My mother has been a resident for approximately 3 years. Due to special dietary and health issues, she has her meals in her room. We constantly have to work with the staff to get her orders right and on time. However, on the plus side the caregivers (shower assist) and housekeeping staff are very nice. Mom calls them friends and there seems to be minimal turnover. Being "apartment bound" it is nice to have this friendly contact for her. We have gotten to know some of the residents as well, they all seem to be well cared for and most are friendly.

Liked facility, very bright, nice staff, nice rooms, good view of the city, no exercise equipment, a bit off the beaten path

Beautiful grounds inside and out. Rooms very nice, clean and spacious. It was hard to gauge how my mother feels about a place since she likes every place she last sees the best. It is a little over expensive (the cheapest rooms--the studios--are too small to fit my Mom's desired furniture), and medication management costs are based on the number of medications (up to 6 at one price, $15 a day more for 7+). Transportation for medical appointments in presently only on one day a week at a set time, and only within a 10 mile radius.

This was my second favorite. The only thing that would cause me pause is the fact that it is located in Salinas. I'm not sure about the safety of Salinas and the attractiveness/feel of the area. The community itself is very nice and I had a very comfortable feeling about the community and the units themselves. Additionally, I think there were good options for apartments with nice views. I thought the newly renovated dining room and some common areas were very attactive. The other common areas are a bit dated, but the individual units themselves had a very good feeling about them. I liked the idea of more choices for meals and restaurant style dinning.

Both these facilities back onto a nature preserve, deer roam the grounds outside the fencing. Limited patio area. 1 bedroom was the most spacious I've seen so far, and a huge plus was bathroom door from Living room, another door from bedroom. Upshot here, when one is resting, one doesn't have to go thru bedroom to get to the bathroom -- hurray.

The director was really accessible and make the conversation feel personal and attentive. pets ok

One of my two favorites. The residents and staff appear very happy; I spoke with some residents and they are pleased with treatment, food, rooms and common areas, activities.

I saw it on April 1st. The rooms are large and very nicely laid out. Great views. Nice location.

Very nice, small size apt. 780 sq. ft. but nice layout Good food. Flexible eating times, 7 - 7. Park outside - no charge. About 14 mi. to Good Sam - too far for shuttle.

Spoke with the director. Very nice place. New this year. Nr. St Josephs Med Ctr. Great location for Mom to relocate to. $4000+/mo. Only 4 residents in the Alz unit so far.

Nice area, building in nice setting. Some decent apartment options, though small. Limited options for doctors and one dentist nearby. No transportation available to doctors.

Loved the facilities and all the amenities. Confusing on their charges and the 'point' system. Yearly increase.
