Maplewood Senior Living

I have been more than happy with all aspects of Maplewood. The day to day meals and the care are provided with much attentiveness. The staff is very visable and available for conversation or questions. I am quite happy with the communication when medical situations arise. I am confident that if I do have a concern, I would be very comfortable addressing it. I have participated in family programs which were quite beneficial. My ultimate goal has been met, which is the ability to drive away and feel my parent is in the best situation possible.

Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls is a first class community. I recently toured the facility for my loved one in need of memory care. The design of the building is spacious and overflowing with ample space for people to get around. I was professionally greeted and introduced to many staff members on my tour. The staff all were very welcoming and seemed very happy. I even received a cherry pie from their chef as I was leaving. I'd recommend this community to anyone seeking for a loved one with memory care needs.

Finding Maplewood was a true blessing for our mother. The staff is so caring- Mom can be very difficult but they treat her with kindness and respect. She is always clean, clothed appropriately and usually has a cozy blanket on. The staff includes her in all activities in house, even if she sleeps thru much of them. Mom is a picky eater but has maintained her weight with their excellent food and an encouraging staff. Our family has had a very negative experience with another care facility and are so grateful to see our mother so content at Maplewood.

I would highly recommend Maplewood at Twinsburg to anyone who needs assisted living. They were very helpful in making the transition for my dad easy. Their food and dining environment is top notch. The facility itself is well designed, clean, open and always smells fresh. The doctor and nurses kept me well informed of dad's medical care and I could call anytime. I never had to worry about him getting his medication. I especially appreciated the personal interest they took in his individual likes and provided him music, movies and activities that he found enjoyable. Activities were superior...from volleyball, bean bag toss, walking a dog, reading the newspaper, outdoor events, frosting cupcakes...the things they do with their residents are creative, challenging and fun. I also appreciated the frequent email pictures and video clips I received of my dad participating in these events. Their security precautions for my dad were effective - I always felt he was safe. From the initial tour to working with the staff & administration, they were very caring, considerate and professional. The Maplewood Experience made his stay positive and rewarding. For this I am truly grateful.

Maple wood has done a great job of caring for my mother and my father (he visits everyday). They make him feel welcome. My mother is always treated with dignity and they don't push her to do things she isn't comfortable with. We are impressed everyday with how friendly and caring the staff is. The building is beautiful and kept clean. This is true of the dining as well. Guests are waited on and served at the table and the food is very good....

My mother and father enjoyed this community for over 4 1/2 years together. My father passed a few months prior to my mother and the love and caring of the staff was remarkable. As my siblings and I commemorate the 1 year anniversary of my mother, we wanted to post a note of gratitude to our "care partners" at Maplewood of Orange. We can only say "thank you" for all you did for our beloved parents.

I have lived at Maplewood now for about eight months and I have had nothing but a positive reaction to the atmosphere here. the staff go out of their way to be helpful . Sure sometimes there are small problems but that happens anywhere..I like it here and I intend to stay.

we just can't say enough about the staff at Maplewood from top management down through the guys that change light bulbs! their compassion, caring and attention to our loved ones needs are so important to us as the family of a resident for over 11 years now. the facility is beautiful inside and out from the cleanliness of hallways, rooms and common areas to the landscaping. the food service staff do a fantastic job providing GOOD meals prepared from locally grown / raised sources. a wide range of activities are offered daily from musical programs to local sight seeing trips.

My father was here for two years after two years of living in our home with my wife and I. Facilities are lovely, staff friendly and competent and other residents pleasant and easy to get along with. One of the things that made this such a good fit is they have three different levels of service for people in different stages of their lives with different levels of need. Obviously different levels of cost also. My father, as he digressed, went from a minimally assisted level to one where he needed more care and was moved very thoughtfully with no trauma to him. Luckily this facility is close to our home and I was able to visit him almost every day. Because of that I established good relationships with the staff and residents there and now volunteer there on a regular basis. If I did not like the facility or the staff, that never would have been an option. All that being said, the best facility is one where you are able to visit your loved one regularly. In spite of my great opinion of Maplewod at Chardon there was the occasional problem (as there will be at the best of facilities) and the staff was always willing to listen to my concerns and rectify them. When I had an issue I could talk to the aides, nursing director or executive director and expect them to be accessible and concerned and do their best to fix the problem. We had had my father in few other facilities for short term holiday stays in Geauga county before moving him into the Maplewood and this is indeed the best of the bunch.

