Pacifica Senior Living

My mother has been at Pacifica Green Valley for nearly 3 years, and I have been very happy with (nearly) everything, but most of all the care givers. She has been well cared for, is very contented, and we are all happy. There has been a management change (Removed), which is proving to be a positive change. [Removed] has gotten the staffing up and is working to make more changes that will enhance the experience there. I have been in to see her twice, and she was very receptive to suggestions--in fact, she was already in the process of making the changes. I have often said, and still believe that it is the best of this kind of facility and we couldn't be happier. We look forward to working with [Removed] to continue making improvements!

I toured 6 assisted living communities looking for a home for my mother. Brookdale delivered a great first impression. The environment was a good match for my mother's personality. The staff is very friendly and follows through on everything they say they're going to do. The activities and amenities are good quality and fun. The living quarters are bigger than than what the other communities offer for the money and the assisted living services are itemized out in an easy format to understand what you're getting for your money.

I'am very impressed with this community. My mother is getting adjusted to the community, but overall I'am pleased with all they have done for us. The staff is excellent. They really know how to make the residents feel like they are at home. The communication between the staff, and myself is great. This is a community I would highly recommend, it is a great place.

Dad was resistant about moving to an assisted living residence from his home of 66 years. We suggested a two week respite stay and he agreed to try it. At 97 he had taken a few minor falls and we were very concerned about him staying at home alone. After his first week, he was happy with the experience and said he would say on. It has been four weeks now and he says he is very happy with his new living arrangements and has made several new friends. His personality has changed in a positive way. He is more talkative and engaged when we visit and when he comes to family event. The schedule of daily events keeps him active. He has enjoyed singing his whole life and the sing a longs before supper are a great treat. They have also started a chorus since he arrived and he is hopeful that it will be a success. He felt very welcomed. The food is great, too!

The main coordinator who does tours wasn't there the day we looked at the property in person. Overall, it was a positive experience and they answered our questions. I would recommend this community.

I don't think I could have asked for a better community for my mother to live. I wish I could give them a million five stars because of how wonderful everything has been so far. The staff are truly fabulous and continue to go out of there way to make sure she is comfortable and her needs are being met in her living environment. The most important thing is my mom is loving it and is very happy. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in one of the best assisted livings for there loved one.

I assisted my very reluctant and stubborn older sister in finding a Senior Living Community. Atria of Encinitas was the first of 9 Senior Living sites we planned to visit over three days. When we arrived Atria of Encinitas, we were first greeted by [Removed], the Executive Director, who was exceptionally understanding and knowledgeable. She led our tour of Atria. On the tour, we found that each person we passed in the hall welcomed us and expressed pleasure in living at Atria and especially expressed happiness in seeing [Removed]. They all had personal conversations with [Removed] and us, and [Removed] was intimately aware of their personal lives and what activities they were involved in that day. My sister was totally excited about the cleanliness and friendliness of the community and decided immediately that she would be excited to live at Atria of Encinitas and she wanted to move in as soon as possible. We are currently in the moving in process and [Removed] and [Removed], the engineering supervisor, have been most helpful and delightful. Our entire family is extremely relived that my sister found such a positive and warm environment.

My brother has been in Wyndham Lakes Jacksonville, Fl Assisted Living for Two Months, he seems to be happy there.

My loved one is doing okay but is having a hard time adjusting to the changes. I feel that the staff at the Pacifica are doing what they can to make him feel safe. The room that he is in is comfortable and he has everything that he needs. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

I like the way that this community is caring and the staff are very nice. The meals are outstanding. The activiites are great and she does alot of them to help keep her active. I do recommend this wonderful and clean community for families to consider for great care and value.

This is a great community for good care. He likes the staff that is caring. We like that they keep us informed on his progress. The meals are very good and he is happy with the variety. They do offer a good variety of meals This community does have activities that are offered. We would recommend this community for the care and value to other families.

