This was one of the worst facilities I’ve ever heard of, and seen- they treated my mother with disrespect, they were uncaring and not attentive at all. The aids all need retraining, to understand what the meaning of caring for someone with dementia actually means. It does not mean you tease them. It does not mean that you grab them by their arms and force them to do things they don’t want to do it does not mean That you complain about the family when they’re asking you to check in on their mother because she has fallen in her room- it definitely does not mean that there should be 4 aids standing around while your mother is crumpled on the floor, crying. it definitely does not mean you call the family members liars when they have video proof of the way their mother is being treated. it does not mean you say the family is just trying to make excuses to sue the facility. It does not mean when a family member complains that your reply is “SMH” rather than looking into the issue.

My mother has been in their memory care for 2 years. The first year was fantastic, specifically the memory care director. Once [name removed] took over executive leadership of memory care leadership changed, and everything changed for the worse. The new memory care director makes an effort but is nowhere to be found during the holidays, doesn't communicate events of arrange anything with the families and the residents are given cold leftovers instead of the festive dinners that used to occur. [name removed] cuts out mid day when you have a meeting with her and doesn't return calls. Communication is a nightmare. The nurses are fantastic, but it's clear there is tremendous turnover likely due to the underperforming management. The costs are excessive; sure you get great nurses, but the residents are not getting any extra benefits they deserve for the costs you pay.

Based on the experience we had with Cypress Place, we would highly not recommend them to other families.

I wanted to share some feedback with other families considering CCH for the needs of their loved ones. Within the last year, many issues resulted in a traumatic experience for my sister including: Poor Staffing - we experienced inadequate staffing levels and training. As my sister’s health declined, this resulted in slow response times, a lack of care and unnecessary pain Poor Leadership - the facility seemed to have a hard time recruiting and retaining senior staff (i.e director of nursing). This resulted in a lack of leadership at critical times (especially in coordination with other professionals outside) Poor Communication - as her health declined, poor communication created anxiety for her family and suffering for her. We also found the staff unresponsive to calls and emails Similar to other families, we hired additional staff to monitor her health and advocate for her on a daily basis. In the end, all of our efforts weren't enough to overcome CCH’s shortcomings.

Terrible care unless your loved one is alert and oriented and can take care of themselves. I suggest you put a camera up in room like we did, it does help somewhat. Empty promises. Director and office staff do not return phone calls. ALWAYS short staffed is their excuse for lack of proper healthy care. Many times we cleaned our Mom and her room, emptied trash, took dirty laundry home, ETC, ETC, ETC. PATHETIC that when our Mom passed away and we cleared out her room, when we handed keys to wellness Director who knew us well from many meetings regarding complaints on lack of care, she DID NOT even give any condolences, say how sorry she was for our loss of our Mom. She is a fake. Anyone considering placing their loved one there may feel free to reach out with questions.

The food here is really, really, really bad! I don't feel they have enough staff in the dining room. There isn't a lot of choices. There isn't really an opportunity to make substitutions. The grilled cheese was horrible, and the fish was poor quality. This wouldn't be a good place for a picky eater. There were some staff that were sweet to work with, and others that weren't as pleasant to work with.

Management recently changed and are hoping things will improve, however, the past 4 months have been a nightmare. Maybe our expectations were too high, but have had 2 falls, a faulty call light, not enough supervision when residents are ill, and the list goes on and on.

Rating is POOR! I moved my parents after 4 month of Administration with poor management. THE DON and the Executive Director are not ethical in all practices and reinforcement of policies. Med management is poor- non existent. No collaboration with the neighborhood hospital. Poor response time to help and or medication requests. Family communication- non existent. Unable to follow care plan. Poor staff moral and limited training if at all for the staff. They are interested in the money and the money only.

I am extremely disappointed in our experience at The Meridian at Boca Raton. The director doesn't get back to you takes several attempts. They facility does not have proper staffing to care for their residents. The aides weren't very nice and were rushed to give care , because there wasn't enough staffing. Food was subpar. If your love one needs assistance do not move in here.

