Options For Senior America

It was a little confusing since the beginning. The first day, A caregiver and nurse came for 4 hours to do an evaluation and I got charged for the 4 hours. Then, the first lady was not a good fit, I would give her a 1 out of 5. Then one day, she said my husband was a handful and she would not be coming anymore. The second lady was very friendly and my husband liked her, but one morning she was 2 hours late and when I called her she said she had slept in. I think they have a lot of improving to do with their staff.

Spoke with this company regarding home health care. Very expensive. But would consider for respite care.

The people from the agency were awesome, Chuck and Donna were very nice. I did have a few issues with the service, both with the caregivers themselves, as well as with billing. They didn't really do a good job of matching us with quality people, and I felt their billing rates were misleading.

My request for 2 hours of care for Saturday and Sunday mornings for my Mom was not compatible with where the caregivers were located nor the number of hours the caregivers wanted to work in one location. This seems to be a theme with multiple providers

I only utilize their services two days out of the week and the lady that comes isn't as efficient as she could be. Everything from the light housekeeping to following simple instructions seems to be really hard for the girl to follow. i feel like she could be more engaging with my dad although I am usually not there when she is. I've instructed her to call em if she has any questions and she has yet to do that so I always have to correct the problem when i get home. I have hopes that things will get better but for now I have to be honest with my rating.

My family never actually started services with Options For Senior America because of different circumstances. My rating is strictly based on my contact with them in search of finding the right agency to help my Aunt. When services were to start the caregiver never showed up and I never received a call or notification as to what was next. After all we decided not to use them and would not.

We have had one of their ladies here for about five or six weeks. The first woman was fine, but she had to have a fill in for a couple of weeks. They have done fine, but one girl was working all night long and then wanted to sleep all day. They did replace that person with a couple of different people and we have yet to see what they will be like. It really depends on who you get to come out, a lot of them want to talk on their cell phone. The organization has been fine to work with and they have been about average in price. Options did send someone out to interview with us before they came to work. The manager seems like a forthright individual.

We didn't use them because they were really slow to respond to my emails. I thought that was odd for a company trying to get my business. If they are that slow to respond to my emails in the beginning what kind of service would I have?

My wife, and I am partially using this home care agency. They were not able to fully provide the type of care giver we want. So we use Options for Senior America,and as well as another agency. The care giver that we use from them is great, she is very good at what she does. Overall I wish they were able to accommodate us better.

The caregiver who was sent by Options was very well suited to working well with elderly people, both by temperament and by training and personal experience. She made a very positive contribution to my mother's last year. Business office was less helpful.

It was an experience. An experience that I found to be not so good. The first day was a no show. The 2nd day they were late making me late for my first out patient physical therapy appointment. The 3rd day I fell in the shower stall after taking a shower. The 4th day no problem. Day 5, we had a substitute because are regular person called out claiming to have hurt her back while cleaning her grandmother's house after leaving my residence. After the weekend, day 6 they sent another substitute. This person talked for two hours, telling us her life story and how she was allergic to cats and left 2 hours early. A short time after she left I received a call from the main office cancelling our agreement because I have too many cats. And they knew how many cats that I had from the beginning. As a result, I had to cancel the rest of my therapy appointments. Now, I had no other choice other than having my daughter from Pennsylvania put her life on hold to take care of me. I do not recommend.

There were many problems. The attitude of the caregiver who would complain to the residents that she was leaving. The food did not comply with a diabetic diet for my husband, no activities , very slow response time. Cannot recommend.

I was not satisfied with the services recieved I would tell a friend to make sure they had a nanny come and to throughly vett the caretaker. I picked this community because it was a in home care situation.

I would tell others that the problem is that they are not very detailed. We ran into a lot of scheduling problems and they were confused on the times/days they were supposed to show up. We liked one of the caregivers and she tried her best and the other we used could care less. We used them for a short amount of time and I would not recommend to others looking.

Options was not a good fit for us. We did not like the care-giver they sent nor did we like some of the policies Options had which we were not informed of before hiring them.

The manager of this office is the most unprofessional, poorly spoken and ill knowledged home care professional I've dealth with. I would rather communicate with his office staff one hundred times over before I deal with him again. [Removed], you have put a very sour taste in my mouth and I will never again consider using your services. I am sure the company is great as there are plenty of great reviews but I won't find out.

They were not very reliable for me. The girl they sent was on time for the first few days, and then late or a no show for the rest of the time. They sent me someone else but it didn't appear that person would want to work all of the shifts I needed. I liked John, and I liked the first girl they sent, but it just wasn't reliable.

I would never recommend this company. Their caregivers lacked the basic skills needed to take care of elderly people. I was told the co. did very thorough screening of their caregivers but very rarely was that obvious. They did have a few good caregivers but they would then leave the co. I got Options through the veterans because my dad served in WW2. I tried very hard to be switched to another co. but every time they had a new person I was asked to please try them before the veterans would switch.

I am very disappointed with the lack of care my loved one received from Options for Senior America. They did not have any patience with my mother and where so quick to give up on her care then provide her with patience and comfort with this new adjustment of caregivers in the home. I have cancelled my services with this company and would not recommend them to anyone.
