I had a tour with them. For the price they’re charging per month, not worth it.

This is the worst place ever to send the elderly - they will talk a great talk but cannot live up to expectations. The food is the absolute worst, cleanliness is terrible, and the care givers do not care about the quality of care they give to the elderly. From a dirty dining room and silverware, to mishandling of medications, to slow responses when called, to even letting people lay in soiled garments because they would not take them to the restroom. I drove 16 hours straight to rescue my parents from this place. The management is more concerned about putting on a "good show" to new people, that they do not take care of the current residents. Tenants Beware!

A bit out of our budget and traffic flow in New Tampa is terrible

the apartments are nice, but the staff is very lazy, what you can expect here is [Removed] errors, excessive falls with fractures, lazy staff that will ignore your loved one going so far as too yell at them for needing to go to the bathroom, not being sent to the hospital unless staff nurse is on duty if not they will have to wait sometimes for days before being sent out with major change of conditions. the director of resident care has no idea what she is doing, such as telling non medical staff to give glucose tabs when a resident is complaining of symptoms of hyper glycemia, stay away from this place if you care about your family at all. horrible horrible place, [Removed]and lazy. If I could rate them negative stars for quality of care I would.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE< avoid this place at all cost! staff is lazy and uncaring, they treat the patients like furniture no as people. The director of resident care is completely ignorant about healthcare. The patients are not being changed or given showers. I have seen patients being dragged away from the dinning room while they are still trying to eat with staff not even bothering to ask if they are done and WANT to leave. The only people who seem to know what they are doing and actually care about the patients is the director of activities ([Removed]) and the staff nurse ([Removed]). I have talked with many other family's of the patients and they have similar complaints about their loved ones not being changed or given showers, being given the wrong meds, falling and getting hurt. Avoid this place at all cost.

We removed our parents from this facility because they felt as if management was simply treating them, as well as most of their employees as morons. Upper management had their picks as to which residents they acknowledged, comforted, or even showed concern to. Most of the time you could find Director [Removed] along with Dining Service Director [Removed] out back smoking and running down any employee and selected paying resident. My mother informed me of what she'd overheard while exercising around the building. They had also informed me of the rate at which the Afro-American staff is terminated. I found it alarming. It seems to me that Corporate would noticed the high turnover rate and stepped in. But, no such luck. The month of August alone three of my parents friends and previous neighbors moved out too. They have loyal employees leaving and transferring to other properties. Residents with years in Heritage Woods, whom loved to call it home, leaving. Dedicated employees with more than 15 years tenure released without probable cause. Dedicated newly hired staff fired as well. What may work for some, most definitely didn't hold well with my parents.

They claim to be an Alzheimers facility however when certain Alzheimer's behavioral issues arise, it is my opinion that they do not know how to properly handle them! Their treatment is to over medicate the patient (in turn this landed my father in the ER) Our experience was Not what they portray to be at all!! I would not recommend this place for your loved ones with Alzheimer's/dementia. There are many stages to the Alzheimer's disease and in our experience at Somerford Place they did not do their job properly and have tried to sweep it under the rug!

Please DON'T fall for their lies! If you have dementia, you are evicted.....end of story! [removed] They DO NOT have a memory ward and they do not care about your Legacy, your dignity, or you as a person. You deal with everything ALONE as your family looks to move you after your eviction notice! [removed]

Not impressed. Most of the medical assistants are not particularly kind or attentive to the residents. I am constantly having to ask them why my father hasn't received his bath or been shaved. One aide was rough with my father and I had to complain to management. I would move him if he wasn't currently on hospice and the facility is so close to my home. I feel like i need to drop in at odd times to make sure he is getting the care we pay for. They are raising his rent $600.00/month although the care they are charging for is getting worse. They charge $2.00 per meal each day for meals eaten in the room even though my father is on hospice and has severe Parkinsons disease and can't go to the dining room. The management seems uninvolved with what is going on with the residents, however the on duty nurse is very good. If my father wasn't on hospice at this time i would definately move him and wouldn't recommend anyone waste their money on Summer Breeze.

Somerford place calls itself asst living but it seems more like skilled nursing. Almost all the patients are in wheelchairs with walking people wandering the halls. It seems like there are too many patients per staff also. The people working the rooms seem rushed. The place also smells like pee. Some patients were yelling at people.The person selling the room acted like everything was just tine and I had a hard time believeing what she was telling me. The people in the activity area were playing a TV game where most of the patients looked bored. The person playing the game had fun but no one else. It is also very expensive. Also the place looks dirty and smelly.

We did not have a good experience with this community at all. We originally selected it for assisted living for my loved one, but when we went to move him in there was nobody from the administration there to check him in or let us know how things worked there, we were just expected to get his things into his room and leave him there. We decided if this was the degree of care he'd be receiving from their assisted we had better try the memory care section for some additional supervision. After a few days there we noticed he had not been bathed, even after having an accident, and when we asked why they told us we'd have to sign up to be on the list for shower assistance. We were already paying quite a lot of money, and I was shocked to hear they'd let him sit around in his own waste without saying anything to us.

She was here initially...pretty much a run down facility wreaking of urine...dark and dungy! This would be a last resort only if money is limited because price is very good!

Unfortunately I was not impressed with his facility . The place seems like it needs a makeover , it smelled and the staff wasn't friendly and inviting. The clientele dint seem happy to be there. Made me sad

The person that was supposed to give us a tour was giving someone else a tour, we waited an hour and the person did not come back. This was not the best experience for us and we left after this happened.

Our family had an in person tour and we were so excited about the tour, however we 100% hated the experience. We put down a deposit for our loved one, and we ended up getting refunded later because they never lived up to their promises. It was very "car salesmen like" which we did not appreciate. The lady giving us all the information was all about business. The outside of the facility is very clean, and nice but the inside is the completely opposite. That is how they suck you in. It is not as clean as it appears, and it does not seem safe for those in wheelchairs. I would not put my best friends dog in Greenhaven.

The place has really gone downhill since the new director took over. She likes to make things about herself but presents as someone who cares about the folks that live here, when in reality she only cares for herself. She speaks to us residents like we are dumb half the time and does not seem to care about our opinions. I believe multiple residents here are not receiving the care they need and we continuously have new move ins that are not at all appropriate for independent living or even assisted, but it’s rent money paid every month so management does not care who moves in. Too many recent changes for the negative and I will be actively looking for better places to live that are run by someone who actually cares about the PEOPLE and not the money.
