Oaks Senior Living

My mother-in-law is a resident here. She's getting involved in activities. She's playing BINGO and they took her to see the ballet last week. The food is something they've missed. When you're used to home cooking it's not going to be the same.I think the thing that impressed me the most is how they welcome new residents. They get them involved and make sure they know what is going on even if it's posted everywhere. We also liked that the entire building is locked. My mother has dementia and it gives me peace of mind that if she decides to wander she can explore and won't get out. The only place she can go outside is to the garden which she hasn't been able to utilize because the weather hasn't been that nice. I also liked that when I toured everything was so nice. The building is older but they keep it in very good repair.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. It also is very close to us so that we would be near my in laws. The people were very nice to us and they were helpful. There really was only one complaint and that was the price.

The staff here is doing the best that they can with mom. Things have changed very quickly. They are keeping mom's room and community clean for her. They do have a lot to do for the residents that I like. I also like that they are close to us.

The care is good here for my mom. She is happy with the meals. The staff are very nice and helpful. They do offer activities that are offered, she does like the small trips. She is happy at this clean and well taken care of community. We would recommend the care and value of this community to other families.

I like this community for great care for my mom. The staff is always nice and friendly. They are helpful for my mom's special diet. They have activities that are offered to her. She has good therapy. I am happy to know that she is in great care. She has met nice friends that she has enjoyed meals with. I would highly recommend the care and value for other families who are needing excellent care.

I just moved my 93 year old father into The Oaks at Post Road. We are very pleased with the Staff , Care etc. He is very happy there.

Everyone is so caring and helpful. Do not know what I would do without these people. Thank you!

My parents are doing very well here at this community. It is still a transitional period for them, but overall I know they are in good hands. My parents have made little improvements since moving here. The staff is good, and they have been helpful and kind. There are activities offered for them when they are ready to participate. I know they are being cared for very well. Everything has worked out well for us, and I would recommend this community.

Everything has been going terrific here. My loved one is doing as many activities as she can do. They have so much going on here. The food is good, but it could be better with the variety. The community is always kept clean and neat. I would recommend them.

I was worried about leaving my husband for the first time since his stroke to go on a trip BUT the caregivers at the Oaks at Post Rd were extremely good to him. He raved about how nice everyone was. While I was gone on my trip, some family members visited him there and they all commented about how impressed they were with the facility and the staff. I can't say enough good things about this Assisted Living. All of my fears are gone and I know I now have a place for respite care for my husband.

My Mom has Lewy Body Dementia and The Oaks at Post Road does a great job with her needs. The staff is so compassionate and caring, it makes her feel at home, I moved her from New York (where she lived for 80 years) to Georgia and the Chef, [Removed] has accommodated her northern eating needs - thanks [Removed]. Her room is cleaned weekly and they dispense her medicine and the activities director, Michelle is young and full of energy and takes them out to eat and for rides and takes care of their individual needs and makes sure they exercise and laugh. My Mom loves music and they music a lot which she attends. I would highly recommend The Oaks at Post Road.

My loved one is doing great here, he really likes it. He has adjusted very well to it, and I'am pleased. They have a wonderful staff here, they have been very friendly. I know he is being cared for well here. He has gone on one of the outing outside the community. They do offer nice activities. The food is good, he enjoys the meals. I know he is safe and in a good place. I would recommend this community highly.

This is the 3rd senior living facility that my mom as been in and is by far the best. The staff is very friendly and quick to come whenever she needs assistance. Also, there is always something going on for her to do.

We have only been at The Oaks for a short time but it seems that our mother is settling in nicely. She looks forward to each day and keeps herself busy helping others. Makes her feel that she has a purpose. Thank you to The Oaks staff who have a passion for older people who don't need to be alone. They love on these elderly people and give them a reason to get up in the morning.

I cannot say enough good things about this community. My mom likes living there. The food is good and they offer healthy choices. I know the owners and they take a personal touch with the residents. There is a lot of one on one care with the residents and if additional help is needed they make sure your loved one receives it. I would recommend this spotless small community.

I am so happy to write this review. Morningside has been a serious blessing to me. My mom lost my dad 2 years ago and then my sister 6 mo ago. That all being said, it is just me now taking care of my 90 year old mother. Roselyn, Bonnie, Juanita, Diane and all the others have made this transition great for my mom and myself. The food is excellent, the care is genuine and they listen. This is a must for me. Thank you guys at Morningside for being so......wonderful and caring.

I recently relocated my mother to this new community in Woodstock. I have been thrilled by the personal attention and concentration on detail provided to my mother. The neighborhood concept provides more intimate watchful oversight for her. Having local ownership allows questions and concerns to be addressed quickly.

My parents were residents at Morningside for nearly one year. I find the staff at Morningside more than caring, skilled and professional. When my dad became ill and required care in the hospital then nursing home, the staff continued to visit him and show genuine concern. After realizing that my dad would not be returning to Morningside because of the seriousness of his health, I moved my mom into my home. Now that my dad has now past (four months ago), I now need care for my mom; more than I can provide. My mom needs to be in a place where she can be around her piers, feel safe and feel loved and I know that that place is Morningside of Conyers. I will be moving her back very soon because I know she will be well taken care of.

Dogwood Forest has been a life saver for me. I was trying to take care of my elderly cousin when her husband died. I visited several facilities in the Cumming area and decided on Dogwood. I got a warm friendly feeling from the staff when I did a tour. The next time I stopped by they remembered my name as well as my 94 year old cousins. She is treated so well and I don't have to worry about her anymore. She is happy and is in really good hands there.