Our families experience started out really positive, but when our loved one fell and broke his arm everything changed. He was no longer able to do things by himself and therefore told us we needed to move our loved one out - during the three weeks we were looking for a new place the staff did not get our loved one out of bed one single time. When we would come to visit the staff all of a sudden tried to avoid our family, it seem like they wanted to avoid answering any questions. They just seemed to want to go about their day.

We were very unhappy with our experience at Pine Grove Crossing. They had a lot of turnover of staff, especially the directors. The care my loved one received was poor and they messed up many medications. The food was not good. I did not realize how bad things were until I realized how good things could be at another facility.

I would encourage you to not take your loved one here. They didn't clean the bathroom or room my loved one was there. They didn't give my loved one showers or change them. The room looked nice during the tour. I spoke to Melanie, and told her about my concerns. She said things would be taken care of. These concerns weren't taken care of. I ended up moving my loved one out of the community due to my disappointments. I feel this place needs to be closed down. The only good thing about the community was the food. However, the staff never interacted with my loved one.

Communication between the staff and the family does not exist. The promises that were made did not happen. They didn't follow the care instructions given by our Dr. And the food options listed were not available. I would not recommend this community to others.

My grandma falls here frequently. No one answers the phone. I have witnessed staff yell at her. Looks nice from first glance. You can put lipstick on a pig.....

Initial impression was ok, building is older, but fairly well maintained. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the facility had 24-7 nursing staff and offered many services. However, there was an odor about the place that they tried to mask with air fresheners. The old carpet and padding is probably holding years of bad smells. I think I saw a diaper stuffed behind some books in the living room shelf on the 5th floor. I really like the renovated units, I noticed how much better the air quality was in the new units. The common areas and occupied units should also be renovated with carpet replaced for the prices they are charging. Also, none of the residents were smiling, and one gentleman had to call rescue for himself after being dismissed by at least two employees.

I had a loved one living in the memory care unit. The staff was not good at keeping HIPA laws. We would give instruction on keeping her room lock when at a rehab center and don't let anyone in. They let others in. They gave a lot of promises to train and change things BUT NEVER HAPPENED!!!!!

I was not happy with the care there. The staff was nice when I called about my mom. We paid for extra care that we did not get here. We were never able to find the staff. We came and took her out for a visit and they did not realize that she was gone. They did not take care of her personal needs until we brought it to her attention. The food was not what we were informed that. They did offer her some activities at this. They did not give her medication as directed. I would not recommend this community to other families.

We had high hopes when we moved into this facility. The director was very, very nice! Things have not gone well from the beginning, but that seems to have more to do with ownership than management. When the director left, things changed for the worse. My loved one is not getting the proper care they need. We have visited the hospital various times. An employee lied about my loved one. Laundry isn't being returned and garbage is not being taken out. The physical building is very nice. There are several people there that are nice but, overall it has been a bad experience. This would be a good facility for a person who is mostly independent, but a person who needs much assistance is not going to get it.

While my mother, [name removed], was there an employee took a picture of my mother IN THE SHOWER and put it on snapchat. Hid this from me until a friend told me. Despicable place for your loved one!!!

The looks of the place would like to be of luxury and efficiency but it's just an appearance. My husband spent some time there and it was really disappointing. The caregivers have a very low level of empathy and low professional standards. The management seems to be ignorant of whats going on or maybe they are incompetent to challenge the situation. My husband fell in the elevator and spent some time on the floor trying to stand up. As a consequence of the effort he got some scratches on his knees. I was out of the country and didn't learn about it until I came back two weeks later. I found my husband in a deplorable state, with infected wounds which were not treated properly. Their answer to my inquiries was: "We are not supposed to treat infected wounds because an specialized nurse should take care of them ". So, here I was taking my husband to the ER because the wounds looked really bad and covering completely his knees. This is the level of care of that place. And this is only one incident but there were more. Eventually I took my husband back home. I give them 1 star because I can't give them 0.
