Best place around- lucky to have it in Aledo with wonderful nurses- [name removed] is a delightful nurse and very knowledgeable. Trust her with family,friends, and myself.

I just found our that it's been 4 weeks and one day between showers! His bed doesn't get made. His floor doesn't get swept. His room stinks. It's obvious the staff is not happy working there. The Director won't return a phone call. We requested a meeting and one was scheduled almost two weeks later then when we got there for the meeting nobody from Landings was available due to a weekly staff mtg.

Staff tried but was understaffed. Always cobwebs and grandma complained that time to get help was long. Dealing with their corporate for issues is a nightmare. Big company does what it wants and treats people the way they want “because we do this all the time”

This is a horrible place that will take all your money and not care for you. My sister in law came here when she could no longer take care of herself, They lied about helping her get on Medicaid and instead drained her trust fund over two years and then EVICTED her. Having mental disabilities she could not possibly relocate herself. We live 2000 miles away and came to move her only to find her in disgusting living conditions. There was SKIN all over the floor and she had sores all over her legs, skin falling off her legs, her hair hadn't been washed in months, in fact she had not showered in months, or longer. The management blamed it all on her and took no responsibility, they didn't care where she might go, they just took every penny she had and kicked her out. We also learned they REFUSED to let her in the dining area because she didn't shower (she couldn't do it on her own) and she had lost almost 100 pounds, they also refused to let food be delivered because she couldn't pay the $5 room service fee... HELLO you just took all of her money, is that legal ? Do not send anyone you care about here.

Horrible management, unfriendly,not enough staff

Not enough staff . Always short of help . Friendly staff and helpful. Not enough activities. Food is ok . Administration is terrible. Witness how she talks to her employees. A lot of staff and management left and found new jobs. Really sad ! Used to be a nice place but not anymore.

Terrible experience with mom in Chevy Chase House. It was a dilemma whether to risk further disorienting mom, who had late stage dementia, by moving her to a better run assisted living facility or keep her in Ch Ch House, as her dementia and health worsened. In the end, we made it work with 24 hr private duty nurses, who took wonderful care of mom, in spite of the poor care and awful management at Ch Ch House. I would never recommend Ch Ch House under the current manager and ownership (different than when she moved in) and would never put a loved one there again.

Awfulllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, don't ever put your loved one there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks are deceiving. Terrible exec director, terrible nursing. and we WERE private pay!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom moved in [Removed]. The main attraction was the lobby. It's like walking into a 5-star hotel. After talking with some of the residents, meeting Chef [Removed] and the Life Enrichment Coordinator, [Removed], we decided to move in. The food was great and the activities were great. However, over the past few months the management staff that have left The Peninsula gives us all cause for concern. First it was Chef [Removed], then [Removed] the Life Enrichment Coordinator, the stylist in the salon, and now the Executive Director, [Removed], is leaving. Also, the gentleman they hired to replace Chef [Removed], only lasted a month. From week-to-week you never know if the beauty salon will be open since the original stylist left. I know they're going through a transition right now but family members and residents are concerned.

They have the worst management I have ever seen. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes to have an emergency call answered. Talk with the residents and ask them how long it takes; you'll be shocked at the lack of care and poor management. Staff turnover is very high.

Would not recommend them! They lie to you and keep your money! The care was good but the management will lie to you and when your loved one passes they will not give you any of your money back! There is a lot of turn around in the higher positions due to this fact! I work in the food equipment industry and I am in a lot of these facilities in my area. I have spoke with several of them and they all tell me that when the person passes and you move them out that you are entitled to a refund on the remainder of the month. They told me this as well when I moved my mother into this facility and she was only able to enjoy it for 20 days before she passed away. I had just paid for the following month in advance and they are trying to keep all of that money! I am now in the process of suing them to get what is owed to me and my family. The contract even states that a full refund is due upon death! I think that $9500 for 20 days is extremely CRAZY!!! You need to stay away from this place because they are crooks!

We were assured by management that they could meet all of our Mother's care needs. The truth was they could not and did not. The aides were indifferent, non- communicative, untrained. They are strictly a minimum care assisted living facility, dare not require or request anything at all in addition to that.

My mom-in-law was a resident here for a very short time. Thank goodness. When she got there they found out she had C-diff and after that the staff treated her like a leper. They just gave her a tray and ran out of the room. She asked for milk for her oatmeal and syrup for her pancakes and they never brought any back for her. Her trash was overflowing and was never disposed of until we called and requested it. Even then it took them a couple days to empty it. She got out of her quarantine and after 1 day we found out she had C-diff again. Her visiting nurse went to do her daily check and called us with the news that her bathroom was so dirty that there was dried feces on the floor. After we reported this to the management, they treated her even worse. Thank goodness we got her out of that dirty nasty place.The cleanliness of the facility is very poor. The staff doesn't care and the management is even worse.

Mom was living in a senior independent living apartment until a hospitalization. While she was in rehab we looked for an assisted living facility that could provide her with the additional help she was going to need especially with her newly prescribed opioids and the related elimination concerns. Mom also did not want anymore hospitalizations. The executive director assured us the Lane Park staff could provide the support she would need to achieve the first and strive to prevent the need for hospitalization and they would work hard to help her feel a part of the community. She moved in on a Saturday ten days after the contract was signed. There was no staff member there to greet her or show her around or even explain food services. Her room had not been cleaned or vacuumed and there were spider webs in the corners. When I finally found and spoke with the nurse on duty she acted as if she had no idea who my mother was or what her medication administration schedule was even though I had brought her mr eds the day before. Things never got better. When she began having bowel problems I was told they didn't monitor that. After only 23 days and over $9,000 given to this facility she had to be hospitalized for impacted bowel treatment. In 29 days her mental cognition declined so greatly she now requires long term care. I requested a refund of her buy in and rent twice but was ignored the first time and the second time told all communication would have to be through a lawyer. Not honorable behavior at any level. In the executive directors own words,"We failed your mother miserably."

Where does this place find it's management? So far it has been a joke. The help is almost as bad. No one seems to care. The owners have been notified and nothing changes. I recommend looking at other places. With the right management this could be a great place for seniors.
