I would highly recommend it. I picked this place because it was clean, everyone was super friendly and helpful, the facility grounds were nice and they were very respectful of my mom's privacy and let her decide how much social interaction she wanted. They didn't try to force her to do things she didn't want to do.

The staff all seemed to love their jobs and worked hard. They pulled together facility wise at times and their happy hours were quite joyful and everyone from top to bottom usually participated in those. Their website shows their awesome activities and educational events for families as well as residents were very appreciated. It's an absolutely great facility and I can't say enough good about it!

After visiting 8 or 9 communities, I divided Mcdowell Village was the place for me. That was 8.5 years ago and my decision would be the same today. It is a welcoming place with friendly residents, a responsive and excellent staff in all departments, and enough activities, including fitness classes to fill each day. There can be quiet time whenever you choose. A wide variety of foods come from very accommodating kitchen. Enjoy lovely large gardens and the Scottsdale senior center just across a courtyard; it offers educated interactions and stops for the free trolley line. McDowell Village is a safe, lovely place to live and enjoy!
