted about events, meetings and ice cream socials. They help me a lot. Activities have variety, tomorrow we go to the Zoo. We do crafts, we did tie-dye shirts. There is always someone to talk or walk with. There is a place to go to be alone when you need it.

We gave the overall experience a 4 because of the many staff changes. However, what we like the most about the Meridian at Westwood is the friendliness of the staff and we would recommend them to other families.

They were very responsive to family members inquiries We were there often and affirmed the staff often. Some went the extra mile in caring for my mom.

Quiet and almost home like with the focus and that the residence being top priority.

We have a family member who has resided at Pacifica Senior Living, Newhall for a lengthy period of time. Overall, we are very satisfied with our arrangement with this facility. The staff has been wonderful and takes good care of our family member.

I would recommend it for sure. I wish they kept the rooms a little cleaner and it wasn't so pricey, but the rest of the facility is kept clean. I would say it's a wonderful place and they take really good care of the residents. I feel great about my dad being in a safe space with great food and friends.

The nursing staff is A+. Especially [name removed]. Food leaves much to be desired. Breakfast is the only meal that is edible. Lunch and dinner is hardly ever good. Room size is perfect for a single person. Small refrigerator. It would be nice if they could cook in their rooms but they aren't supposed to. There is a struggle to get the facility to transport someone in a scooter but my mom has gone to dinner a few times.

The people are friendly, including residents and staff. Specialty food would be beneficial especially since many seniors have some sort of dietary restrictions.

Two of mom's rings were stolen while she was at this facility, the air conditioning in community areas (not patient rooms) has been out for months! I only found about about this when I spoke with the staff there who continue to tell me that they're "aware and looking into it." When Mom was sent out via ambulance (twice) they sent her without her glasses, nor her current meds lost. The meals are nothing spectacular. The majority of times I have been there, residents are walking the hallways doing laps alone, or watching tv while staff members are on their phones. This place could be worse

They don't really honor the contract residents sign. When my sister moved in her contract said laundry was free. That's one of the reasons we went with them. Most other places charge. 10 months after she moved in they started to charge [fee removed] a month. That's a lot when you are on fixed income. To make it worse they told the residents who decided to do their own laundry they couldn't use the big laundry room on the premises. That was reserved for paying residents laundry to be done. They have a few small areas that have one washer and one dryer that they are allowed to use. When my sister moved in they told us that they raise the rent every year around June. They said they don't raise rent until you have been there for one year. And the raise is 5% a year. Well they raised my sisters rent 8% after 10 months. My sister is going to stay there. But I don't trust anything they say or even write down.

I'm very impressed with the services that have been provided at the Meridian. It gives me great peace of mind knowing my mom is fully taken care of. I love the location and the availability of every medical provider my mom needs within a 1 mile radius. She is able to get to her appointments by scheduling a ride with the provided van driver. I'm happy to see the decor being nicely updated as well. I've mentioned to several people that I am so grateful to have my mom at the Meridian. It's the best place for her. It's affordable and has a great community of seniors. She's made some great friends.

At present, there is a lot of staff turnover at Pacifica, even replacements leaving in just 2-3 weeks. Specific services paid for are not consistently performed, even after I politely chase after them about it.

This is one of the more affordable but clean places around. The staff is caring. Any concerns are addressed right away. Out of all the places I visited, this was the only place to point me in the right direction for financial assistance

There was a confusion regarding the tour hour but we did get to see the important parts. We liked the open concept, the wide spaces and the ample rooms. I will be back to book a room after Christmas!! A

The office staff was great. The rooms are very nice. My dad had a room overlooking the inside courtyard we enjoyed the birds. Getting meds arranged was a bit challenging because they were moving to a new system but the staff was on top of it the whole time.
