Very beautiful facility Very caring staff Impressed with Memory Care Director and Activity Director, [Removed].. she is the reason I decided to place my husband there, her enthusiasm, loving, caring, very devoted to what she does. also - caregivers... all very devoted to residents, great attitudes, even with many messy situations.

Amazing facility. Didn't really like the 16 page point system for personal care and medication charges. No cost certainty.

They staff have been very friendly and helpful to my mom, who has had a difficult adjustment to her change in condition and living place. They take good care of her! A beautiful facility.

Sunrise has been great. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Everyone calls mom by name and you can tell it is their policy that all staff is to greet and be friendly to all residents and visitors This particular Sunrise is a bit smaller and has a more home like atmosphere than all of the other places we toured. It only took mom a few days to get in the routine and she is so much happier that she was at home with a caretaker where she felt like she was in prison. The rooms are great. The food is good. They have activities all day long if she choses to participate or she can go back to her room and rest. They have a computer system where everything is logged so you know what has or has not been done. We are very pleased and mom is feeling so much better which is very exciting.

This a relatively new facility (opened mid-2016). Beautifully appointed common areas, inside and out. Max 45 residents, with varying degrees of assistance needed. Friendly staff AND friendly residents.

My dad has been there about a month. I have found the staff to be friendly, helpful and positive. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Everyone is super friendly and very helpful during our initial tour and the whole move in process. Mom has only been there for 4 days but so far the care has been excellent and she is happy

The people that run the Sunrise of Tustin are amazing. My father in law is receiving good care from the staff and caregivers. It definitely feels like home to him. The place is very clean and well maintained. The meals are good, we had thanksgiving dinner there with him and everything was very tasty. I live the family like atmosphere.

The task of choosing an assisted living facility for one’s parent is an awesome responsibility and can be very traumatic. Therefore, I find it imperative that I write a review of Sunrise Oakland Hills so you know it is one of the best elder care places in the East Bay. The staff of Sunrise Oakland Hills is amazing. From the very beginning Cheryl, the Director of Sales, made us feel welcome and was so friendly to our family. Most notable is that she maintains her relationship with the families during their whole stay, not just until you “sign up”. The leadership team is always available to me and communicates regularly, especially Justyne the nurse, Graciella the Assisted Living Coordinator and my dad’s primary Care Manager Marcella. It is a well-organized place with protocol in place for every situation. Their staff training is outstanding, including for their volunteers. Respect for their residents is primary, but additionally every staff member is full of love, patience, kindness, thoughtfulness, compassion and enthusiasm. The affection they all show to my 101 year old dad warms my heart and makes me feel confident that he’s in the perfect place, even though he’s far away from me. I may only be able to visit once a month, but in between I know that he’s being well taken care of and treated with the upmost respect. I am so appreciative of everything the care managers do for him: repeating themselves until he hears and understands, spending time sitting with him and letting him tell stories of his past (his greatest pleasure, long before his dementia began), encouraging him to be as independent as possible by doing as much for himself as reasonable, knowing what he prefers to eat and never hurrying him when he takes a long time to finish, checking on him often to be sure he hasn’t fallen, making sure he is shaven, clean and well dressed, etc etc etc. Knowing my dad is safe and that his twilight years are the best they can be means the world to me. I feel like he is respected for the awesome man he is, even though his true “self” is now somewhat hidden. It seems like the Sunrise staff recognizes what an amazing man he is, full of integrity, intelligence, tolerance, open-mindedness, humor and love. I highly recommend you consider Sunrise Oakland Hills when it is time for you to make this heart-wrenching decision.

Oakmont was there for our family. Oakmont was there for us in every way imaginable. Words can not express our gratitude. Our parents are settled in now and very happy in their new home.

My husband needed short term respite care and Sunrise provided that care in a clean and friendly environment. The staff is attentive without being invasive. Meals are included and are varied and tasty.

My sister is doing very well and it content and very happy here. She says it is the perfect place for her. It is a large community with 8 levels and with many people to meet. I am very grateful for the community and glad it worked out for my sister. This is also a convenient place for me to visit her.

Sunrise was an excellent choice for our father who had both declining physical health and memory issues. People were patient with him and supportive of the family. He was there four months until his death and it made such a difference to know he was professionally cared for and that the facility itself was really focused on providing a community experience rather than a hospital feel.

My parents are pleased with the staff at this new community. They have been welcoming and helpful. The community is well done and decorated. The maintenance is great. The food is great and the dining room is open from seven to seven. They offer a lot of activities. This is a smaller community and I would recommend it.

My experience with the Oakmont of Concord has been good so far. The place is always kept very clean as well as the room I am in. The staff are all very helpful and have made me feel at home. I have no complaints so far, I would definitely recommend them to anyone

I could not thank the staff enough for all of the help they provided me while my mother was in there care. They always made sure she was comfortable and that her needs where being accommodated as best as possible. They also helped me immensely with setting up her hospice and helping me get everything organized for her medical needs. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking into retirement.

I got to meet the staff who were super nice. As I looked around keeping in mind my mom's taste and likes, this would not be the place where my mom would want to go. The staff were engaging with the residents while I was there. In the end we did not get a homey feeling.
