If family member is in good health, it would be a good place but if there are any medical concerns I wouldn't recommend it. NO WAY!!! After my loved one fell, the staff stopped treating him like he was a person and the family was a burden. They left him in bed and only came to deliver meals, medication or change him. They didn't get him out of bed for 3 weeks. The staff avoided our family. Very disappointed because we had high expectations.

We toured MerryWood on Park. It was a terrible experience for us. The elevator sounded like it was going to die, and this was concerning. The size of rooms weren't what we expected and there was a lack of natural lighting. Also at another community we toured, both residents and employees stopped us in the hall to talk as we were visiting. No one did that at MerryWood. MerryWood was very dark and depressing. Lots of people using mobility devices. They had a musician playing in the living area and there were not enough seats such that they were overflowing down the hallway

The facility always had a bad smell. Some of the staff were okay, but for the most part they were not good. A lot of them had attitude - it was not a customer friendly environment. It was not easy or pleasant to work with the nursing staff, especially in regards to medication administration. My loved one said the food was okay. But overall, it was not a good experience. And I would not advise anyone to go there.

It was clean a community. My loved one was there a short period of time. They need to stop being picky about the residents that they take.

I did not have a good impression of Villas of Holly Brook Chatham. The facility was not very clean. And it almost seemed like they weren't interested or didn't have enough time for us when we did the tour.

Daytime staff is good. Medication management is performed well during day hours. Nightime and weekends are woefully understaffed and nearly everything falls apart regularly. Communication appears to be defined as "transmit only when there is a general issue". It is very difficult to get nursing leader or charge nurses to discuss things when necessary.

Make sure to ask for invoices and receipts of all financial transactions, Visit every day if possible, demand you're contacted with updates on a regular basis, and do not let them pressure you. When we first moved my mom in, they overdraft my account and had to credit us over $[XXXX amount removed]. Another thing that happened - my mom was sent to the hospital and no one could tell me which hospital she was taken to and it took us 4 hours to locate her. They've managed to lose personal property and I have to ask for her room to be swept. I won't even talk about the bathroom. A lot of the day staff are nice/friendly but the evening crew is undesirable. The reason I placed my mom at Gentry Park has a lot to do with the fact that they called me constantly to "help" us with the transition. I must admit that the nurses at Gentry are Gold.

Assisted Living at The Meadowlands was an older facility so it did not have that homey feeling to it. I felt like I would have been putting my mom into an institution rather than assisted living and I knew it would not be a good fit for her.

I am extremely disappointed in our experience at The Meridian at Boca Raton. I do not think they have proper staffing and the care is not what we were promised we would be getting. I would not recommend them to other families looking.

They got in over their heads and did not provide the proper care for my father. He had bed sores and they did not report them and he was sent to the hospital. They have a hard time keeping staff and the staff that they do have aren't trained properly. It is a very beautiful community and the people are friendly, but it all comes back to being short staffed and not being able to provide adequate care.

The assisted living side seemed nice. The memory care side...the floor was sticky and there was an extreme scent of urine. Overwhelming...unpleasant. For me, I just couldn't. Looked like the residents were happy.

I have learned for Senior Living Facilities, substance is much more important that glitz. If you are able to visit and care for your loved ones on a daily basis, the Symphony at the Waterways can be an okay place. It is a very nice building and view with good activities (including beautiful movie theater) but it is quite expensive. Selling points that were included at move in are continually cut back while prices continue to rise. There has been constant, excessive staff turnover at all levels, including strong employees and leadership. Some current staff is very loving and caring. Healthcare has been inconsistent, lots of mistakes, medicines administered at the wrong times, and do not follow doctors orders/instructions. Response time is very slow, you often wait over 30 minutes when paging staff for issues requiring physical assistance. Quality of food has been poor, and dining room has often run out of basics like butter, sugar, rolls or ice cream for many days. Leadership constantly talks about fixing things but does not follow through. There is a sense that increasing profits are the highest priority. Many of the reviews on other sites are brief or just one liners and seem to be from company employees to elevate ratings rather than residents or their families. It speaks volumes that responses to negative reviews are from a corporate marketing group to spin the review and appear that they are being responsive -- as if repeated attempts to resolve issues were not already tried with the many different executive directors or other staff leadership.

This facility is in need of some improvements. There is no question that it is a beautifully decorated facility. However you are promised and sold a list of services that after almost a year are not delivered. First, their turnover of staff is very high which is not conducive to the sense of security and consistency that people at different stages of memory lost required. Secondly, the facility has three levels of care; independent living, assisted living and memory care. The assisted living level, in my opinion , has patients that required a a higher level of care which burdens the staff and is unable to provide the proper care to those who are more able. Thirdly, the memory care program that was promised has not been implemented. Fourthly, the 5 star restaurant is "okay" nothing exceptional and at times "unacceptable". On the other hand, during special occasions when they have families or they invite the community the food is very good. There is not consistency in the quality and presentation of the food on a daily basis. The activities are okay when they do have them. Lastly, the care is "hit or miss" and overall not consistent.

