My parents moved to Heritage Hills in 2008. This has been the perfect place for them. My mom has the library and my dad has the wood shed. There are so many great activities and there is a club room where we had a huge family get together. I'm so pleased with Heritage Hills and all the great people who live here.

We love our free standing home in lovely neighborhood of mature trees. Best of all, we enjoy the close know community of residents and staff where we all feel like family.

I stumbled on this terrific place and just could not leave. Everybody should be so lucky. Great staff and neighbors!

My mom moved into Atria late January 2020, Just six weeks before the COVID lockdown began. She thrived during this time, attending daily exercise classes, playing lots of bingo and meeting friends in the dining room and frequent celebrations. The lockdown has been hard on everyone at Atria, including residents, employees, and family members. The staff has dedicated themselves to keeping the residents safe while keeping them engaged and entertained. [name removed] has gone above and beyond, including dressing up in costumes, serenading from the parking lot, organizing hallway activities and delivering meals to room. She has made herself completely accessible to our family and we text frequently to check on mom or ask a question. She is truly a blessing. Her caregivers [names removed] have provided excellent daily care. We are so grateful for them all. The recent easing of restrictions have been so exciting! Small group exercise classes are back as well as lunches in the dining room. Its not back to normal but they are on their way, which is so wonderful to see.

Great staff, very caring, clean information, extremely helpful. Very proactive during covid-19 to protect the health and safety of the residents.

My 72-year-old mother has resided at Pacifica Senior Living in Escondido for more than five years and I must say that choosing this facility was the best & hardest decision my sister and I have ever made. At first, mom was reluctant to give up her apartment and live among strangers. She thought she was letting go of her freedom but this was far from the truth. We simply needed for someone to monitor her daily medications, prepare healthy meals and do light housecleaning. Mom could no longer do these simple tasks on her own and we were not able to provide the proper supervision. Walking into Pacifica is like walking into a warm-home like environment with many common areas that foster friendship and socialization. There are big comfy chairs, large TVs, a popcorn machine, a hair salon, a chapel, a lil store for necessities, a game room, planting boxes, and lots of outdoor seating with views of the manicured roses. The roses are my favorite. The front desk manager has answered the phone for years and seems to know the coming and going of every resident. No matter when I call, she tells me immediately how my mom is doing and where she is whether it is the dining room, vising with friends or taking a nap. When walking the hallway with my mom, the residents all seem to know her name. My mom feels popular. Residents share tips on the newest walkers & wheelchairs, who the new guy is, and pet the heads of the little dogs following behind. The cleaning staff is wonderful. They seem to have built a special bond with my mom and know exactly how she likes to keep her things. They close the door quickly so my mom's cat doesn't get out. On occasion, mom has asked to call me back because she has a friend over (the cleaning staff). The same is said for the nurses at Pacifica. Medications are provided several times per day by medical professionals. When we take mom away for the weekend, the nurse will pack a bag of her daily pills and instructions on time to take and if food is required. Speaking of food, the meals at Pacifica are terrific, nutritious and plentiful. When grandkids are visiting, the kitchen has made quesadillas, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, chicken noodle soup, or a second helping of dessert on request. We all leave the table full, including those picky teenagers. Guests are always welcome and the grandkids love to visit. They say the place smells normal, not like old people, and there's always lots of food and lots of stuff to do. The calendar is posted with the daily activities including field trips, bingo, movie night, etc. The kids like the WII bowling. Due to the great leadership of Pacifica management, my mom has felt safe and independent. With the managers focus on love and hospitality, my sister and I feel a big sense of relief knowing mom is happy. We recently asked mom if she would like to come live with us and she said, “No thanks honey, I would miss my friends too much.” Thank you, [name removed] and staff, for creating a home environment and loving the residents like family!

My Mom lived at Atria for over 3 years and she loved it. Unfortunately she passed away early in 2019, so my perspective has changed since I'm not ever at the facility in these days of Covid. Until the lockdown for Covid started though, I'd still go visit Mom's friends at the facility and loved interacting with them. Currently I stay in touch through the efforts of the staff with their posts on their Facebook page. It is so wonderful to see Mom's friends in the pictures! And what the staff is doing to keep residents as entertained and safe as possible is a wonderful thing to watch. These times are difficult for all of us, especially for the residents, and the little rays of sunshine that the staff brings I am certain are much appreciated. I have always found the staff in Encinitas to be helpful and respectful to the residents, and honestly concerned with their individual well being. Made my heart happy when I was there more often, and still does from afar.

New owners makes all the difference! The rooms have a beautiful view and are so spacious! The courtyard is nice and quiet. I love how close this community is to everything!

At 96 and wheelchair bound I have found my final residence and look ahead to a few more years of pleasant living. I lived alone for basically 15 years before falling and fracturing a hip. Assisted living was last on my list for places to be. It was the best move I ever made for the times. The entire staff from the Executive Director on down are beyond excellent! Our Chef is a genius, the caregivers and medical techs are exceptional, and every level of workers is the best I have known. I was in a deep funk when I broke my hip and had to go through six weeks of rehab. I did not want to continue in this life and my family feared for my existence. Within two weeks I settled into the routine and have been the most content and happy I have been in years! Atria Rancho Penasquitos literally saved my life for which I am forever grateful. As Patriarch of a 5 generation family in San Diego my excellent care has made all happy along with me. Life is good!

I was at Avila Senior Living At Downtown Slo for a few days. Everything was nice, but I wasn't there long enough to give the activities a try. The staff was wonderful.

[Name removed] was very helpful, she took her time with my friend and was very informative. She went out of her way to help me and my family make the right choice. She is the reason we picked this place.

Having Pacifica as a choice for my wife a comfort in the first place, but with the covid 19 incident, and the facility's response, the value of my decision enhanced.

I can' say enough good words about Pacifica Memory Care! My husband has mid-stage dementia. We had an unusual situation in that at the beginning of the covid lock down, the home my husband was in for less than a month closed, and I had to find a new place for him. Of course he was free of the virus and Pacifica took us in during this difficult transition. He went from being at home in my care, to two different places in less than a month. Pacifica has been great!
