The entire Carolina Reserve team has been accommodating as they possibly could be during these trying covid times and we are greatly appreciate. [Name removed] has especially gone above and beyond. The entire community displays a sense of caring and compassion and we feel that our loved one is safe and well cared for here.

I would recommend this community. The caring staff had a very personal touch for my loved one. It made his experience very good. He didn't think he needed a setting like that. In the end he didn't want to leave. My loved one enjoyed the food, the cook asked what type of food my loved one liked to make sure he had choices.

We have a family friend, senior gentleman, living there for over a year. He has been very content and has often said he wished he had moved in earlier. They have been very careful to avoid COVID19 through careful screening and by having their own full time staff, rather than contract workers that visit various facilities.

The care and attention to detail is what sets this company apart. They truly strive to make the client and their family happy; which is extremely difficult in this time. Any questions I have are promptly answered and I have never had a problem regarding any issue!

We chose Northstar Place because of the value for what you get as well as the location. The room sizes here are very good. The food needs improvement according to my dad. The staff members excel at their job, especially [names removed]. They have all gone out of their way to make my father feel at home here. My favorite part about the community so far has been the staff members. I would absolutely recommend this facility. I could not happier.

I visited a lot of facilities before we chose Cypress Place. We chose Cypress Place because when you walked in the door, you felt welcomed. It didn't feel like you were walking into the nursing home. The private room my dad was in here were decent size. He was not very fond about some of the food here. I would want others to know that the head nurse [name removed] is a very compassionate person. When he was put in the hospital, she would visit everyday. She was very thorough and helpful. Overall, I would recommend.

We chose the legacy because it felt like home, they were just that caring. The room sizes are great, very spacious. I am not as pleased with the food as I would like to be. I do not think memory care gets a lot of the the nutritious foods that they need, but the new manager seems to be trying to change this. My favorite part about the community is the family feel of it. Overall, I would recommend.

everyone very helpful and pleasant during this difficult time. we know my wife is well taken care off. our son [name removed] set up Alexa Echo in our home and her room with the help of [name removed] so we can see and talk to her every day...if she has a problem with her unit the staff are always willing to help her it just takes a phone call to the front desk...keep up the good work and GOD bless

We moved my parents in to the Reserve and Mills Farm at the end of July! I have never seen them so happy. I get a call everyday from my mom telling me about the activities that they did that day, whether it was taking a zumba class, going to happy hour, playing bingo, painting a picture or playing bocci ball. I also receive pictures of the delicious dinners they have. They rave about their chef. The staff there go out of their way to make sure they , and us, have everything we need. One morning my parents decided to stay upstairs and eat breakfast and just have a chill morning. Around 11:00 or so that morning, they got a call from the front desk checking to make sure they were okay , since they had not seen them that day! What relief that gives me as a daughter. The last thing I want to mention is a quote that came out of my dads mouth. One Friday morning they were just getting up and mom told dad that today was Happy Hour at 4:00. My dad looked at my mom and said "every day here is happy hour" ! I could not have picked a better place for my parents!!!

Placing our mother into an assisted living resident was one of the most difficult decisions our father and his family has ever had to make and this was done in the middle of the pandemic. The staff at Carolina Reserve have been so helpful, and it has been comforting knowing that they think of our mom as part of their family, not just some elderly lady that lives in the residence. The staff are all true professionals and are supportive of the abilities that mom still has, encouraging her do as much as she is capable of, in order to keep her physical and mental skills active and in use while assuring that at all times she is safe and does not become overwhelmed. Mom walks daily and she enjoys interacting with the staff who have encouraged her to ask us for personal photos, artwork, special nightgowns and clothes that makes her feel in control of her day and her bedroom. Our mom is treated with respect and kindness and she refers to the Carolina Reserve at Hendersonville as her "New Home." There are no words to thank everyone at the residence. I know she is cared for and she is truly in her own home. While this make have been a difficult decision, it was the right decision in our situation and we are most grateful for what they have done and are doing for our family today and everyday. Thank you.

We chose Brookdale Berkeley Boulevard because my father was in another Brookedale previously and liked the facility. We also liked the size of the rooms, they are very spacious, enough room for two. My parents say the food is good and they enjoy it. Their favorite part about the community has been the in-room service. I would recommend this facility.

My wife and I lived in a first-class CCRC in the Triangle for three years and found that we loved the concept. We had no home-maintenance worries, great food, and good friends. The only down-side from our perspective was that their business model was predicated on a BIG up-front buy-in, all of which was 100% refundable upon death or moving out. We decided that with blended families (6 kids, 14 Grands, and 2 Greats) we wanted the flexibility to use some of those funds in support of those family members rather than holding on to a great "estate" to pass on when we were gone. We found the perfect solution at The Reserve at Mills Farm which offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care for a monthly payment and no big buy-in. If our plans change we owe them only sixty days' notice to move out. While they are too new (we were among the first dozen occupants) to rate them on Care Services or Activities I can say that early indications are very positive. New activities are added almost daily as more occupants move in and we really are enjoying the in-house movie theater. Check it out! We would love to have more new neighbors! I CAN promise fantastic food!

