We are super happy with everything. The only complaint he has had is the food. The facility does know that there are complaints and they are working on improving things. The care and the people have been wonderful. I would recommend to others looking depending on what you loved one needs.

My cousin and I toured this facility with [name removed] in sales as a potential spot for my aunt who needs memory care. We loved the place and the employees. They made us feel like family and very comfortable that they can care for her. I believe my cousin is in the process of finalizing my aunt's move in. I look forward to visiting her there.

There are a lot of things about the facility we like and my dad is happy here. The facility itself is very clean. One that that really upset me is that if your loved one has to go to the hospital, they send them to Kingwood. So if you have a preference on hospital, they will not accommodate that.

They were very caring and very concerned. My loved one passed away while he lived there, and they showed their concern and asked if there was anything they could do to help. Everyone was very friendly. It was relatively clean, but the carpet had some stains, and sometimes messes would take a couple of days to be cleaned. It's an older facility too, so it's harder to keep clean and/or look clean. But overall, I think it was a good value.

We chose Atria Kingwood because of the beautiful welcoming concept when you pull up to the facility. It is beautifully decorated and made us feel comfortable when we walked in. There is a big great room with a piano and a lot of plants and the staff are very friendly even when you are just looking. My moms room is very spacious and comfortable as well. She does complain about the food, they have had a couple of different chefs come in and it is getting better and improving. I would highly recommend.

I would tell others that this specific community is a great place to check out. The staff has been good to work with. The community allows pets. The rooms are adequate for the residents and some of the rooms have small patios.

We have had a great experience at Atria Kingwood. It is a great place, especially for people who can take more care of themselves. If they cannot help themselves, I do think you would have to look elsewhere as the staff here are not actual doctors or nurses, they are techs. The staff members here are all very caring and have been great with my parents.

I would want others to know that when we went there they said she could stay here until the end of life, she was in memory care. That did not end up being the case. She was not even here 2.5 months and she had a fall. They called me and took her to the ER and took her right back to the facility. They did not even call me to tell me she was back at the facility. I was unable to talk to my mother when she was in the facility. We had issues with medications and she contracted a yeast infection over the bottom half of her body. It always smelled like urine in the room. We took her to a hospital and she had a severe bladder infection. The staff members were so young here and seemed more like babysitters, I think they needed more training. We went to the facility and got her furniture out after she had passed and they told us they would not charge us. They did charge us and it took FOREVER to get it back. I would not recommend this facility at this point in time unless they changed their staff members.

Nice location, easy access, flat terrain so easy for my mom to get around, knowledgeable and very nice staff. Waiting on pricing.

The staff at Camlu are very friendly. It's really a great value and the community fit my mother's budget. The communication has been okay. I talk to my mother and she fills me in on everything. So, I would say its adequate. My mother really enjoyed the activities offered.

Beautiful property, friendly professional staff & employees.

I toured this facility, wonderful place. I want to place my family member here, but he is not to this level as of yet. I did receive a lot of great information, so then when the time comes it won't be so stressful on all of us. Barton House was so helpful, and everyone there cares. You can tell in the first few moments. Everyone there seems to be in great hands.

Questions about operation of 2nd shift and weekend when management is not around. On the whole, staff is very efficient with residents, kitchen is clean as are the restrooms. I'm very fond of management as they act on many questions/complaints

I took a tour of this facility and it seemed good. The staff was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable but the building itself was on a busy street, which is something I wasn’t a fan of. They also had different times for eating, so not everyone ate at the same time. They had plenty of activities and everything seemed to be pretty clean. Ultimately, it came down to the location of the building and the fact that it just didn’t fit our specific needs.

Things are going okay for me here. The staff needs a little more control but every place needs that so I can’t complain. The food is really good and it’s really nutritious. They have a few activities and they keep everything clean. It’s really a beautiful place, I’m really happy. I think overall they’re doing very well.

I wanted to tour here and wasn’t able to when Hurricane Harvey hit but I wanted to say that the lady that had offered to give me a tour (whose name I can’t remember, unfortunately) was very nice. Despite the fact that they had already evacuated their residents, she was willing to give me a tour so I could see what everything looked like. Unfortunately, before I was able to take that tour, they flooded. But she was so kind and even offered to help me find a different place for my dad to go.
