I can’t say enough about this place as far as how bad it is. Main thing being severely understaffed. The DRS seems bothered or annoyed when you try to talk to her about your family members care plan. She always has a tone about her that comes across hateful. I’ve been told a week after positive testing on a resident that staff still hasn’t been tested and only just tested residents. Can’t see my dad to know for sure he is safe. Can’t get straight answers from anyone. Calls go unreturned. Only a handful of aids care the rest just don’t care at all and it is evident in their attitudes.

I have a family member who is receiving care here. At first everything was going fine, then we started having problems with medications not being given and clothes missing. Myself and several members of the family have talked to the Nurse Director, [name removed] about the meds- she seems uninterested, rude, and not alert to what is happening. When a Director of Nurses is clueless like [name removed], the nurses beneath her will be as well. My family and I are discussing taking our family member out of here because the quality of care is poor, medications are not given, and clothes go missing- no one ,not even the leadership knows what is going on. This facility use to be good, but somewhere along the way it has gone wrong. Do not put your family member here.

We were in this community and was treated like no one should be treated. They dropped the ball on lots of things. Was told to get out after medicaid stopped paying and didn't give me enough time to find another community like 2 days only. I just think it was unacceptable for them to be this way I was told I would receive a callback after all this happened and NO call back just a frustrating experience with this community. They said my mom was combative in one report which wasn't true I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I give them 0 stars out of 5

Nothing promised was delivered.

Tried to call on Sunday. The phone had a busy signal all day. My dad was admitted, called director for a sit down to ask questions, my sister and I are being denied info. I'm concerned my father's legal rights are being violated and taking advantage of . There is no communication from [name removed], the director. In fact she had rudely asked me if I was close to my father over the phone when I called her. Wow, Wow, very very unprofessional and very scary for my dad!!!!!

If you want your loved one in a facility where the Administrator instructs her staff to tell family members shes in a meeting if they walk in... put your loved ones here. She will smile in your face and take your money. They don't care about your loved ones. They come in there giggling and dressed like thier going to a cocktail party. Stay away from this place for your own good.

We weren't satisfied with our mother's treatment at this location.

What you see outside is the extreme opposite how staff deal with their residents. Not enough or lazy staffs. Take an unscheduled visit especially unpopular hours and you'll find out the real Oxford Grand.

As stated in the previous review Oxford Grand, Wichita, did not turn out to be an end of life facility for my loved one either. Once care needs change the price climbed rapidly. Soon after your loved one is forced to move because of needing more care that they are unable to provide. Telling you it is an end of life place is misleading because it is not. Overall the Memory unit care is below par. Some of the staff were good and helpful, but the facility was most always short staffed and inept. Many times high school students were assigned to Memory Care with little or no training. My loved one was wet many times because of lack of staff to follow the care plan or to even know what the plan was. There were times my loved one went without being showered for weeks. The facility is lovely, but not always kept clean in Memory Care. The food was not that great either because it was held in warming trays and not served directly after cooking. Activities were okay if your loved one can participate. Otherwise little is geared toward the ones that can't. You are required to pay for all supplies (except toilet paper) and this included rubber gloves for the staff. If your loved one needs Memory Care I would definitely look elsewhere. This place leaves much to be desired.

We were also assured this would be an end of life place for our loved one and it also was not the case. This must be a standard line. Although they had a couple good workers in memory care, they were most always really short staffed and care was lacking because of it. Many times very young untrained high school staff cared for those in memory care. Our loved one was wet many times because of not being taken to the toilet on schedule. Baths were not given on a regular basis. Be advised that your loved one will be charged for all supplies including vinyl gloves and at the first sign that care needs change the price will escalate rapidly. As stated in the previous review, do your homework and don't believe everything you are told regarding number of staff per resident. They are short staffed, care is not as it should be, and the food is not that great in Memory Care. Assisted living seems to take priority over Memory Care in all areas. It is a beautiful facility, but management is inept. [Removed]

My father is currently living at Oxford Glen in Sachse. We moved him from an Assisted Living where he wasn't thriving and left into his room. He has bounced back w/ a desire to get up and go. We love the staff for giving life back to him. This community is amazing we love all the prevention in place to prevent falls. Thank you Oxford Glen!! -Charles Clark-

If you are looking for any kind of "MEMORY" care keep looking. been fighting with this place to do what they contracted to do.(bathing, assistance in dressing) let alone things done on a schedule, that is recommended for memory care patients. Food is awful. (frozen and then reheated)... Turn Over is so fast you wont be able to keep up. Corporate, State Department of Health, Ombudsman so far have done nothing to help me. Place is dirty, And you better inventory every thing you have AND lock it down. It disappears. (Told me my 94 lb mother ate a case of donuts in a 8 hour shift AND a Case of water.) Cant wait to find a place that will do what they say. And I am tired of paying the "NON REFUNDABLE" community fee's at these places that can't even keep my mom clean! Tired of this.
