We looked high and low and found a great place for my parents given they were not keen about leaving their home of many years. Over a year later, we are thrilled! My father moved in after losing his wife of over 60 years. He is more introverted, yet he has thrived. He participates in numerous activities each week. He is particularly encouraged to meet so many vibrant residents doing well into their 90's. He is stimulated intellectually and has even stated exercise classes. The staff is truly caring and facility is clean and nice. Food is quality. Highly recommend!

My loved one is in Memory Care - We transferred from another facility and are so thankful we did. The care and attention given by staff - from Nursing to Culinary - everyone is so educated and empathetic to the needs of each and every resident. Everyone here - from the moment we walk in to the moment we leave - treats us like family - a loved family. We are so very happy we made a move to The Carrington.

After 2 weeks my mother is more active than she has been in years! People and staff are welcoming and eager to please. Facility is bright and cherry. She was hesitant to change but has adapted beautifully. She said she has no time to even read her newspaper - a good thing indeed.

Friendly and caring staff. Variety of activities. Beautifully decorated common areas. Dining selections for all tastes. Welcoming residents. Near-by shopping experiences. Lovely landscaped grounds. Resident transportation available.

Lots of amenities, priced a little high, but very inclusive. Even have a bus to Sunday mass nearby. Seems to be a very active community.

The staff goes out of their way to help residents. Wonderful staff! I am so happy my mom moved it. I know she's safe and happy.

This is one of the best decisions I ever made. To relocate our loved one to The Carrington in Lincolnwood before and shortly after it opened in [date removed]. The memory care unit is wonderful. The staff is friendly and they look after your loved one.

Residents call it a first class floating cruise ship without ports of call. Food is the largest selection of items of any restaurant. Charge at unbelievably reasonable prices. Fresh white fish and salmon everyday - great petite filets etc. Residents are also from all over the world. Only place to stay.

I've been planning to rent an apartment at the Carrington for the past year. I believe that this facility will meet my needs at this time of my life. The staff, too many to list, have been patient and [illegible]. Lately I met with [name removed], move in coordinator, who just [illegible] in the forefront. What a gem! [name removed] is lucky to live here!! Looking forward to my time at the Carrington.

We did tour Carrington as well. Staff was very warm & professional. The facility is beautiful! Still waiting to see if they have availability for short term respite care, but the facility meets all the needs of our parents. Would suggest touring the Carrington as an option.

Very new facility. Beautiful decor--lots of natural light, spacious and clean. Large floor plans for assisted living with 1 and 2 bedroom units. Seem to be only 1/3 full. Within my desired budget and located fairly close to the expressway. Staff friendly

Very nice. Expansive. Has salt water pool. very modern without being cold.

Wonder place. Beautiful well appointed common areas. Great activities and outings. Food is really good. Apartment is just right for me. Great service personnel

I totally agree with the first review. The representative took her time to get to know my mom and the family. She was very warm and personable. The models shown were beautiful and perfect for my mother. We are signing.

[Removed] is an excellent sales rep - very personable. She spent 15 minutes finding out about my mother's history and interests before even talking about the Carrington. She spent a lot of time with us to make sure all our questions were answered. Although The Carrington is still under construction and we were only able to see 2 model apartments, we were very impressed with the facility. My mother is almost ready to sign!

We chose The Carington at Lincolnwood because it was a new facility and it was built to be what it was. A lot of what we looked at were converted from hotels and such. The apartment sizes are very good. Being fairly new, it was easy to acclimate and make new friends because everyone was pretty new. I would recommend without reservation.

The Carrington at Lincolnwood has done an amazing job with COVID. They have had very few cases and are doing a great job with keeping all of the residents safe. They are doing outside visits with your loved one during these times. We chose this facility because the location to family and it just seemed to be a good fit my sister. The best part is having the comfort and security of knowing my sister is safe. She has also made friends within the community. I would highly recommend it.

" I moved my mom from an Independent Living Facility in Winston-Salem, NC. [date removed] because she needed a higher level of care and no other family members were in NC. Initially, I was happy with the facility I placed her in. However, when the Director of Nursing left and Parkinson Disease patients were placed on the floor she received minimal care because she was high functioning. November 2018 three new memory care facilities opened and there were more options. What sold me on the Carrington's Memory Care Unit was: ??Dedicated and consistent staff: nursing assistants, nurses, food service, and life enrichment that are patient with the residents and accommodate their quirks. ??This fall my mom developed pneumonia which can be devastating for someone 94 years old. The nurse noticed it immediately and got the portable x-ray and MD there within 12 hours and mom was back on her feet within 48 hours after being unable to walk. ??Pleasant and open environment. Rooms are designed by someone that understands the residents. I appreciate the locks on the closets since my mom is always packing to go on a trip or home. Now there is less stuff to pack and put back ??Family member's have the option to take residents to some of the independent living facility activities which expands their options ??Great food with a variety of selections versus being served family style I am especially thankful that she is at the Carrington during the quarantine based on the staff's dedication and management's timely updates"

The Carrington is a brand new facility that offers Assisted Living (@ 88 apartments), Memory Care (@ 25 rooms) and Independent Living (@ 250 apartments). They opened in May 2018 and are slowly, but surely, getting the units filled in. My in-laws are in the Assisted Living which only has about 1/4 of the apartments filled at this time, but new residents move in frequently. The staff is great and they work with the surrounding community for medical services, activities and more. The medical attention to residents is very personalized and they keep up with required services. Each resident is given an electronic fob for emergency as well as access to their apartment. The food is good, although the chef is working on satisfying all needs and still working on the menu. The apartments are gorgeous with wide spaces and room to comfortably move around. Each room has their own thermostat. The best is that the showers are zero-entry....no lip on wall to step over. The other great service is that the town of Lincolnwood has worked with the Carrington to provide emergency services (ambulance) on premises 24/7 to take people to the hospital as needed the second something goes wrong. No waiting for emergency services! I highly recommend the Carrington. It is competitively priced with other facilities in Chicago and are very reasonable for the services they provide.