I want to recognize [name removed] for her time and efforts to help me work through a difficult change with my mom. [name removed] has shown compassion and concern for me and mom and she has worked with me and provided affordable and reasonable options with moving my mom to memory care. She is well suited for her job and strong advocate!

My parents' magnanimous welcome to The Reserve began months before move-in day! My dad is 90, who miraculously recovered from Covid, and my mom is 85 with some dementia. They lived all there adult lives in Brooklyn, NY in the same house for over 60 years; now they needed a little extra help to continue living independently. Add to this that my parents are Italian and speak broken English, they were very anxious about leaving everything that was familiar to move to another State. I had to find the right "fit" for my parents. By the grace of God, I found The Reserve and was greeted by [name removed], Dir of Sales/Marketing. We sat down and she explained the mission of The Reserve is to serve residents with dignity, respect, and love. Every feature at The Reserve is designed to create a loving home for residents filled with human interaction, comfort, safety, delicious food, and fun activities. The entire staff, from the Executive Director to housekeeping, work as a team committed to creating an environment of joy! Next, [name removed] met with my parents several times showing them the apartments, grounds, and activity rooms to ease their worries. Moreover, she introduced them to [name removed], the Life Enrichment Coordinator and [name removed], Chef, to reassure them that life here would be fun and the food scrumptious! Food is really important to my Italian parents. [name removed], the Executive Director and [name removed] helped us decide on the best option-- Independent or Assisted Living. After we chose The Reserve, [name removed] was exceptionally accommodating in helping us upfit the apartment before move-in day. He took lots and lots of time answering all our questions. On move-in day as my parents entered through the doors, they were greeted with applause and cheers! My parents felt like celebrities. My parents room is spacious and beautiful. My mother can now be among her things again without all the responsibility of managing it all on her own. My dad can relax and know that he is in a safe place just in case he needs help. And I can relax knowing that they are treated with respect and loving care. In the first two days of living at The Reserve, my parents are smiling ear to ear. In fact, to make them feel especially welcome, my dad received a call from [name removed] senior chef under whom he trained in Italy to welcome him "home" in his native Italian language!! My dad asked for a haircut and an appointment was made immediately. As he walked out of the salon, everyone commented on how handsome he looked. My dad beamed.[name removed], Activities Coordinator for IL, rolled out the red carpet and walked them through the facility again explaining everything in great detail and made sure that the apartment was "Alexa-enabled" to assure that if they needed emergency help, it was one short command away. All the residents greeted my parents and looked forward to getting to know them better. We made the right decision in choosing The Reserve!!!

I would tell my friends to make arrangements and go. I had to stay at this community on an emergency basis. I was able to make friends with a lot of the residents. I had a ball when I was there. The people were so friendly. The community has activities, and what they had I enjoyed. They did have a movie one night and we enjoyed that.

The staff at this community is wonderful, i would give them a six our of five stars if we could. We do feel as if we are getting our moneys worth. Our loved one is currently living in the memory care unit which costs more to live there. Some activities they had before COVID, were entertainment groups come in to sing, they would dance for the residents. They have arts and crafts, bingo, and exercise's classes. The food was presented well, they have outstanding coffee. Our loved one had a pretty nice room when they lived in the assisted living. The overall look of the community is very nice, its always kept clean and it even smells good. They have a courtyard for the residents to hang out at. The people are always friendly at this community. They have a beauty salon which is outstanding, the beautician is amazing she is very friendly.

Our loved one was there for four days and she didn't have partake in any activities. This is a beautiful place, and I would recommend it highly. The staff was very nice and still nice to her as she was leaving.

My contact there is [name removed] who was most helpful and could answer all my questions. I had the virtual visit this morning and saw the room that Mom would have should we choose them. I like them because they have 6 levels of care, so basically once Mom went there she would not have to leave. Plus, it is right down the street from my house.

We had to find a memory care facility for my aunt [name removed] last year and in a very divine fashion, we were blessed to find Preston House Memory Care. I used to own a home care business so I'm a little leery about leaving a loved one in someone else's care where I can't see what's going on versus having her at the house where I have some kind of control on witnessing care. But I can attest to this place because my aunt was very happy being a resident there. The staff were very caring, a lot of them went above and beyond to make sure my aunt was well taken care of, including protecting her from any interference from anyone or anything that may deviate her from her care. They were always communicating with me on her status, her care, and or anything that she may need. We lost our aunt this year(2020) from natural causes, but on her home going service, a few of the staff came to speak about my aunt that made me feel just that much more appreciative of their team. I know my aunt [name removed] is smiling down from heaven when she heard what the staff had said about her, but as someone who was in charge of making sure she received the best care we can afford, Preston House was definitely well worth it! From my family, thank you staff of Preston House for all the things that you've done to make sure my aunt [name removed] was comfortable, taken care of, and safe.
