We have enjoyed the time so far that we've been here. The staff and residents are friendly. Any repair concerns are handled quickly. Some of the activities offered are bingo, trips around town, games, trivia, and more for the residents to choose from.

The team at Kinship Pointe made the difficult process of my parents' move to independent living so much easier. [name removed] was flexible and so understanding of the difficult decision (taking time not only to give a tour and answer questions but also just sit with us as my parents mused about whether moving at all was the right choice or needed), and when it was time for the actual move, [name removed] was with them for hours helping them get their technology set up and then again later helping them hang or install things that would make their place like home. All the other staff was so friendly as well (house keeping, food service, etc) and wonderful about introducing themselves and making my parents feel welcome. I think it is still hard for them to have downsized from their house and to be in a new place, but kinship pointe helped make it as positive as possible and now my parents also have more social opportunities and are in a safe place should they fall or need immediate help.

Overall, we've been very happy with it. Our loved one seems very content and has said that he's very happy to be there. The staff that we've met have been very friendly and know our loved one by name. They know personal things about him, so they definitely seem to take an interest. It is a very nice facility, although not as modern and brand new as some I have seen. But it's kept up very nicely and not at all run-down. It's very clean. And I think it's more a style that older people are used to and feel more comfortable in - not dated, but not modern.

They were great over there, the directors and nurses were just so caring. Our loved one had Alzheimer's so she really enjoyed the arts and crafts activities.

We are so impressed with this place and so happy we found the right place to care for our father. We tried to have him stay in his house but 24 hr care at home was crazy expensive and the care was really not good or worth it. We have a big family, but as working adults with families of our own we couldn’t handle it even with constant care. We found Teal Creek and it’s close to our homes. He gets his meds on time, feed 3 meals and the care he gets is 10x better than home care. He loved his apartment and doesn’t miss his home. They recently had thanksgiving for all the families and it was amazing!!! They provided everything while still caring for our loved one. The staff is amazing as well as the managing owners. They all served us to spend a relaxing night with our father. To say this place saved us is an understatement! We are so blessed to have found this place and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! So many fun events to enjoy with our loved one too! Cool place, great people, so very thankful!!!!!

Moving Mom into Brookdale has been a blessing as she has really "thrived" there. The staff is wonderful and I know Mom is enjoying life once again.

We went on the tour here and the people were really nice and seemed caring. It was nice and clean. They had lots of daily activities. It was just not modern or up to date. They answered all of my questions. We are just looking around right now.

The community is amazing for my dad the caregivers are attentive and caring. It is clean inside and the grounds are well maintained. He's eating good 3x a day. The activities there he enjoys the music and going to church services. He has a lot of social things which is a change for him. I would recommend this community to anyone looking.

[Removed], who I have been in communication with, has provided a wealth of information on Brookdale, gave a very comprehensive tour of the home, and has been so personable and professional during our discussions in this process. The atmosphere at Brookdale is very positive and supportive. The residents I came in contact with during the tour were truly happy to a part of this community.

Was very pleasant surprised! The owner-operater met with me and explained the history and operation of the Atrium. She greeted numerous residents by name as well as their family & truly cared. The activities and dining were all out in the open atrium. Saw the hair salon, painting class and an ice cream parlor. very nice apartments. Some on the ground floor that opened to patios and grass. So nice for pets. Absolutely no odors. It was all beautiful.

I just love [Removed]. She and her staff make this place so special. Lots of love and activities for all. Everyone seemed so busy and happy to be there. The facility is not the newest, but I don’t think that is important. Great views out the rooms. They only concern that I have, is that they will not accept Medicaid in the event my parents’ funds are depleted.

My mom has lived in the independent living section at Brookdale for about two years now. She absolutely loves it there! She has made many new friends and speaks very highly of the Brookdale staff. According to my mom and from what I have witnessed, the staff members are all very kind, caring and helpful. After visiting other senior living communities, there was no doubt that Brookdale was the place for mom. We are so glad that we chose Brookdale!

Very nice people to work with!!

The tour went well. The community is very clean and nice. The actually apartments were set up like a hotel. From the living room view there is no outside view and it seems dark. The apartment did not have any area for storage.

Brookdale Kearney Northridge has a variety of food choices that I enjoy. I am very satisfied with the community it is well-kept and very clean. They have plenty of activities to participate in. The community also allows therapy animals and I was able to bring my dog. Thank you A Place for Mom for helping me get here!

We will be moving into this community very soon. It has been a pleasant process so far. The staff we met were very kind and friendly. The community looked great, everything was very well maintained. There are nice activities offered. I'am pretty sure we are going to enjoy our time here. This is a lovely community.

Lucille and her staff run an amazing community! They are competent, kind and compassionate. My dad has been sick since he moved in and everyone has been so kind to him and my family. I wished we had found them sooner. Highly recommend

It had a very nice, homey atmosphere rather than a facility feel. The people were given whatever they wanted for breakfast. Just the atmosphere of the place was very friendly. I would highly recommend them. I was very pleased to have my mother there, I felt very secure.

I can not think of anything that The Atrium at Overland Park can improve. Everything the staff has done for us so far has been just fine. My loved one is in independent living, so they offer some services like coming in and cleaning once a week and washing the linens and so forth, but I guess we just expected a little more in that area.
