Nice facility. Salesperson was late to appointment.

Pleasant medium sized community with a homey feel. Staff was friendly. Seems like most of the residents need a higher level of care than my mother does currently and activities and amenities are geared to that level so may not be a good fit for her now. I liked that they match the same care giver with the same patient on each shift.

We toured at Sunrise Villa and loved it. It's a very cozy community with fireplaces and nice sitting areas. However, the rooms were smaller than we would have liked and they type of care my loved one needed at the time was more intensive than they were able to provide.

it is too far from doctors, they don't have anyone to help her up if she falls.Price is ok but Just not a good fit. people are great there

I went on a tour here and the staff was nice and helpful. They answered all of my questions and concerns. It was just so small and didn't have room to move around. It looked clean. It just wasn't a good fit for my husband. I would recommend families tour this community before choosing a place.

I looked at Sunrise for my loved one, and I thought that the community was okay. The staff was very nice and helpful, but there just didn't seem to be that many amenities here, and the food wasn't very good. It's an older community, which is fine, but the apartments were a little small, and just didn't seem as nice as we were hoping.

I toured here when looking for a place for my dad. The facility is very nice and new but the price was out of our budget. It’s a beautiful building, everything is brand new and everyone has their own private rooms. It’s not full either so no one has to double up in rooms or anything like that. The cleanliness was excellent while I was there, though I haven’t seen it since. The people are very nice there as well. But there’s an initial buy-in that you have to pay and it was very pricey. If it hadn’t been so expensive we may have chosen them. The only thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t have an activities director and I think that’s an important thing to have because these residents need something to do so they aren’t just sitting there bored. I think maybe they didn’t have one, though, because their number of residents wasn’t that high.

I toured Sunrise at Palos Verdes for my mother, and I thought that it seemed to be a very nice community. However, they did not concentrate on memory care here, and that is really what we needed for my mother. We decided to go with another community because Sunrise was not able to meet our needs.

I toured Sunrise while looking at living options for my loved one. I did like Sunrise because it was much better than the facility that she was in before. It is a nice, large facility, but I had looked at some other communities, and I didn’t feel it was nearly as clean as some of those.

This is a very nice community and the staff did a great job showing me around. They were informative and answered all my questions the problem was that they were not set up to do Respite care on a regular base. They were not able to accommodate me with the dates I needed as they had no availability

My mother has recently made the move into this community and so far things are going alright for her. She has made the adjustment and is slowly getting acquainted with all of the residents in her new living environment. I have been pleased with the staff and am comfortable with the quality of care they have been providing her. Overall it has been a great place and I would recommend it to anyone.

The entrance was not as secure as was expected. The community dog (loose in the lobby) though small barked at visitors. One guest in the memory care facility asleep (head down on table) in the dinning room.

Beautiful grounds and they have an outdoor heated swimming pool. They take a lare buy in.They had no rooms available to show.

I think when you initially sit down with the directors they should be more open and up front about what to expect and not paint a rosy picture. The care could improve by consistent staff. The aides who work with my mother closely do a wonderful job.When I ask her about the food she said it tastes all the same but she eats it. I think the main issue is with the administration and not the staff members. At this point I am unsure if I would recommend Oakmont of Carmichael.

This community was nice and the staff was friendly. We liked the food and they offered a good variety and options for special dietary needs. We did have a problem with getting the wrong medication delivered so I felt this was not a good situation and we decided to move.

At the time that we toured the Sunrise of Walnut Creek, there was a very bad smell. It was more towards the locked down area. The memory unit was sad and gloomy, and after touring we decided it was not a good fit for my mother in law.

When I toured this location for my mother I had realized that they mainly focused on memory care and that it was for more sever stages of memory loss than what my mother had. It had a very institutional and hospital feel to it and I could tell this was not the place where my mom needed to be. The staff where all very friendly though and gave us lots of great information on there establishment.
