My Mom has lived at Oakmont of Montecito for over 2-1/2 years. The esthetics are beautiful and comfortable and the staff treat the residents like family. The dining room uses cloth napkins and table cloths, which feels more like a restaurant than a assisted living residence. My Mom has commented positively about the varied food selections and quality. (One of my Mom’s favorite is the Eggs Benedict on weekends.) My Mom is enjoying a mostly independent life here, and my sisters and I are relieved to know that she can get help at any time if she needs it. And more importantly, that she is physically and mentally stimulated with the wide variety of activities and outings. My Mom has made friends here. The management keeps the residents well informed and involved. They keep the apartments and public areas clean and Covid protocols continue to be re-enforced keeping infection rates low!! It’s a safe, caring and dignified environment for my Mom to live out the rest of her life.

I was asked to run for the resident council. Has a few things completed- emergency pendant checks for accuracy. Garbage picked up outside of room.

Friendly and warm people. Clean rooms, fun things to do. Shopping and fundraiser for children ( The needy ones) for Christmas. Lot's of planned things.

Oakmont of Montecito is hands down the best choice for our relative. Options range from independent living with your own apartment all the way to memory care. Lots of fun activities and outings. Husband says he would definitely live there! They go all out for special holidays and bring in musical guests and speakers. Movie theater, gym, library, heated pool and more. Very caring staff.

May experience has been great. The staff is friendly and easy to access. Activities and many and diversified.

What is very important is the friendship and the way ( Marketing Staff) go out of their way to help and please.

Montecito is unique. It offers Assisted Living apartments up to 1,600+ sq ft with full kitchens, laundry rooms, and fireplaces. It has dedicated spaces for every conceivable purpose whereas most other senior living facilities use the same space for multiple, sometimes conflicting, activities. Montecito has 4 dining rooms, a beautiful swimming pool, a Ballroom, multiple parlors, wide hallways interspersed with lounges, an exquisite wood paneled library with fireplace, a Billiard Room, card room, multiple other large activity rooms, a theatre with raked seating, and it's all adjacent to expansive Newhall Park, offering a lifestyle experience unavailable at any non-CCRC senior living community we're aware of. And yet, all that is secondary to the quality and stability of the leadership team that operates this incomparable month-to-month rental community. (It also has an unusually high percentage of male residents.) There are fundamental reasons Montecito always has a waiting list.

My father is [Age Removed] and was living in his own house independently. in 2019 he fell and broke his hip. Was hospitalized for surgery and eventually came to live in our home for support. We had a wonderful part time caregiver but after 2 years, it was time to find a place for Dad. We toured a few facilities and chose Oakmont of Montecito. Some of the reasons for our decision include the location (nearby/convenient to us), the facility (beautiful, clean, and updated), the staff (all so friendly and hospitable), and the care provided (assist with ADLs, nurse oversight, healthcare services provided at facility, transport services to doctor appointments, etc.). The residents are all happy and friendly. Though a difficult transition for Dad to admit he couldn't live independently in his own home, everyone strived to make him feel welcome and a part of the community. And for me, as the nurse in the family, I appreciate Montecito and relieving some of the burden on my shoulders.

It is not easy, no matter the reason, to divorce oneself from the comfortable life you've experienced in the home you love. We went through that experience and were led bly friends to Oakmont of Montecito. Montecito provides the essentials of enjoyable life....friendly, interesting residents; caring, trained staff; wonderful activities; and comfortable, well-cared for grounds and apartments. Of course the essential and needed care provided residents is available with the well qualified staff including on-site nurses. Montecito is our choice for a better life now.

Clean Professional staff Quality atmosphere (Food is ok not fabulous)

My Mom has been at Montecito for about 4 years now, and we're very happy with the services and staff there. Covid has presented some challenges for retirement communities of course, and Montecito has managed it all very well. The staff always has a smile and a worm hello for everyone. The grounds and building are well maintained, and reflect pride of ownership. It provides great peace of mind knowing that my Mom is at home at Montecito.

The incredible staff at Montecito has been welcoming, helpful and supportive for Mom and the rest of my family. There are lots of activities and great food!! The property itself is warm and comfortable yet modern and the maintenance crews are very responsive to resident needs. Care staff is incredible, personable and quick to respond to our needs as well. We are very happy that we chose Montecito.

Absolutely love staying living here. The activities are so much fun and the entertainment for the happy hours are so great. I’m always able to get some amazing food from the happy hours as well. It’s great being able to watch movies in the movie theater too.

Good food. Always happy to stop by the bistro for fresh baked cookies. Great exercise classes to start my day as well. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are always great to go to. I enjoy the food a whole lot.

Clean, well run, with a great caring staff and a nice variety of activities.

My 90-year old Aunt recently moved to Ivy Park and I've been hugely impressed with the degree of care and support they've given her. The exec director [name removed]has gone out of his way to make her transition a smooth one,. Thank you [name removed] and all the staff at Ivy Park.

My mother moved in a few days ago for respite care. Crescent Landing Garden Grove made the transition go smoothly. [Name remove] and [name removed] were available when we had questions. It is very easy to get in contact with management. We met several of the caregivers. All were welcoming and friendly. It’s never easy to take this step with a loved one. We are happy that my mom is somewhere where the staff truly cares about the residences.

The staff is good. My loved one has not complained about the food, and is happier when they have activities, such as Bingo. They always have a list with different activities. It's a very nice community, and it's close to home. I would highly recommend A Place for Mom.

The caregivers and staff are great with the residents. They truly understand how to treat someone with this disease. They are nice and caring and patient. They listen to us too when we are frustrated and anxious. The monthly meetings for the relatives is going to be very beneficial for me. The first meeting was very good and I’m sure there will be more joining us after the holidays. The food is excellent and the activities are many and varied. So nice.

Putting your loved one in assisted living is a really tough decision. But when it's in a place where the people genuinely care about the people they're serving, it makes it better. The caregivers at Ivy Park are lovely people. The meals are consistently good. They offer a lot of activities. It's expensive, but they do a lot for your loved one.