I hope that when I am in the same circumstance as my mother, I can live at Maplewood in Chardon! When my mother, with memory loss, needed to move away from her home, I had thought that a very small, home-like, environment would be best, with fewer than 5 other residents. We tried that. But then we moved to Maplewood. This is far, far better! She has her own "apartment" which is her private bedroom and a bathroom shared with one suite mate. But my mother would rather be in the bright spacious and interesting common area with her neighbors. The staff are all angels. Not only do the employees giving direct care know their residents, but I am often surprised to hear the housekeeping or dietary staff greet residents by name. In the rare circumstance when I have had a concern with care, staff and management have listened to my concerns and considered my point of view. That's all anyone wants. To have a collaborative relationship with the people giving care to your loved one. I would heartily recommend Maplewood to anyone at any level of aging, and especially to those with declining memory.

If you're considering Assisted Living, then I encourage you to take a tour with [Removed]. These two led the way with our family's initial tour, etc. They both are fantastic to work with, helpful and extremely friendly. This same great attitude is shared by the entire staff - nurses, front desk, housekeeping, kitchen personnel, etc. EVERYONE who works there are very patient and accommodating to the residences and guests! They're very attentive to any concerns you have regarding the special needs your loved one may require. We have one in Vistas and one in Tides, and the level of care is great in both areas! I know you can find less expensive facilities, but I'm not so sure you can find one that provides the level of care that they provide!

This facility was everything that my Mom wants. We were a little disappointed in a studio apartment, but my Mom plans on sending her time out of the room. Hopefully we can work out the $$ numbers.

Everything is going great and we really do like this place. We were kind of rushed to find somewhere and we are happy that everything is going so well. Mom is finally starting to eat again which is good. The community is clean and neat when we go in.

This place is amazing!! My company has clients here and we see every day the love and care they give to their residents. The management and staff are caring and compassionate. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place for a loved one to move to.

We absolutely loved this community. It was a very nice building and our first choice. I was very impressed with what the community had to offer. We even got to eat and the food was awesome. The only thing that I can say that we did not like was that the room was just a bed and a bathroom.

We have been more than pleased with our loved one living at Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls. Their apartment is always clean, staff is very friendly and very patient with our loved one. We had our loved one at another community and it was a memory care, they could not handle the behaviors that our loved one displayed. We have found at Mapelwood, the staff has decreased those "outburst" without increasing the medications. They allow our loved one to wake up on their own, they respect their privacy and have been so loving to our loved one. We have seen an incredible difference and we enjoy visiting. We come at a variety of times throughout the day and evening and with each encounter we have been very pleased. We are very thankful for them all.

It saddened me to read the first 2 reviews. This is NOT what this community or the employees act like. It took me several months to find a community for my Mom. I researched and visited multiple communities during administration hours as well as when the administrative staff would not be at the community. Since my Mom moved into Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls, she has gained weight, became more social and talkative, she loves the personal trainer exercises they provide 5-6 days a week, and she is making friends with other residents who understand her. I can't say enough about the training of the staff, they are so patient and always working to please my Mom. I have never received a bad meal and I eat with my Mom 4-5 days a week. The administrator and the nursing director have always made time to answer any questions I have. I have personally, witnessed both ladies working 1:1 with the residents, assisting in the dining rooms, walking with an agitated resident, hugging their staff, speaking with families. When my Mom was at a skilled facility, they were working short, I never saw the administrator or nursing director unless I was in a meeting. I feel, my family took much time and research to find Maplewood and I would do it again. I encourage anyone to check into this community if you have a loved one with dementia.

Maplewood is my loved one's forever home. I have never been more confident in making a choice. The staff becomes family, and they hear you when you voice concerns. Everyday this place gets better and better!

I want to say that Maplewood has been a gift to our family . After almost 6 years at home cared for by my mom, having some inhome health care givers, going to day activity centers, it became time to find a more secure and inclusive place for him to live. This is an emotional and difficult decision for any family. Unfortunately, our first choice was the wrong choice. This move was followed up by a 2 week hospital stay and 2 weeks in a skilled nursing facility . Our searches for a permanent place during that month brought us to Maplewood of Cuyahoga Falls. We have visited many places. The time Maplewood takes to screen and train their caring employees makes such a difference in the level of care they provide. People make the difference. They take time to learn about the individuals they care for. Families are welcome to Maplewood anytime. The freshly prepared foods at every meal, the bright windowed rooms and the overall positive atmosphere make Maplewood superior to any other facility we viewed. Take the time to have a tour and talk with family members of residents. The staff do all they can to make an atmosphere filled with HEART - the Maplewood philosophy of care giving.

This is a new community that is updated, secure, and big. When I first came for a tour they were friendly and welcoming and I felt like they wanted to create a family environment and interaction. My mom is in the Memory Care and she has the whole 2nd level to walk around and not feel like she is locked up. She has settled in and every single staff from PT to OT has welcomed her. They have helped improved her mobility and nutrition. She eats as much as she want or can without waiting long. She loves the musical interaction, the guitarist comes daily.