My mother was only in the assisted care portion of the facility for 4 days before they decided that she was agitated and needed to be medicated to calm her down, something I had not noticed on my daily visits. No one at the facility bothered to tell me that they put my mother on a new medication, and the medication they gave her was clearly deemed inappropriate for elderly patients even by the manufacturer. My mom had a very bad reaction to the medication (acutely increased agitation and anxiety, loss of balance and coordination, mood changes, increased memory problems, etc). The staff either did not recognize that these issues were side effects of the drug they gave her (clearly documented possible side effects) or they simply did not monitor her for any side effects. My mom reached a crisis stage before I was told she was on this medication. Once that medication was stopped, she was back to her old self in just a few days. I have moved my mother out of this facility and into a different one where she is happy, healthy, and thriving, and where the staff does not medicate residents for their own convenience and also keeps family members informed of any and all changes occurring with their loved ones. I just wish we went there first and saved my mother the pain and suffering she endured at The Meadowlands!

I would not recommend cypress place for assisted living or for value. My mother was there and I could never get cooperation fro the higher staff. It was always we can't do anything until it was time for her to move out and then they were saying they can do that and they'd hate to have her leave. It was like a used car salesman. They went through 3 directors in about as many years. They just seemed to want to cut cost as opposed to taking care of people. It used to be that the staff and that were much more positive when you're there with them and interacting but they just kept laying people off and the place just kind of fell apart. I think they're getting a lot of people in there based on their old reputation, not how they are now.

It's more corporate run and that's why we left, it was a mess and they just couldn't think outside of the box at all. She was in the AL building and really required very little assistance, she needed assistance with medication dispension and bathing. She had been there for a very long time but started having hallucinations from medication, she knew what she was seeing wasnt real but it was disturbing for everybody and we went through all sorts of nonsense with them because of it. They kept calling 911 even after her doctor had seen her, normally the med techs he knew her were always able to stay calm and get her comfortable again so I was furious. She wasn't getting the attention she needed and I thought these people didn't know what they were doing or how to handle anything.

It has been a horrible experience for us. The staff are very rude to the residents and private aides. The sales person had me believing that my loved one would be taken care of, and this hasn't happened. They have had 1 nurse for 3 floors, and 1 nurse for 7 floors. The staff has not communicated to the doctor or family about health concerns of my loved one. There have been times the community has delivered medication late to my loved one. There have also been times the community doesn't respond to the call requests made by my loved one. There have been times the community hasn't assisted with changing my loved one overnight. Even after I would express concerns about the care to the community, they wouldn't act upon these concerns. The aide during the day would be the only changing my loved one. There is no speech therapist on staff. The family has had to hire outside transportation to take our loved one to appointments, as the transportation the community has is too busy. They have switched medications on my loved one, and didn't communicate this with the family. I was even willing to pay out of pocket for the specific medication that the doctor prescribed for my loved one. They also never communicated this change or that they couldn't get the specific medication. The community has lost 2 Directors of Nursing and multiple CNAs. There is no formal communication plan with the family, and there have been times the community doesn't respond to questions or concerns. I have made multiple requests for things and they still haven't fulfilled these for the family. There has been no care plan initiated by the community or they have neglected to fulfill this request. I wouldn't recommend the community to anyone for their loved ones.

We are only three weeks in. So far, we are considerably unimpressed. This facility is understaffed and not great at following through in promises. Examples: • The mail from the prior resident is still being delivered to my MIL's mail box. I had to change the name information myself. • my MIL was not assigned an "ambassador or buddy" as we were told • trash and boxes were stacked up outside her residence and a neighbors for 6 days before I complained loud enough for the trash to be removed. Safety hazard. • we still haven't received a parking spot as promised. • the wiring is odd. The TV has to be reset multiple times per day. • housekeeping staff were kind enough to drop by to introduce themselves and tell us that they only have two staff members and we should only expect monthly housekeeping services; not weekly as promised. • the door weather stripping is still in the middle of the floor despite being reported via work order. Again, tripping and safety hazard. I could go on and on but I'm busy looking at alternate options.

My wife was at Pinnacle for a short time. My family moved her out of that hellhole. On a scale of 1 to 5 as 1 being bad, I give the Pinnacle a score of minus one (-1) The only good thing about the Pinnacle is the landscaping!! The staff doesn't care about the personal care residents. PERIOD!!

I did not tour Gentry Park on the 23td. Instead I met with in a[name removed] conference room for a Q&A session. I did not see an apartment or anything more than the lobby. What I did see was well kept and the staff seemed very friendly.
