The staff was very good, we liked all of them. They were very nice people. The communication between the staff and the family was good and they kept us updated. I would recommend this community to others

I was disappointed in the community they continued to charge even though he was in the hospital and not able to return to the community. I would still recommend this community to others. The staff is very pleasant and does a great job.

The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is because of the accounting department, I get bills already paid and I try calling and emailing and I do not get an answer. Other than that, we have no issues with the facility and it is a very nice, new place. I would recommend to others looking.

The food is absolutely terrible, but the staff is wonderful, they took good care of my mom. The rooms are perfectly fine, mom had a one-bedroom and the size was perfect I would recommend this community to others

We liked that this was a smaller facility and it was also very homey feeling. The room sizes here are on the smaller side but my parents only have a 1 bedroom, they do have other options available, but the bedroom is HUGE. My parents do think that the food could use some improvement. There has been a lot of turnover of staff at this facility but I think that is all across the board. Of all the ones that I toured, I would recommend this community.

I would tell people that it is a good community. The price for what you get is pretty good. I would recommend you monitor the care of your loved one carefully to ensure the care is appropriate. The room is nice and has two different views.

This community is very clean, and most of the staff members are great. It is a little higher priced, but during this time the maintenance guys have been great. The activities were very good up until COVID.

We chose The Peninsula because after the tour, this was a place that I could see my mother in and I knew she would enjoy it. Her room size is very good, she is in a private studio and it is perfect for her needs. She is thrilled with the food and says it is very good. The best part about the community so far would be the activities director, she takes a special effort with my mom and they have formed a great relationship. I would definitely recommend this facility.

Cypress Place is a friendly place, and residents are very friendly to others. If you are outgoing, you will not a have a problem fitting in. The staff is very caring and helpful to everyone. They are also friendly and try their best. The food menu is hard to do a salt free menu; if your loved one would need a salt free diet, it will be difficult.

When we first visited The Peninsula community it was very nice, there was nothing negative that stood out to us. The food they serve to the residents is very good.

We chose this community because of the location, price, and the amenities. Some of the amenities included a gym, a pool, and a nice outdoor space. The room sizes were good. My dad has said the food is not good. Our favorite part about this community is the other residents that are there.

The community is usually clean and the staff is also usually pretty friendly. They do have activities available for the residents to participate in. My dad does not, however, like the food much at all. We do feel like Chapel Hill is a good value for the price.

They had just repainted everything and put in new floors and furniture. We had a problem with a couple of the aids. After we reported our issues, they were able to straighten things out. My sister does not participate in many of the activities, however they are certainly available for the other residents. We also thought Smithfield Woods was worth the price.

The community was always clean when I visited including the common areas and my mother's room. The nurses were all wonderful. The activities director was also great. We picked The Peninsula for my mother because she had actually worked there herself for 10 years. She liked a lot of the staff and knew how the community operated. The care was really good. The only thing that we had an issue with was the food; she didn't like the food much and often complained about it. We ended up buying her her own mini fridge so she could have some of her own choices available. The activities available were great.

If you are independent it is great. I am one of the youngest residents. Most of the other residents are much older around 90 and the activities are geared more to older people. I would like some more active or outdoor activities added. They have larger units than others in the area. It has a nice layout and a walking area around the building. They have a nice exercise room.I am unhappy with the food. They have not worked with my dietary needs as they promised.

Small and quaint

While I enjoyed the atmosphere at Holly Brook, the location was a bit too far away from friends and family to suit my needs. The facility was clean and well appointed.

Smithfield Woods really made my Mom feel at home on the first day. The Memory Care unit is constantly doing things to keep the residents thinking and active. Would like to see more communication with families via email regarding things happening at the facility. The staff are very caring and attentive to the residents.

Our mom was a resident at the Country House for 8 months. We were very pleased with the facility, care and feeling of safety. The place is clean, the staff is kind and attentive, and the activities were good. Trust is a huge factor and this place you can trust. The meals were good, the activities were good (would be great if they added variety), place is clean, nicely maintained grounds, and friends can be made if the resident wants. More aides would be helpful, especially on the weekends. It's difficult to get qualified aides for the salary all these types of assistive living homes pay. It's a shame because management takes a lot of money from the families. We wish they took Medicaid. The only reason we had to take mom out is because of the price. It's just too much to pay monthly. We wish she could have stayed with her friends and aides who cared for her 24/7. Would definitely recommend The Country House.