I moved my 80+ year old mother to Monte Vista Village approx. 3 years ago. She was having a difficult time processing the passing of my younger brother, and lived a 3 hour drive away. She was falling into depression and losing interest in her own life. When she told me she was ready to move back to San Diego I was relieved. I started looking for a place for her to live (I have way too many stairs in my house for her to come live with me). I was so fortunate to find Monte Vista Village, a hidden oasis, right in my own neighborhood! I've lived and grown up here my whole life, and have passed by this location countless number of times and never knew it was there. However, I did notice when the time was right, and thought "I'll have to stop by and take a look at this place." It looks very unassuming from the 'outside'... nice brick buildings, some garages on one side, obviously some kind of community housing. But when I walked 'inside' I was very pleasantly surprised to see the beautiful, lush landscaping. Meandering sidewalks passing by a shaded koi pond with benches for sitting; beautiful old trees that have been there for decades providing shaded areas for sitting and enjoying the fresh air, well tended flowering plants and lawns. I couldn't believe all this was 'hidden' away and it was like finding a little treasure. I gathered information from the very helpful, courteous and friendly staff and passed it on to my mother. She said "yes". So I proceeded with the task of moving her back to San Diego. I can't even begin to tell you what a difference this place has made, not only to me and my mom, but the whole extended family. Peace of mind is priceless. I know my mom is happy and well cared for here at Monte Vista Village. Because of the convenient location, I can visit her several times a week if my schedule allows, or less often when I get too busy, and not feel guilty that she's not being 'cared for'. The staff here is so friendly, warm and inviting that they feel like they're a part of 'my family' as well. They provide many opportunities throughout the year for the residents' families to come join the festivities, and they know how to do it right. First class, top notch, yet down home comfortable. They provide many daily activities for the residents to join in on, provide delicious and healthy meals (they even deliver!! My mom loves this!), vacuum, clean and put fresh linens on weekly, and either phone or physically come to the door and check on her if they have not heard from her!!! I feel SO LUCKY to have found this place for my mom. I don't know what other retirement facilities may be like, because I got lucky the first time around and found the right place. I absolutely LOVE the staff at Monte Vista Village... [Removed] always has a warm hug for me and my mom, [Removed] is so lively, perky and quick witted he has me laughing and he always seems to put the right touch on the special decorations at party time, [Removed] has the smile and kindness of an angel and is so tender with the residents, [Removed] is absolutely lovely, as is [Removed], ... I'm so sorry I can't remember the names of all the wonderful staff that makes this experience of aging less scary for me and my family. I want to say "THANK YOU SO MUCH". You are making all the difference in the world to my family and I.

When you begin your search, you really want the environment to embrace your parent. Atria did just that. We let Mom decide and her input was first and foremost. The first thing she noticed was that the Staff was pleasant and that the new environment was safe and clean. The activities were also a tremendous pull for her as she had lost that when she was in her previous rental. The final room she chose fit her new life and she has made it her own. Its hard after 62 years of having Dad make the tough decisions to step up and make all the decisions. Atria is just the right size and we know as a family that we made a great next move for our Mom. We were impressed with [Removed] as well as the facilities. I feel they will be caring and compassionate during Uncle [Removed] stay.

The reviews in January and February of this year by [REmoved] and [Removed], PhD, I find quite contrary to my experience as a resident of Monte Vista Village for the past two and a half years. Of course, there are complaints. Where are there none? But the management here tackles every issue that arises and settles it generally satisfactory. My own experience here has been exemplary. When I first visited this facility, I met that day just a few staff members and residents. I was impressed! Their friendliness and openness won me over immediately. In fact, I wrote out a check as a down payment before I left the premises and moved in shortly thereafter, this after having visited a number of senior facilities in the San Diego area. Granted, I left behind a comfortable home on acreage in the mountains half an hour away to reside in a small studio, but I have no complaints. Since being here, I’ve met, of course, all the staff and most of the residents—and consider myself fortunate to be among them. The food is good—though certainly not French restaurant caliber; yet it is definitely well balanced. And though I’m a bit of a recluse, I’m well aware of the many activities available free to everyone. Just today, residents visited the desert east of here to view the splendid blooming of flowers. Musical entertainment and sing-a-longs are presented on a regular basis. Yes, I love it here!

I go in to different facilities all the time as a home health nurse. I must say Pacifica is one of the most beautiful places around. The staff there is friendly and so attentive to the residents. And the residents are happy there too. So many activities on the calendar.

The people here were great and they were very friendly. I liked the community and it was very clean and no smells to it. I just did not get the feeling that this was the right place for me here. It was just to far.

I like the care here for my mom. she likes the staff and is happy with the attention that she is receiving here. the food is very appealing. They are keeping her busy wth the activities with the other residents. We would be happy to inform others of this community for the great care that is needed for a loved one.

I think they are doing a fantastic job at the Pacifica Senior Living. They have been very attentive to my father. They made the move a smooth transition. We go visit him often, and the place is always very clean. They encourage him to go down for meals and take his meals to his room the days he does not want to go to the dining room. I would highly recommend this community to anyone.
