We chose Atria Kingwood because of the beautiful welcoming concept when you pull up to the facility. It is beautifully decorated and made us feel comfortable when we walked in. There is a big great room with a piano and a lot of plants and the staff are very friendly even when you are just looking. My moms room is very spacious and comfortable as well. She does complain about the food, they have had a couple of different chefs come in and it is getting better and improving. I would highly recommend.

I would tell others that this specific community is a great place to check out. The staff has been good to work with. The community allows pets. The rooms are adequate for the residents and some of the rooms have small patios.

We have had a great experience at Atria Kingwood. It is a great place, especially for people who can take more care of themselves. If they cannot help themselves, I do think you would have to look elsewhere as the staff here are not actual doctors or nurses, they are techs. The staff members here are all very caring and have been great with my parents.

I would want others to know that when we went there they said she could stay here until the end of life, she was in memory care. That did not end up being the case. She was not even here 2.5 months and she had a fall. They called me and took her to the ER and took her right back to the facility. They did not even call me to tell me she was back at the facility. I was unable to talk to my mother when she was in the facility. We had issues with medications and she contracted a yeast infection over the bottom half of her body. It always smelled like urine in the room. We took her to a hospital and she had a severe bladder infection. The staff members were so young here and seemed more like babysitters, I think they needed more training. We went to the facility and got her furniture out after she had passed and they told us they would not charge us. They did charge us and it took FOREVER to get it back. I would not recommend this facility at this point in time unless they changed their staff members.

Nice location, easy access, flat terrain so easy for my mom to get around, knowledgeable and very nice staff. Waiting on pricing.

The staff at Camlu are very friendly. It's really a great value and the community fit my mother's budget. The communication has been okay. I talk to my mother and she fills me in on everything. So, I would say its adequate. My mother really enjoyed the activities offered.

Beautiful property, friendly professional staff & employees.

I toured this facility, wonderful place. I want to place my family member here, but he is not to this level as of yet. I did receive a lot of great information, so then when the time comes it won't be so stressful on all of us. Barton House was so helpful, and everyone there cares. You can tell in the first few moments. Everyone there seems to be in great hands.

Questions about operation of 2nd shift and weekend when management is not around. On the whole, staff is very efficient with residents, kitchen is clean as are the restrooms. I'm very fond of management as they act on many questions/complaints

I took a tour of this facility and it seemed good. The staff was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable but the building itself was on a busy street, which is something I wasn’t a fan of. They also had different times for eating, so not everyone ate at the same time. They had plenty of activities and everything seemed to be pretty clean. Ultimately, it came down to the location of the building and the fact that it just didn’t fit our specific needs.

Things are going okay for me here. The staff needs a little more control but every place needs that so I can’t complain. The food is really good and it’s really nutritious. They have a few activities and they keep everything clean. It’s really a beautiful place, I’m really happy. I think overall they’re doing very well.

I wanted to tour here and wasn’t able to when Hurricane Harvey hit but I wanted to say that the lady that had offered to give me a tour (whose name I can’t remember, unfortunately) was very nice. Despite the fact that they had already evacuated their residents, she was willing to give me a tour so I could see what everything looked like. Unfortunately, before I was able to take that tour, they flooded. But she was so kind and even offered to help me find a different place for my dad to go.

The views from the rooms where not that great. The feel was more hotel than residence.

Mom seems to be doing fine here. She has settled in and has adjusted as well as she can. She is doing activities that she can. The staff is been really good here very friendly and caring and very helpful when needed. The community is always clean and well maintained. I would recommend anyone to stop by and take a tour of the community.

My loved one has recently made the move into this community and so far I have no complaints of how things had been going for him. He has had a few health problems but other than that the experience has been pleasant for him. The staff have done a great job at staying organized in his care plan and are always attentive to his needs. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone interested.

My brother likes living here. He is starting to enjoy his somewhat independence. I think if he were more aware of activities and events going on he would attempt to join in, however, the only place that they are posted is in the common area and if you don't tend to visit there you wouldn't know. The staff is nice very helpful they do have an escort service to help residents if needed go to the dining area which my brother uses. He loves the food.
